I've got the St Tropez mousse and I really recommend it really nice colour no smell or staining lasts 3 to 5 days

noddyholder · 30/05/2015 11:32

Def think mousse best for no sticky feeling and transfer

everythingsgoingsouth · 30/05/2015 12:41

well, I'm still white, with two brown streaks in right calf.

do you think Boots will refund ? I got the 3 for 2, have used one ..

ilovetosleep · 30/05/2015 13:16

Boots will refund but only the cost of one.

homebythesea · 30/05/2015 14:10

I think what we have to remind ourselves is that this is a gradual tanner, not to be confused with the "instant" tanning products which are always going to give a deeper colour, instantly. As a gradual tan product I think it does well particularly on the smell front

everythingsgoingsouth · 30/05/2015 14:43

thanks, ilovetosleep, that's good news. (I would only expect a refund for one, but return the two unused ones)

ilovetosleep · 30/05/2015 15:07

I'm totally unimpressed, I am totally white except for orange inside my wrists and around my ankles :(

How long does it take for the colour to show up? I bought some on Thursday but only had time to try it today. I had my shower and applied it about an hour ago. No sign of any colour change yet. I am red-haired and blue-y white and hoping that this might be the answer to my holiday prayers! I REALLY hope it works!!

ygritte · 30/05/2015 21:19

I used on dry skin for 5 for mins yesterday....nothing happening. Used in the shower today for another 5 mins.....still nothing.I'm very pale so should notice any change. I'll be going back to cocoa brown too once the weather warms up enough.

DosDuchas · 31/05/2015 08:17

Lol at grouting.

Vivacia · 31/05/2015 10:27

Shower 3 for me this morning.

Family critiques are not encouraging.

AwayAndRunUpMaHumf · 31/05/2015 11:21

I've used it 4 times now, and I think it gives a good colour over time. Even dh noticed, and said I had a 'glow' about me. HOWEVER I've just taken off my nail varnish and discovered it's tinted my nails yellow Sad

Pollywallywinkles · 31/05/2015 11:32

You can get cocoa brown in superdrug.

KiteKit · 31/05/2015 11:34

I tried it yesterday afternoon and by this morning I am a very pale, natural looking 'gold'. This would be pale pale pale by anyone else's standards but given how bluey white I normally am, it is a good start. I do have patchy upper arms though - a big streak on the front of my right upper arm and several small dark patches on the back of my left shoulder / upper arm. That is disappointing as everywhere else turned out very even.

I also got a very red hot itchy patch on the very middle of my neck last night and had to take an antihistimine in bed. I cannot be sure if it was the tan or the new jo malone perfume I used :-(

I shall give it a couple of days to calm down before applying to my neck again and will avoid perfume there too.

Apart from that, I like this tan!

patterkiller · 31/05/2015 11:36

I'm on day four and my skin look like the week after I have come home from holiday. It's a nice subtle glow that doesn't look fake tanish at all.
Bear in mind I'm very pale so my after glow is very slight. I'm sticking with it and so far quite impressed.

noddyholder · 31/05/2015 11:56

Yes and in Primark too
