I have oily skin but its much better since I've added more moisturiser. I use the snail gel repair before suncream and also ( I know - not ab, but I love it) aldi serum.

derektheladyhamster · 28/09/2015 07:12

In fact I've cut out all my 'drying' cosmetics apart from the innisfree powder

lucysmam · 28/09/2015 09:09

Sorry! I fell asleep with a message half written last night Confused.

Yes, try a layer of HL and maybe another light layer on top of that in a morning. It might take a few days to see a difference but more moisture has definitely helped me where I didn't think it would.

If you go for snail gel, be sure to let it dry down fully before applying sunscreen - mine was balling up & it took me ages to work out why.

I think I need to add an extra layer of moisture (hurry up ceramide cream) for winter. It's bloody freezing out & my cheeks feel quite tight!

lucysmam · 28/09/2015 09:16

derek, tha aldi serums are highly rated for the price - if we had one near us, I would try them!

FrustratedFrugal · 28/09/2015 13:59

I had my sun damage frozen off with liquid nitrogen today. It smarted quite a bit but I feel so relieved. I just hope the dermatologist was able to zap all of it. My upper lip is a bit mishapen and swollen and totally numb, but it is a lot nicer than having to think about a precancerous thing.

I've several different BB creams. I liked them a lot in hot weather and they were so easy to layer with spf. Dr Jart Premium is probably my favorite, but I liked the Misshas a lot too, the cushion in particular. But now with cooler weather I've gone back to mineral makeup. I feel my skin 'breathes' much better with mineral makeup. My skin is dry/normal. I used the Innisfree No sebum on my nose all summer long because glowy finish BBs made it a bit shiny. With mineral, this is not a problem, I get a fairly matte finish with a very subtle 'lit from within' glow. I am currently using Lily Lolo. I use sunscreen or serum underneath for sun proction and extra moisture.

Yowch! I hope they got it all & it heals well Frugal! Will you have to have it tested again to see if they got it all?

I emailed Skin18 this morning to ask whether the missing masks from their second round freebies thing would mean I couldn't participate in future promotions...they emailed back saying they will re-send with extra gel masks & add me to their bloggers list in return for the odd social media share & blog review if I start one! I felt a bit Blush to ask but quite like their 'just pay postage' promo's & don't want to miss out on random offers because of a lost parcel.

lucysmam · 28/09/2015 19:20

Hmmm, they've just sent me a form to sign & email back...stupid question but; do I print, sign, copy & attach to an email to return it to them Confused

CoconutAmericano · 28/09/2015 20:20

Thank you ladies, i nodded off last night myself Blush. Interesting that adding more moisture may reduce my oil production. I'll defo add the hado labo layer in to my am routine, see if it helps.

FrustratedFrugal · 28/09/2015 20:22

I've put Compeed on the humongous blister on my lip! DH says it looks like fillers gone horribly wrong... The product that triggered this is not Korean

I'm obsessed with dollish veil vita BB cream in purple. Actually use it more than my foundation now. Fairly full coverage, I do powder over the top though
This is it when it's on (I have a highlighter issue so it's not oily on my cheeks) Grin

lucysmam · 28/09/2015 20:48

In purple goodasitgets? Is it actually purple (yes, I realise that is a daft question but, there you go Blush )

Will the Compeed plaster not hurt to take off Frugal?

goodasitgets · 28/09/2015 20:56

Bizarrely it comes out the bottle a purple tint but when applied matches exactly to my skin colour. Purple is meant to be brightening

lucysmam · 28/09/2015 20:58

Oooh, that sounds good! Off to google I go for a look

CoconutAmericano · 28/09/2015 21:30

Your skin is as good as it gets goodasitgets Smile

goodasitgets · 28/09/2015 21:33

Taken much work! I had pretty severe acne as a teenager but skincare and makeup are a slight obsession now

CoconutAmericano · 28/09/2015 21:48

It's theraputic isn't it?

goodasitgets · 28/09/2015 21:56

Very! I work PT as a plus size model so am lucky to have MUA for a lot of it but some shoots I do my own makeup
Did a black swan shoot which was the most amazing thing

lucysmam · 28/09/2015 22:03

goodas, that sounds amazing! I love that film.

goodasitgets · 28/09/2015 22:08

Here you go
Black swan, and the other with my own makeup Smile

lucysmam · 28/09/2015 22:40

Wow! You look fabulous goodas Envy

GrinAndTonic · 28/09/2015 22:53

Goodas I have skin envy! I know I should buy green based makeup as I have red skin but I want purple so I can be bright!

My over exfoliated face is slowly returning to normal. I've used nothing but moisturisers and face packs and sheet masks. I started the BHA the other day and the snail bee lotion last night. I think it's the aha so might reduce it to twice weekly. Dry peeling face is not pleasant,

goodasitgets · 28/09/2015 22:59

That BB cream comes in green as well!

Stevie77 · 28/09/2015 23:22

How long does it usually take for stuff from Korea (or wherever it's coming from) to ship to the UK?

I bought some stuff from Beautynetkorea on Sat and it's still not been shipped. COME ON!

GrinAndTonic · 29/09/2015 00:03

I saw that that it comes in green. Green is boring and is for over but purple is exciting and brightening. Damn my boring red skin.

I think my order from beauty net took four weeks Stevie

HopefulAnxiety · 29/09/2015 02:50

Isn't purple to counteract sallow skin? I thought pink was brightening.

Anyway, newbie here posting because I can't sleep. I have sensitive, dry, rosacea-y skin but also (tmi sorry) excessive sweating due to medication. I find that sunscreen particularly just slides off. Are there any good Korean products for sweaty (not oily) skin? I don't have much of a routine at the moment, start a new job soon so hopefully I can buy stuff once I get paid. I tried Burts Bees Intense Hydration night cream and loved it - so any ideas of things that will go with that?
