Happy with natural large breasts?

I'm wondering if it's possible to be large breasted and pain free. I'm seriously considering breast reduction because I can't get properly fitted for a bra by either R&B or Bravissimo. The pain caused by wearing a bra is seriously impacting on my quality of life. Are there any positive similar experiences out. I'm a 36J.

Sorry to hear this, OP. Have you considered physiotherapy? I'm sure you have considered a breast reduction.

I'm 36F but very happy with my breasts and don't suffer from any pain.

How do you mean you can't get properly fitted - have you not been able to get to one, or do they not fit you well?

Where have you been fitted (i.e. where put you in the 36J?)

I'm a 34k and I hate them. They look like pillows. I have had constant upper back pain for about 7 years. It is now so bad, I have been referred for a reduction on the NHS.

I can get bras to fit however. I find Debenhams and Ewan M the most flattering

I was a 36KK. I know it's not what you asked but my reduction to a DD was the best thing I ever did. Literally life-changing. I look back and wonder how I ever put up with it until my mid 30s!

I don't dislike my boobs but find them very frustrating. Dressing large breasts and a looking classy is hard.

I find Bravissimo useless for fitting. I have never had a wearable bra from there after one of their fittings.

My proper, good bra shop closed down and I tried a Bravissimo - never again!

Their whole "method" of fitting bras is bollocks. I haven't had such ill fitting bras since I stopped shopping in M&S.

I bet there is somebody who could do a proper fitting for you.

The game changer for me was the Prima Donna deauville bra, no more back ache and no more imprint of my bra on my skin when I took my bra off. I can also run around after the DCs without having to hold onto my boobs. Amazing, don't be put off by the name and don't buy your first one on-line, get fitted properly.

I went into a scarily expensive looking independent boutique bra shop, the woman in there was amazing, she just knew so much about bras and fitting.

Part of the problem I find at larger cups is that the UK brands tend to be very wide. Often too wide. So the fullness is in the wrong place, the wires are too wide, and the outside edge of the cups digs in to your arm/armpit. Cup shape becomes so important for comfort.

That said Bravissimo fitting is normally decent - certainly more dependable than any other chain. I wish they'd stock some of the polish brands though as I think it would improve their service a lot. Once you're sized out of Cleo (probably the narrowest UK brand) then all of their brands are pretty wide

Bath time : absolutely. Where will I get my next bra from?????? Such a seemingly common article of clothing yet have the capacity to reek havoc.

There's definitely hope Indigo. Can you describe what is hurting/what doesn't fit?

Would losing weight help? Slim women don't generally have huge boobs. Surgery seems drastic, except as a total last resort.

Well goodas above looks pretty slim (and amazing) with big boobs so there goes your theory poster above.

What bras are you wearing and what fits?
Ewa are narrow - so the wires don't go deep into the armpits if that makes sense? They are all similar cut but different styles

Sorry to burst the bubble I'm about 15st 4lbs so definitely not slim! I exercise a vast amount though

Statistically: consultant says pain from nerve damage and additional 4 lbs weight of breast tissue.

certain things like yoga are excellent for posture, and I think help me stave off pain despite my big chestedness. I find if I'm stooping due to housework or otherwise i get serious backpain (or when I was BFing a lot), but the rest of the time am fine. Yoga helps me keep my spine in alignment and hold myself properly and never suffered with pain other than those times.

I take a 30 HH and don't have pain - although I don't go jogging! I find Panache tend to be the best fit on me generally. I do have to suffer a little with a new bra, as it fits like a vice round the ribcage for the first few wears in order to remain supportive enough once it gives a bit. Commonly people are put off by this & go up a band size, but that means once the bra gives a little then all the weight hangs off your shoulders causing pain.

Statistically - can you tell us the names of the Polish brands please as wide cups can be a problem for me?

Oh and I weigh 9 st at 5ft 6, so slim women can have big boobs!

Ewa Michalak and Comexim are the main brands, Kris Line are polish too but sold on Brastop. I prefer Ewa myself (same size as you Teflon), my favourite is the S shape (you'll see variants of this - the 30HH is the shape shown on the girls with the dreads, at some point they add an extra panel and raise the gore as shown on the larger brunette girl in a lot of their pictures)

I have found amplebosom useful for finding bras for my 36J's and in particular like I like some of the Elomi bras. I agree that Prima Donna are lovely and comfortable but a bit pricey.

Much sympathy indigoteeshirt- mine cause me pain more and more as I get older and I would love to reduce, but am too much of a wimp for breast reduction.
