Are we wearing long boots this winter or is it ankle boots all the way?

A few years back no one would have been seen dead in ankle boots with skirts or dresses. Now it seems that ankle boots are de rigeur, whatever anyone is wearing.
Do knee length boots have a place at all, and are they 'out' over skinnies?

Really really want some knee or calf length leather boots that have a sole similar to Doc Martens or Clarks Originals. Neither brand do wide calves in their ranges. Or something bikerish.

I have super wide calves and just cant find anything. Duo boots are too smart and the usual plus size places seem to only have synthetic or riding styles.

I look every year. I'm usually disappointed.

Anyone seen anything?

I always find that Clarks come up v big on the ankles/calves.

Laredoute do different calf fittings in some styles I have a pair from a few years ago which I love and not too £

I never thought of trying La Redoute. Will look now. Thanks!

Struggle with the styles in Clarks Remus. I always think because my calves are chunky I need chunky boots but I'll look again if they are big.

These Fly boots have been on since they arrived this morning and are very comfy!
Fit my calves as I also struggle with Clarks fitting.
Aware Fly is a bit marmite on S&B but these are my first pair and I'm really pleased as was trying to avoid going down the ££ Duo route!
