I really want to buy something in chinese blue - it seems hard to come by though. Am thinking a top, may have to resort to kettlewell!

Hello winters. Haven't been around much this week so have just been having a quick catch up. I'll have to have a think about the best item I've bought this year as I've bought so many .

Colour combination wise I love ice blue and fuschia and also Chinese blue and purple.

Dh has bought me a couple of anniversary/Christmas presents. Will link in a moment otherwise I risk losing my post...

glitter shoes. I absolutely love these although haven't worn them yet. I own on wearing them with black cigarette pants for nights out.

bag. I've adored this for years as it's the nearest I'll get to a Chanel 2.55 but I was always put off by the price. However dh obviously agreed that 10 years of marriage deserved it

Talking of lipstick, I went to a Christmas ball last night and tried out my new Lime Crime lipstick in Red Velvet. It's a perfect, totally matt, red and great for evenings. I have the Wicked shade too but I think it's a bit dark for me. Any takers?

I'd love that Sorrel. It looks a very sultry shade to me. I'm thinking I should compile a Pinterest board of winter lipsticks, and pin them whenever someone links to a new one, as I can never remember otherwise. My job for tomorrow I think.

Not much to report here...bought a black biker jacket via eBay which should've been leather but is faux leather. Bit annoyed but also don't know if it suits me...feel a bit silly in it? Like I'm acting. Any style types who suit them?
How much would your ebay velvet jacket be sorrel or was it stokey or none of the above? Love texture of velvet though may feel too dressy in it!
didi I've got russian red (mac)...it's pretty red (though all reds seem to 'turn' pink on me?!)

Fooogle I picked up Russian red in a long lasting lip gloss week in my last airport exercusion - I know I'm a coward but I think it's too primary red for me. But blotted off a bit it's OK..

I paid £5 for the jacket fooogle so anything around that would be great. No worries if not, I'll just put it back on ebay again.

I agree a lipstick pinboard would be good. I have stopped wearing lipstick for the moment, I think I am going to start wearing it again as a new year resolution!

I think my next lipstick purchase will be 'girl about town' (? have I got that right?) by Mac.

Fooogle I would send the jacket back and get a refund (plus refunded P&p) if it was sold as leather and isn't - that is really bad of the ebayer

The blue looks like more like cobalt. Chinese blue is more like an intense turquoise - cyan might be a better description.

Oooh I'd love to follow a Pinterest lipstick board. Please could someone point me in the right direction?

Agree not much Chinese blue in stores ATM (it's one of my star colours) it's all about the cobalt where I look.

Thanks Sorrel. I'm gonna resist and try and actually try some things on in shops over the Christmas break, spend my life returning stuff it seems as cant get to the 'real' shops with little people and don't work near any so cant dash in my lunch break!
I'd like more Chinese blue too...have a silk scarf though feel a bit eighties in it for some reason, and a shirt from glamourous saino, oh and a cotton jumper from there too actually... I am being a bit tame on my dressing at the mo. Not oozing with confidence to put the big gun colours on right now.

Tried Rimmel 01 Kate Moss colour the other day. Think it is a good red though its pretty 'there'! Today I am wearing Red Velvet with a colbalt long sleeve t, black skinny trousers, socks (not best look!), blue sued pointy shoes and long line grey wool cardi... silver belt. Not sure its great but the right colours.

How about you guys?

Black boots, black tights, black wool dress (can you tell I'm giving a talk), bright blue pendant (possibly too big), bright blue watch and new lipgloss (Mac seeking adulation which probably breaks the rules but redder blue than I would normally do). Was going to wear an electric blue scarf to offset the black but the lecture hall is hot and I've put my hair up in a bun to stop me fiddling with it.

My mission for 2015 is to move into shoes rather than living in boots. I've never done proper girl's shoes but if I can do lipstick then surely there's hope for me yet.

Black skinnies, GAP damson jumper & cobalt snood here. No make up on yet but wearing glossy black nail polish.

I'm in a long grey fine knit cardigan, black straight jeans and red scoop neck top. I hope to have some warm red slipper socks on in a minute as my feet are freezing!

Not much excitement from me today- just a navy jacquard top and jeans. I do have on my new cassis passion on my lips though thanks to neither. I really like it- a bit less bright than my fuchsias -although it has slightly too much taste/perfume in it for my liking.
