Imgoing to get some after work. It can't work. But I'm willing to try. (After the disappointment of the clarins thing )

Yep- much easier to time out of the shower- I cleaned my face and brushed teeth (timed electric toothbrush!) then jumped into the shower and rinsed off

ggirl · 29/05/2015 08:46

ah excellent work homebythesea !

DosDuchas · 29/05/2015 09:18

before waiting for the answer Grin I did this too

I am in a court today, If i start looking radioactive its YOUR FAUlt

DosDuchas · 29/05/2015 09:20

but of course i BATHED it off #cleopatra

EVERY time some gets in my gob. I have never had this with other tans

Vivacia · 29/05/2015 09:35

Ok, did it for the first time. Strange experience. After years of sticky, naked zombie-walking you can't believe something so simple will work.

So far it hasn't.

I'm more than happy to try a few mornings in a row though. And I'm very tempted to try the Homebythesea method.

Vivacia · 29/05/2015 09:36

Also, I put it on my face and it doesn't taste nice.

homebythesea · 29/05/2015 09:36

DosDuchas- see previous watertight and unassailable disclaimer. I know what I'm doing in the limiting liability business you know

DosDuchas · 29/05/2015 10:33

Lol at us all tasting it.

Got mine yesterday, I'm going to try a version of homebythesee's method, so the plan is : shower to exfoliate, but then pat myself dry, apply and shower off.

Got to shower first really as my legs are a bit yetti like.

Hope I don't turn oompa lumpa Orange

Vivacia · 29/05/2015 11:31

I would say I'm getting a bit of a whiff of fake tan now.

QforCucumber · 29/05/2015 12:46

WARNING - in the eyes for 3 whole minutes stings like hell!!!

Howaboutthisone · 29/05/2015 12:49

Oo saw this yesterday and nearly picked it up. Think I'll give it a try now!

reallybadidea · 29/05/2015 13:41

Definite whiff of what I assume is fake tan smell. No obvious change to the colour of my skin yet. I think I should have patted myself a bit more dry before applying though as it seemed a bit liquid once I'd rubbed it on. According to something I read on another website, having wet skin allows it to absorb more, so not sure how well it would work on dry skin.

Q, why would you put it in your eye for 3 minutes? Coloured contacts are a better bet if you want brown eyes Grin

QforCucumber · 29/05/2015 13:43

really i'll keep that in mind for next time.

as i was stood in the shower starkers when i got it in my eye I didn't want to turn the shower on to rinse said eyes in case I washed off all of the rest of it - I realise now how silly that sounds.

DosDuchas · 29/05/2015 15:09

I'm still at work. Can't disrobe here to admire

Vivacia · 29/05/2015 15:38

I'm working from home, but it's freezing here and I'm wearing long johns, so I won't be disrobing to admire.

CMP69 · 29/05/2015 15:38

I love you lot (long time lurker) I shall be a slightly browner sheep by Monday Blush

i dont think the dry thing works
( im home)

NapoleonsNose · 29/05/2015 18:09

Been following this thread with interest. I'm another white verging on blue person and am reaaalllly tempted to try this. Its payday today so I might treat myself to the 3for2 in Boots. The only fake tan I've ever been really pleased with was a spray on Fake Bake one when I was about 3 stone lighter than I am now, so I would love something that I can do at home which doesn't look rubbish and I don't have to strip off in front of a stranger forWill buy tomorrow and report back...

ggirl · 29/05/2015 19:16

well i tried the dry version today and, to be frank , I felt quite sinful
it felt like it was going to streak.
I havent checked yet but i have a feeling the backs of my legs won't be nice

WicksEnd · 29/05/2015 19:46

Well I can only see my arms and face atm but my method of shower-> exfoliate->dry off-> apply-> brush teeth->shower definitely seems to have worked. I've got colour and it's not orange and there's a slight smell but nothing too digestivey.

I left it on for four minutes too. Rebel.

Slightly worried about taking my jeans off and finding fake tan tram lines at the seams.

Vivacia · 29/05/2015 19:47

End of day 1, and I think that a colour has developed. Probably not enough for the beach, but I'm hopeful that after a couple more applications it'll be a nice colour.

Not sure if this is too expensive to maintain.

Am tempted to try a usual tanning lotion in this way. If only I had 7 half bottles of fake tan at the back of a cupboard somewhere Blush

WicksEnd · 29/05/2015 19:48

^ I only patted myself dry so skin was damp but not dripping wet.
