Are we wearing long boots this winter or is it ankle boots all the way?

A few years back no one would have been seen dead in ankle boots with skirts or dresses. Now it seems that ankle boots are de rigeur, whatever anyone is wearing.
Do knee length boots have a place at all, and are they 'out' over skinnies?

I find brown easier to wear. I do like black with pale denim though, like in the 1980s! :)

I want these from Duo, I can only wear boots from here because they cater for different calf sizes. I found a beautiful pair last winter from Clarks but sadly couldnt buy them because they looked like welly boots on me.

Remus - I think my love of black boots with denim is firmly rooted in the 80's! I look at brown boots and think maybe I should get a pair but then my eyes are drawn to the black and they win, every time!

I want some nice low black ankle boots plus a pair of super fuck-me stilleto black suede booties too.

I do like the tea dress and ankle boot look but mainly cos it makes me feel young and I think I have only about 3 years left before I will look deranged in the topshop-young-gel line and will have to get a bit more together.

I bought my first ever pair of proper lethaer up to the knee boots in the sales in Feb but I fear I have got a bit fat since then and the weight has a remarkable tendency to go onto my calves so am unsure whether they will do up properly

Had another look at teh marks ones are really nice They have black too.Can't justify as I have identical pair just not shiny!

i had a look and tried them on. I am a 39 and so in Marks weird sizing atm a 5.5
The red are nicer somehow but are subtle

BUT the leather IS hard, the toe is pronouncedly pointy and they made me ankles look like twigs. Also the top of the foot was a bit baggy

Ah pity about the tough leather, you old boot.
However my ankles are not twig-like, and i think i would like twig-like ankles for a change . I will seek them out and try on.

Those Shuh ones are a bargain. I prefer the first one but i can only wear leather as man-made rips my feet apart. Shame

I can wear man made for a few hours and I probably would only wear for short periods as I wear my Frye boots every year when its really cold!
