In work news, we are being sold off to the highest bidder and will no longer work for current employer. Facing TuPE conditions or redeployment. Gah! SadAngrySad

Rosebag · 21/08/2015 13:00

Not really. The original plan was the DC were going back this coming Tuesday as they had social arrangements etc and DH was going to be home. I was going to have a few days to myself to go to the spa, meet beachy etc but DM isn't coping and she asked me to come back. There's a lot of arrangements to be made and its all come to a head.

Ach cremo that sounds rubbish. Flowers

Also waves to wilbur

Anyway DD and I are sitting on the beach. It's such gorgeous weather. Sun but with a gentle breeze. Making the most of it. And practising mindfulness.

MontserratCaballe · 21/08/2015 13:19

Sorry to hear things are piling up on you, Rose. It is so hard being the main port of call. Hope you can get things sorted swiftly. Much love.

Cremo, that is awful for you. Mum so sorry.

Rudy, your DS must feel rather raw but I hope this will recede for her soon. It is hard enough juggling the various abilities between the years, let alone the stark contrast with twins. Hope she is feeling a bit brighter today.

Pouring here again. Forecast is rain for all next week. Thinking about coming home early.

MontserratCaballe · 21/08/2015 13:21

Rudy, I meant DD not DS of course. And cremo, I'm so sorry. No random mumsSmile

Auriga · 21/08/2015 13:28

Sorry you have to come home early Rose Sad but sure you are making the right decision. You'll probably find you really do need to be there for the SW. My DM says wildly misleading things to professionals, she defaults to maximum denial.

motherinferior · 21/08/2015 13:38

Sadly, I fear you're right, Auriga.

Cremo, that's pants.

Monty, also pants about weather (looks guiltily out of windowGrin).

I am managing to put more words on the page but my protagonist appears to be having a row with her boyfriendGrin.

Rosebag · 21/08/2015 14:10

Hang on in there monty. I think that weather front is travelling east. We have lovely sun here today after torrential rain yesterday afternoon.
Yes you're so right autiga. DM soft soaps everything.
I am a lucky crepey. The flats not going anywhere... I can come back!!
We are having fish finger butties on the beach.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 21/08/2015 14:33

Paranoid Goat here...

Following JefffreyGate I have removed all my pms related to my old username from my account from both my inbox an sent.
Not sure how many others from our thread were on "the List" but I know Stropps name was on there.

Do you think someone who has her details should contact her to tell her something about all this? I know she said she was going to dereg but I had a couple of pms from her just after that (and just before the hacking stuff broke). Does deregging mean all trace of you is gone? If not she might want to get back on here to edit / remove her pms. I don't have her email / phone number to hand...

Another mner was apparently swatted last night. This whole thing really is horrific. Angry

bigTillyMint · 21/08/2015 15:14

I can't remember if she saod she had deregged, but I'll tell her.

Another swat? What a twat.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 21/08/2015 15:15

Ta BTM.

That's gutting to hear, Rudy, but glad she's feeling more positive today.

Little dd2 walked 10 miles today GrinGrin She seems a lot happier and may indeed be relishing her role as a little mascot. The school are massively supportive cross year groups generally and it's a very very small school so she knows all the people on the trip, although not well.

Crossing my fingers.

I'm am attempting two II 2 mini MU in 18 hours spread many counties apart. Bit like Phil Collins at Live Aid but with more hair SmileSmile

GiddyGiddyGoat · 21/08/2015 19:32

Glad to hear dd is feling a bit better Rudy - my heart lurched reading that about her in her lippie Sad - poor thing.

What on earth happened to you Rudy that is like this mn hacking / swatting business?? I can't imagine. Shock

Rosebag · 21/08/2015 20:09

Does that mean you'll be arriving on EP beach in a helicopter with your drum kit beachy Grin ?

rudy that breaks my heart. It really does. Sad Flowers however she's going to be ok in the long run if she brandishes lipstick in the face of adversity. Keep calm and put on some make up. Glad she's a bit more positive today.

Crepeys meeting up tonight ...have a lovely time. Smile I had a loooong text conversation with ConS this afternoon. He'd been copied in on some emails regarding a forthcoming reading of the play in which I had mentioned that there was a family crisis and was worried. He really is a good friend. But they are poor buggers. Not only did they miss their holiday flight and have to pay another £500 to travel the next day, but they had all their cash stolen for their villa on arrival. Shock

Greetings from Lyme Regis! We left warm and sunny London at midday, and five-and-half hours later arrived in a cold and drizzly Dorset. Still. The house is lovely, and we've just had the best ever fish and chips for tea.

There's no wifi here, and limited reception, so radio contact may be sporadic.

herbaceous · 21/08/2015 20:58

Sorry - just caught up. Hugs to all who need it, and gin all round tonight. Have one for me!

bigTillyMint · 21/08/2015 20:59

Oh RudySad So sorry for your DD and youSad xxx

And CremoSad xxx

Lovely MU tonight, particularly as the pub f'd up the bill in our favour! And great tour from MrsS despite phone not workingGrin

Herbs sounds like all the ingredients for a great British holiday!

BeachysFlipFlops · 21/08/2015 21:01

I'm on the train, suitably stuffed and refreshed.... Lovely to see you all as usual.... Could the wordsmiths amongst you get cracking on the next thread title???

Blackduck · 21/08/2015 21:59

Yes thanks ladies and I certainly wasn't going to point out the missing bottle of wine as BTM had to wait an age for her fish...

Rudy :(

And the swatting - what a TWAT - deleting all PMs...

MrsSchadenfreude · 21/08/2015 22:36

Creper Roses (as tis summer - or have we had this already?).

Creme de la Crepe

Crepe em coming.

MrsSchadenfreude · 21/08/2015 22:39

Rudy - that is so sad for your DD. Sad

Lalsy · 22/08/2015 08:36

Ouch Rudy Sad about the lippie. Poor darling. Hope she feels more cheery again today.

Crem, oh no, am so sorry. TUPE is better than a poke in the eye I suppose?

Beachy, way to go your little dd!
