Have NC

I'm having doubts about my dress, mainly because I've been to 3 weddings recently where the bride has spent hundreds on their dress and I've spent less than £120 and only now have I realised you can probably tell.

The dress fits lovely and I'm getting nice shoes but I can't help shake the feeling people will think it looks cheap because it is cheap

If it helps I'm 5'10 and a slim size 12

Here is the link

Feeling stressed this evening worrying about it - wish wed disappeared somewhere and got married on our own so I didn't have 100 odd people looking at me

Doesn't look cheap. Looks nicer than a lot of expensive yet boring strapless numbers

runningandjumping · 27/06/2015 22:35

It's a lovely elegant dress! And brides always look beautiful with a radiant smile on their faces!

Chipsahoythere · 27/06/2015 22:36

Looks lovely. I've had the same dress wobble recently because my dress was £280 (still feels a lot to me!) and my friends have spent 1000+

specialsubject · 27/06/2015 22:36

it's fine. Spending on a bomb on a frilly nightmare is never good anyway.

if you have friends who judge clothes on cost - get new friends.

Dollydewdrop21 · 27/06/2015 22:36

Its a beautiful dress. Very classic and not too ott! And it doesnt look cheap. I am sure you will look beautiful. Who cares what people think anyway, they are there to share a special day with you and should not be judging!

Blazing88 · 27/06/2015 22:37

I think it's elegant.

WiIdfire · 27/06/2015 22:37

That's gorgeous. you dont need to worry.

NomiMalone · 27/06/2015 22:38

It's beautiful. Classy and elegant.

And you're the perfect height to do it justice.

ecuse · 27/06/2015 22:38

I think it's lovely and agree about expensive but boring strapless numbers! Yours is much nicer.

Mehitabel6 · 27/06/2015 22:38

Lovely and simple- elegant.

Allalonenow · 27/06/2015 22:39

Oh it's lovely!
How are you going to wear your hair, and what flowers are you having?

bloodyteenagers · 27/06/2015 22:39

It's your wedding and you wear what looks good on you regardless of price tag.
If people mock because it's cheap that's their issue.
The only issue is how it looks on you. Some people can make a sack look like a million dollars. Others can make a million dollar dress look like a sack.

Rinkydinkypink · 27/06/2015 22:39

I think its really nice

TRexingInAsda · 27/06/2015 22:41

That's a lovely dress, I wouldn't give the price tag a second thought.

calzone · 27/06/2015 22:41

I love it.

You will look beautiful. What colour bridesmaids dresses have you got?

MairzyDoats · 27/06/2015 22:41

I love it. I don't think it looks cheap at all.

ThisIsClemFandango · 27/06/2015 22:42

It's lovely OP and not cheap looking at all!

burnishedsilver · 27/06/2015 22:42

It's stunning and absolutely does not look cheap.

When you buy an expensive wedding dress a portion of the price that you are paying relates not to the dress but to the individual attention and the time spent on fittings.

If I have my time over I'd be looking on the high street.

SavoyCabbage · 27/06/2015 22:42

It's beautiful. Really beautiful.

HemanOrSheRa · 27/06/2015 22:42

It's gorgeous and does not look cheap at all. You sound like you have the height and shape to carry it off perfectly.

ladygracie · 27/06/2015 22:42

I think it's gorgeous & definitely doesn't look cheap. You should be delighted. You didn't spend a fortune but you still have a beautiful dress.

Oh that is beautiful. Honestly, it doesn't look cheap at all.

What sort of bouquet will you have?

Princesspond · 27/06/2015 22:44

It's lovely, really elegant. I think it's normal to have a wobble (I know I did!). Truly I think it's a waste to spend £1000's on a dress. The best weddings I've been to have been the ones with fun, love and atmosphere, all things money can't buy.

Dasie · 27/06/2015 22:44

I really like the simple elegance of it!

It would make me think a bride who chose it was self confident and relaxed.

A classic example of how to shine in your wedding dress, not drown in it Smile
