Tigerbear's FREE clothes and cosmetics thread

I've done this once before with cosmetics only, but interested to see if it'll work for clothes too.

I've just had a massive clear out of clothes, cosmetics, beauty stuff etc and am wondering if any of you lovely MNers would like some stuff for free?

There's too much to list individually, but for instance, there's a Monsoon black tuxedo jacket, Lipsticks that have never been used, a pair of cream wedge sandals, etc

What I suggest is that if you're after something specific, is to post outlining it eg 'I have a job interview next week and would love a new smart jacket' or 'I'd like to experiment and try a new lipstick colour', or whatever, and if I have something similar I'll post. One item per person please. Once we've agreed on who will get what, lets PM and I'll post the item to you.

:-)

MTW - spot on with sizes :-)
What kind of dress or shoes would you like?

I'm desperate for any size 18 tops and dresses please. Since having dd last year I've been rotating the same 6 outfits!

KillashandraRee · 12/09/2014 08:42

I'm a size 6 so shoes out. 12-14 in clothes so if you have blazer/ jacket that would be amazing. I'm desperate for clothes after 3 yrs of being pregnant or breastfeeding Smile
Lovely idea for a thread.
I'm going to look if there's anything I have someone might want...

TheRealMaudOHara · 12/09/2014 09:21

I'm a size 10. Greenwich is lovely, we did a few months in Woolwich years ago when I first moved in with DH and he'd made a catastrophic error of judgement on where to rent...used to get the bus to Greenwich every day for a bit of civilisation!

lurkingfromhome · 12/09/2014 09:38

I'm a 12-14. Giant size 7 feet sadly ...

JoolsSchmools · 12/09/2014 10:13

I'm a 16-18 and in need of work clothes, dresses tops etc.
With DH out of work I've been relying on charity shops but the ones near me doesn't stock much!

MTWTFSS · 12/09/2014 11:48

Tigerbear - Dresses: Daywear would be nice and make a change from all my trousers. Shoes: Anything with a low heel please :)

Tigerbear · 12/09/2014 11:52

Sorry to disappear - DD just arrived back from holiday with her Dad. I'll post tonight once she's asleep!

I am a size 12 op x

IlonaRN · 12/09/2014 12:33

Hello Tigerbear,
I would love a cardigan in a cool colour (I'm a Summer) - I'm having real problems finding one that's the right colour and size. I'm a size 8 most places.
Alternatively, if you know where to find a wool (or certainly not acrylic) cardigan that is fairly fitted and has a crew neck, I'd love to know! :)

CeeceeBloomingdale · 12/09/2014 12:40

What a lovely idea, how sweet. I'm a 12-14, usually 14 as busty and am looking for a smart top or blouse for work that isn't fitted or is boxy. Or a scarf, I love scarves so could use a new one to jazz up an old top of my own

caz1010 · 12/09/2014 13:58

I'm a size 8.
I'm looking for something schmazual (smart yet casual) for lunch out next month for my birthday.
I have tons of casual clothes but every thing else is too dressy for an after noon lunch thingy. Please help me get it right even with just advice.
I'm 35 with highlighted blonde hair.

MelanieCheeks · 12/09/2014 15:15

I'm a petite 5'2 size 10. (Shoe size 6, sadly)

I need something to wear for my daughter's debut at Sadlers Wells next month. I look best in Autumny colours.

(And you are such a star for doing something like this!)

Bobble33 · 12/09/2014 16:03

Hello Tigerbear

I would love to try some different cosmetics/beauty stuff. I recently had a massive sort out at home and gave the bulk of it to a local charity shop.

livinginhope87 · 12/09/2014 17:21

Hello tigerbear, how lovely are you! I am a 16-18 and I trying to get myself together. I would love a blazer or any dresses you may have. Also I have just branched out into jewellery so would love any daytime pieces. Thank you very much.

Needasilverlining · 12/09/2014 17:24

I am desperate to try out the leather trousers/pointy shoe/shirt look a la Emmanuelle Alt, but I don't know if I'm brave enough to actually WEAR it so scared of investing in spendy trews.

Long shot, but have you any such trousers?

And you are lovely BTW, and you're making me think I should do this. I will have a sort at the weekend.

bigbadbarry · 12/09/2014 17:29

This is so very kind. I am going to a freelance networking event in a couple of weeks after 10 years of SAHMing. I don't want to go full-on work-wear but a pair of smart trousers would be so useful. Also, all my makeup is 1-0 years out of date :( I'm a size 14.

MadameJosephine · 12/09/2014 17:30

What a lovely thing to do!

I am currently trying to lose weight, I've lost 21 pounds which is about halfway to where I wanted to be and I've gone from a size 18 to a 16 so far. I have been thinking of buying a 'goal' dress to aim for so would be really grateful if you had something lovely that would flatter a big bum pear shape in a size 14?

Kracken · 12/09/2014 19:51

Tigerbear, what a fab kind person you are! I am recently single and also recently a size 12 (was a size 14-16 but have undergone an effective misery break up diet!!) and would love a 'first date' dress or top in a size 12 which is a bit impressive/cool but not too tarty or obvious?! I am also a size 4 shoe and would love a pair of heels suitable to wear with jeans. I am 34 with big ish boobs.

I am generally crap at dressing and especially accessorising and have no idea where to shop and what to pick when in shops. Shops actually stress me out quite a lot! Am in West London so if you do want to practice your personal shopping skills I'd be a very willing volunteer! A friend has offered to help but I am a bit embarrassed to take her up on it. Thanks Thanks

hettie · 12/09/2014 20:24

I can offer cosmetics/beauty if anyone is, interested...lots of concealers/highlighters, lippies and other bits and pieces

FourAndDone · 12/09/2014 20:27

I have my wedding 3 weeks today and would love a pretty dusky pink lipstick/liner? Can't find anything in the shops only tried boots Smile

FourAndDone · 12/09/2014 20:28

Posted too soon!
Lovely idea and will pass on when I can Smile

TortoiseshellSpecs · 12/09/2014 20:29

Excuse me for being a cynical old cow, but is this not just a way to market your image consultancy business?

FourAndDone · 12/09/2014 20:31

DFO tortoise.

TortoiseshellSpecs · 12/09/2014 20:33
