muddling I've got a few things from esprit and I find them fine for the price. I've mainly got blouses either poly or cotton which are great and I've got a tee which is a cotton/poly mix which has gone a tiny bit bobbly on the boob on the side that I cuddle or pick up dd. they tend to come up large and sometimes even their xs are a bit in the roomy side. Can't help much with brushes as don't have many but I do like body shop ones.

shop how exciting.

karbea im not sure shopping at this moment in time is very inspiring for anyone. There's still the sales dregs and the new stuff is slowly filtering through although it's hard to get excited by spring stuff when it's -2! It does make shopping easier as others have said, you can disregard half of the stuff and it does make shopping more efficient.

shopafrolic · 23/01/2015 09:40

Muddling let me ask my make up artist friend x

shopafrolic · 23/01/2015 09:44

Has anyone looked at the new IdelaF range for Uniqlo? Can totally see Liberty in this

shopafrolic · 23/01/2015 10:04

Bag ordered from Avenue 32 - fingers crossed!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/01/2015 10:15

Yay shop - did you manage to sort the Barneys order then?

30% off loads of stuff at the outnet, worth a look.

What size Linus?

I haven't tried Real Techniques brushes yet because I tend to buy them one at a time, and I looked at the basic set and wasn't sure I needed them all. I have some from mac and some from EcoTools. The posh RT ones do look really cool - here - but they seem to be more £££ than Mac!

BrandyAlexander · 23/01/2015 11:01

Which bag Shop?

It's blinking cold again. I am wearing a navy wool Hobbs dress with my trusty M&S jacket and LkB boots. I know I have said it a lot but I love love love my cashmere coat! Bling is 6ct aquamarine square ring which is surrounded in diamonds. Christmas present from a few years ago. Plus silver flower watch and blue Elizabeth Cole Swaroski bangle which is flower shape. I am not entirely in blue, I gave my forest green Prada bag. yes I know it still kind of matches

I feel somewhat guilty because I could have worn dh's Christmas present but it's hard to get on by myself. Having gone to town for Christmas I am expecting zip for my birthday well not zip, but there's really nothing I want so Lord knows what he will get.

LinusDKD · 23/01/2015 11:19

Oooh exciting shop! Hope you don't end up with two identical bags!

blair, lib said to size down in the Hoxtons, so maybe a size 25?

I like the descriptions of your bling novice! Keep them coming.

libertychick · 23/01/2015 11:54

Linus and Shop - I have your packages wrapped and going to PO this afternoon.

That is a lovely dress Shop. I will have to try it. It's funny because it totally fits with the romantic classic style and it's the type of thing I am always drawn to but then worry that it will look a bit twee. I will pin it and try when it comes into stock.

Today I am wearing tan French Connection chinos that Shop gave me ages ago with this uniqlo sweater which looks blue but is actually royal purple and Shop's Elizabeth Cole necklace. . DH literally did a double take and said 'it's like having a whole new wife!!' and then said I looked really young and funky and he couldn't believe the difference the colours are making Grin. Seriously I think I've had more compliments from him in the last week than I have had it the last year. I'm a happy bunny.

I am wearing slippers though ATM and not sure what to put on my feet when I go out. I'll have to channel Dry and be hard and go bare ankle with these. I would love Isabel Marant Bobby trainers but really can't do that price so looking for a cheaper 'homage' version.

libertychick · 23/01/2015 12:03

Karbea what shoes size are you? These are fab autumn boots. Gone in my size.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 23/01/2015 12:37

I'm doing the same Lib looking for a more reasonable version of the Bobby.
Im hoping that DH keeps to the plan for us both to do more going out in places like london as there are very few places to dress up around us.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 23/01/2015 12:43

Thanks for the replies to my earlier questions!

Just emailed the HoC lady again as i havent had a response yet hoping she gets back to me soon

justasecond · 23/01/2015 13:33

Looks like I missed all the bag excitement last night. Love love the pashli Shop esp in that gorgeous grey.
Lib I love your outfit, that necklace and jumper must look amazing together. well done to mrLib for noticing too Grin
Muddling and Lib try looking at Sandro for similar low hidden wedge trainers to the Bobby. I saw some in the outlet shop at Bicester a few weeks ago a bit like this www.vestiairecollective.com/women-shoes/trainers/sandro/black-leather-amandine-sneakers-723281.shtml

Stokey · 23/01/2015 14:08

Did you look in Uniqlo Karbea? I find them great for basics in different colours. You could pick up a couple of long sleeved tees or jumpers.

We're going out with some very bling friends over from Dubai tonight in South Ken. It's very out of my comfort zone as am normally an east London girl. I'm a bit intimidated about what to wear as west is definitely more glam than east. It's freezing but am thinking glittery skater skirt with black cashmere cropped cardie, over long sleeved t, and either Pettys or knee high boots.

LinusDKD · 23/01/2015 14:32

Quickly popping in to ask a question: what online store sells classic overcoats (the kind you wear over a suit) for men and deliver internationally?

I have already tried Mr.Porter, Matches and Stylebop with limited success.

santamarianovella · 23/01/2015 14:37

That's great shop, but hope you don't end up with two bags!

lib that's a fab compliment!
And they had a few bobby's left in selfridges sale, wish you grabbed them as they are honestly the best , suitable all year round, and they are super comfy!
And that uniqlo dress really is you! Give it a try,

muddling I suggest you, have a look online at stores you want to visit in london instead of just showing up there unprepared, take screen shots of everything you like and try to stick to it, going actual shopping can really be so overwhelming, and you will end up wasting hours and rushing through it all, anything you feel hesitant about, or , or see if it goes with what you have in your wardrobe, then try it, take pics, and order it later, I wish I can join you Grin.

Its freeeezing here, it's days like these I'm greatfull for my down coat, wearing brunello cucinelli navy sweater and grey jeans, marant bobby trainers with skiing thermal socks! And my elder statsman beanie, so in love with this beanie, never buying anything but these from now on,

stokey, I don't think w London is that glam! Specially south ken, its more relaxed glam, and what you are considering to wear is absolutely fine, enjoy your night!

santamarianovella · 23/01/2015 14:45

Do you mean somthing like this? linus or single breasted like this one?
Dh has a couple from frank namani, think there is one close to you,

Otherwise, burberry, zegna?

LinusDKD · 23/01/2015 14:59

Like this but then at a discount Wink

Will check out Frank Namani, seems to ring a bell.

The Uniqlo dress was suddenly available to order this afternoon so I have ordered! Thanks for the prompting Shop and Santa Smile

AmberNectarine · 23/01/2015 17:01

I'm wearing my Marant Becketts today. They are really comfy, but a bit more 'out there' than the Bobbys, for sure. Also wearing a lovely bright pink woven silk scarf from IM - clearly she is Voguette designer of the day!

Karbea · 23/01/2015 17:07

What do you think of these boots?

Karbea · 23/01/2015 17:10

Or these in blue! I was always told as a petite it was best to keep to one colour as it elongates, so thinking maybe these will be good now that blue jeans will be a staple?

Karbea · 23/01/2015 17:13

Or these, is the heel weird?

Karbea · 23/01/2015 17:14

Or these?

Karbea · 23/01/2015 17:16

Or these from Acne.
