Tigerbear's FREE clothes and cosmetics thread

tigerbear · 12/09/2014 02:24

I've done this once before with cosmetics only, but interested to see if it'll work for clothes too.

I've just had a massive clear out of clothes, cosmetics, beauty stuff etc and am wondering if any of you lovely MNers would like some stuff for free?

There's too much to list individually, but for instance, there's a Monsoon black tuxedo jacket, Lipsticks that have never been used, a pair of cream wedge sandals, etc

What I suggest is that if you're after something specific, is to post outlining it eg 'I have a job interview next week and would love a new smart jacket' or 'I'd like to experiment and try a new lipstick colour', or whatever, and if I have something similar I'll post. One item per person please. Once we've agreed on who will get what, lets PM and I'll post the item to you.

:-)

What do you fancy, Tiger? Maybe one of us could send you a treat?

Tigerbear · 12/09/2014 23:39

Melanie - seriously, it's such a beautiful dress, really good quality. I'm really happy that it'll be worn on such a special occasion! :-)

Oooh, BOF - a nice single man if any of you have some nice single friends, relatives, colleagues - that'd be nice :-) Grin

Failing that, if any of you have any bottles of cold press coconut oil, that'd be nice too Grin

Sorry about the overuse of 'nice' in my last post!!

Off to bed now folks - if I haven't posted with something for you, I haven't forgotten you? It's just that I'm still trying to figure out what would work best. My flat now looks like it's been burgled, with clothes all over the floor in every room Grin

Well I think this is a lovely idea! Anything vintage-ish for mid 40s but strive to look stylish every day, 12-14, 5'3

Maybe we could all offer things, seem to recall similar threads or was that xmas presents?

AuntyDiluvian · 12/09/2014 23:48

This is lovely tb and I'm glad you seem to be enjoying yourself!

CeeceeBloomingdale · 13/09/2014 00:03

Ooh thank you, great colours for me. Will pm

thedrummerswife · 13/09/2014 00:05

I have some costume jewellery that I bought, but then decided wasn't me. will try and get some photos if anyone is interested.

I'm in north Yorkshire and wish someone could sort my wardrobe out Wink I'm in my early fifties and size 14 and haven't a clue what to wear now - I go for comfort before style these days. I particularly struggle to find tops, because I only like low scoop necks to suit my huge boobs and rarely find colours I like - I'm autumn colouring, I think, I have quite dark brown hair with reddish tones, dark brown eyes. If anyone thinks they can save me from being my usual mess, that would be great.

When I get round to sorting through my wardrobe I think I'll have size 12 clothes that are too small. However, I'm off work ill at the moment with anxiety and depression, so struggling to find the energy to get on with the job Sad I'll post when I've had a look through the clothes.

Lynca · 13/09/2014 00:05

Hi Tigerbear, what a lovely idea! Since giving birth to twin daughters 5 months ago I've lost around 2.5 stone off my pre pregnancy weight, but unfortunately money's been a bit tight so I'm still running around in clothes that are too big for me! I really need a long warm/waterproof coat with a hood for winter when I'm out and about with the buggy in a size 12 if you have anything suitable? I quite like parka style coats but I'd appreciate anything that fits really!

thedrummerswife · 13/09/2014 00:11

Forgot to say, Tiger, this is a wonderful thread and you are an incredibly generous person Smile

PickleMobile · 13/09/2014 04:51

Tiger yes please, that top would be fab! Will pm you. Thanks very much.

lordnoobson · 13/09/2014 04:58

This is a bloody weird thread.
Shades if lady muck donating to the needy IMO

lordnoobson · 13/09/2014 05:02

Abd how does one person have clothes from size 10-18.
Or are you nicking them?

DaftSkunk · 13/09/2014 05:39

Bit harsh noobson. I read it as someone doing something nice.....

lordnoobson · 13/09/2014 05:45

Very publicly ..

KillashandraRee · 13/09/2014 06:18

Lordnoobsen yet again you write pointless bitchy posts... Tigerbear is doing something lovely and is inspiring others to do the same.

KristinaM · 13/09/2014 06:19

Oh do jog on, lord noobs on

What's your problem ?

One person gets to clear out their wardrobe and have a bit of fun

Other people get free clothes

Royal Mail gets some business

What's not to like ?

lordnoobson · 13/09/2014 06:20

My post isn't pointless. It's querying the motive. Afaicr that's not against chat rules

lordnoobson · 13/09/2014 06:21

Lol at "Royal Mail gets some business" phew for that

lordnoobson · 13/09/2014 06:24

OP. why not discretely take them to your local refuge. And donate the funding of Royal Mail to them too?

KristinaM · 13/09/2014 06:24

No one said your post was against chat rules

They said it was pointless and bitchy

Now DFOD and derail another thread

lordnoobson · 13/09/2014 06:27

Well that then of course Is A personal attack. Sigh.

KristinaM · 13/09/2014 06:40

Because they are HER clothes and she can do what she likes with them

Give them to a refuge
Give them to strangers on the internet
Give them to her sister
Give them to a charity shop

She's not throwing them in the bin , which goes into landfill. So what's your problem ? Why do you care so much ?

Bobble33 · 13/09/2014 06:46

Romcom I would love to try the Sleek rose gold blusher.

buttercrumble · 13/09/2014 07:30

Thanks tigerbear it's amazing I sent you a pm Smile
