Yes that's them. I couldn't find them.

Would you please post a link to the coat page you've done?

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 20/08/2014 22:34

numpty - does this work? pinterest.com/pin/414401603186348025/. That should take you to one of my Pins. Am on ipad and linking can be tricky.

Brillenbar - that's sounding good re the Uniqlo shirts!

margaritas - it's the post I did today, so if you go to www.theworkwearedit.com it's the first thing you see. It took a while, as I was about half way through and realised I'd lost my common sense and was including £600 coats. So, now, it's £300 or under, w mentions only of the more pricey ones.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 20/08/2014 22:35

brillenbar - is it this one? www.uniqlo.com/uk/store/goods/128356

Brillenbar · 20/08/2014 22:53

Belinda it is. I've bought it in navy, black and the bright blue. Have been wanting a navy shirt for a while so that one is def a keeper.

I had a disappointing trip to zara in Spain, but luckily massimo dutti was just next door and it was all lovely and autumnal in there, everything was navy, tan, teal, burnt orange. And all coordinated and yummy. I bought a teal blazer and teal wool patterned lightweight scarf. This is the scarf www.massimodutti.com/gb/en/women/accessories/scarves/spiral-print-wool-foulard-c891002p4526551.html?colorId=445 can't see the jacket on the website.

If anyone is interested in cashmere .... Brora seem to be having a massive clearance sale. It's never cheap in Brora, but the quality is utterly fab, so is worth a look.

NumptyNu · 21/08/2014 22:42

Yes! Thanks so much. Off to peruse!

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 31/08/2014 22:22

Back to work yet, folks?

MustTryDating · 31/08/2014 23:17

I am. And I need dresses for cooler weather at the ready.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 01/09/2014 15:38

It's cool here in London already. I'm in the midst of having overseas visitors, but will look for winter dresses, soon. Need to go to Uniqlo, too. School holidays + o/s visitors = not blogging.

maybemyrtle · 01/09/2014 16:49

Yes, it's all picking up again here too. Trying today to plan meetings in town next week so I can peruse the new season's offerings afterwards. Itching to get out and about actually, prolonged periods of home working are great for not worrying about the wardrobe but drive me a bit batty.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/09/2014 17:10

First day back today. Wore the charity shop Baukjen dress I bought in the hols and got lots of nice comments on it.

Bought these last week, which I'm hoping will fill the flat black shoe space in my wardrobe.

Am now on a spending ban, other than if I see a lovely scarf/shawl to wear with/over my new biker when it gets colder.

lurkingaround · 01/09/2014 18:41

Yes, all back to the real world today. I'm also self imposing shopping restraint ban but I just can't help myself looking. Love the flats Remus. Which reminds me, I really like these and these, that come in a few colours.

No Autumn clothes news to report, had a look in Zara last week, viscose-heavy this season it seems, crease city. I am due a visit to real shops soon.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/09/2014 19:10

Love those first ones, Lurking.

Sits on fingers - I must not be tempted / I must not be tempted etc etc.

BillStickersIsInnocent · 01/09/2014 19:17

I'm actually off now for a couple of weeks but definitely thinking about autumn/winter. Bought these today www.clarks.co.uk/p/26105221 and I love them. Not too sure about the kitten heel as suspect a bit naff but the height is great for me and the leather is beautiful quality.

Tried on some winter clothes and I must lose some weight, everything feels a little tight.

JanineStHubbins · 01/09/2014 19:19

Yes!! I was hoping this thread would be resurrected. Need to buy some new A/W work clothes, esp shoes. Work in higher ed, so less formal than most workplaces, but also don't want to look like a student (am small, slight and youngish).

Looking forward to some lovely links, I lurked all summer, loving the threads, and had to resist very hard as I was waiting for A/W.

lurkingaround · 01/09/2014 19:38

I've been looking at them a little while, aren't they lovely. Pointier than im used to but lovely. I have no real need thoSad.

Brillenbar · 01/09/2014 21:26

I seem to have ordered a disgraceful amount of stuff and returned all bar one or two things. Kept one pencil skirt from Boden splurge ( dresses were all of them not right), and have also returned stuff to BR, marks, john lewis etc etc.

am really struggling with sizing. I bought a size 4 skirt from whistles ffs what is that about, but most things have gone back just because they are too large. Am thinking it is not worth getting anything new I should look for size 10 stuff from the 70s and just get the lapels taken in....

The uniqlo silk shirts Belinda linked to up thread are working well, my new fave thing. I also ordered the other stories black leather bag, again that Belinda linked to ... Has dispatched and will report back

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/09/2014 17:12

I mentioned a cotton/silk mix shirt from Oasis a while back, but haven't been able to find it irl. Has anybody seen it? I can, however, confirm that this print is absolutely beautiful irl, though I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to wear it in the trouser version.

Stokey · 03/09/2014 09:46

Has anyone found the perfect black court shoe? I covet the LKB floret but can't afford them.

Did you ever buy the Office Darling Dorsay ones Belinda? I need something interview suitable, not too pricey (under £100) and not too tottery.

Or could I wear pointy flats to an interview? It's smart so will be wearing black suit with pencil skirt. I think I need heels.

Brillenbar · 03/09/2014 09:55

Stokey I have the Office Darling Dorsay (wearing atm) - they are really pretty comfortable and not too tottery. They aren't the quality of the LKB ones (but then, they are not the price)

Stokey · 03/09/2014 10:01

Excellent, Thanks Brillenbar just what I needed to hear.

Would you recommend them over your Clarks ones? I realise they are a bit different height wise.

Bearleigh · 03/09/2014 13:53

Stokey have a look in Jones - last Saturday I bought a lovely pair of classic black patent court shoes , with a medium height slim heel from their own Black Label range - £49.00 in the sale, down from £79.00. They are really pretty and were a good buy even at £79, they are such good quality. They aren't online but they may have your size in the branch.

BillStickersIsInnocent · 03/09/2014 14:37

I'm very tempted by those trousers Remus - I will try them on!

Stokey · 03/09/2014 15:39

Thanks Bearleigh, there's one next to work actually

Just realised it was Bill not Brillenbar who had bought the Clarks ones, sorry.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 04/09/2014 17:38

Do report back, Bill. Am on a spending ban at the moment, but if they are really lovely, I may relent.

Update re the Clarks flats btw - they are comfortable and look really nice on. Am v pleased with them.

Stokey · 09/09/2014 10:52

Gosh this thread has slipped down.

Belinda really liked the Gap post and have ordered the silk cotton shirts to try.

It looks like the Office darling Dorsays may have gone, they're out of stock on the web anyway but will try in store today. Has anyone tried the Kinsley pump from Banana Republic?
