Wah-didn't know!

Sleepwhenidie · 25/06/2014 18:23

one - sorry, I haven't been keeping up with the thread properly, how are you ?

shopafrolic · 25/06/2014 18:25

Gah Sleep I assumed you would have had the email. Sorry - should have sent you a text!

Sleepwhenidie · 25/06/2014 18:27

Pah, nothing I like in my size, never mind I may have forgotten to mention the couple of bits I got in the pre-sale. If anyone is interested though, I have had this top for a couple of years and it is so versatile-needs a best under but v easy and flattering, works for a night out or daytime, kind of fills a gap in between a t shirt and glam top.

santamarianovella · 25/06/2014 18:44

Grin at sleep I thought you will link some lovely z&v purchases when I saw your post in here this morning, hope you get something,

I'm completely gutted,A.P.C site is shiiiiiit they emailed me saying that the skirt I ordered issold out in my size,it was part of an outfit! I canceled all my order, feel like I want to curl into a ball and cry Sad

MarshaBrady · 25/06/2014 19:09

Blimey, where does she keep her organs? Mine is 24.5ins and I thought that was small glosses over hip and thigh measurements, ahem

My lobster ring came from NAP. Love love love. Not for everyone, I'll admit, but fab for me.

Fedupnagging · 25/06/2014 20:03

Novice Grin

Thanks for the shoe link Stokey. I think I am going to wait and see if I can get the Sam Edelmans in the US - as Blair said they will be cheaper. If not, will order when I get back.

There were some sad tales on that thread Sleep. I understand where your advice is coming from. People need advice, understanding and moral support to help overcome their issues.

Ok, I broke my no spend til Vegas rule today on these and a basic navy vest also TS. The trousers are cropped on the model but are too long on me and will need taking up. shortarse they are perfect for hols.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/06/2014 20:14

For some reason I always remember that in the Little House on the Prairie books, the dad could fit his hands around the mum's waist when they got married Grin

Oh no santa, that's rubbish. One of your favourite designers too. :(

Had a day off today and went into town with my Dsis. I got this waist belt from Mango, Zara wedges, chambray shirt from Gap and this J Crew hat for driving which I pinned months ago but had deleted as it was sold out. So a success!

Some things were reduced in J Crew (hat included) but they weren't all together, you had to search, and there was also lots of things with a red sticker on but no price reduction - sale starting soon maybe?

We spent the longest time in & Other stories, everything in there is really nice. I'm still hoping to get a few bits online though so didn't want to spend any more.

Sleep trapeze skills sounds amazing, how come you did it?

Deverethemuzzler · 25/06/2014 20:17

Hmmmm.
I just had a look at that site and its way out of my range BUT I had a squint at the Diane Von Furstenburg stuff.

I have a mint condition 100% silk loose summer dress in my wardrobe. I bought it for 1.99 in Oxfam.

Do you think I should put it on Ebay and how much for?

Its not a wrap dress so I couldn't find a similar one last time I looked.

Drywhiteplease · 25/06/2014 20:33

Trapeze skills Sleep fantastic! Would love to try that. And I've been skimming that thread, hate judgey people, rather rude.....Hmm. I'm not sure where I stand on all of that and wouldn't dare say in public all I know is that you've helped a lot of people and are really very kind top hat, fake tan for me
Novice I love your family....v funny.
Betty I really love "doing a DRY" matching, changing into heels to go to Sainsburys, statement necklaces....
Santa don't cry, but that is very annoying.
Who referred to A Murray as "Murray mint"... I'm v worried I know only 2 people who say this Hmm do I know you

And back to scent....when DS and dd were babies I smothered them in that French baby cologne. Smelt lovely.

bettykt · 25/06/2014 20:50

It was me Dry we don't know each other, I'm sure! The reason I said that it's because I remember the ad from a gazillion years ago. My dh says Murray Mint and he's the same age as me. I think I may have got it from him.

LinusDKD · 25/06/2014 20:59

If you don't wear the dress devere and it's just gathering dust in your wardrobe, why not sell it and buy something you want/need with the money?

I guess the price depends on how desirable the dress is (depending on design, print, size, fabric etc).

DS still had a fever today so he stayed home and I wore my usual SAHM uniform of Jimmies, J Crew tee and Havs. Boring! Grin

santa I am still annoyed about my TS shorts being cancelled!

Drywhiteplease · 25/06/2014 21:08

Betty Grin
Watching "The Hotel inspector" nothing else on, footie in other room . I like Alex what's-her-name, talks a lot of sense but boy she wears some terrible clothes amazing rings though

Sleepwhenidie · 25/06/2014 21:33

Blair I pass the site quite often every summer and always said I should try it, finally bit the bullet! Dry you would love it....shall we change the MU arrangements Grin?

shopafrolic · 25/06/2014 21:38

NO. Grin

OneLittleLady · 25/06/2014 21:40

sleep I'm sorry I didn't see your post until just a few minutes ago. I'm so sorry that people have taken such offence at what you do and offer to people. I could perhaps understand such offense being taken if you were actively looking for business on the boards but all I've ever seen from you is kindness, compassion and genuine offers to helps people at no charge

Sleepwhenidie · 25/06/2014 21:44

Don't worry One, the sad thing is the more the thread runs, the more it's obvious that there's a gap between what 'recovery' people can manage alone and being in such a state that they get medically referred. It's probably best left now, rather than making it about me again Sad. Luckily the NHS commissioning people I'm talking to don't take the same view as toys. How are you doing?

Sleepwhenidie · 25/06/2014 21:45

Shop...sure sure sure? Grin admittedly it won't be a good combo with prosecco!

shopafrolic · 25/06/2014 21:55

My years if flying without wings ended in Pacha circa 2001 Sleep Grin

Fedupnagging · 25/06/2014 22:16

Linked these earlier. Decided to keep them so took label off and wore them. Dh said they look like clown trousers Hmm

Trapeze-ing at the MU. Sounds a bit dangerous to me, one might spill ones drink Grin

Devere, a DVF dress for £1.99, bargain. If you don't like it or wear it then yes you should sell it. You will definitely make a profit.

Love those wedges Blair.

OneLittleLady · 25/06/2014 22:20

I'm ok thanks sleep overdone it a bit the last few days so once I'm done at the doctors tomorrow, I'm having at least two days of solid, uninterrupted rest! It's getting scarily close to September and my start date for uni so I've got a few jitters and internal cries of 'am I good enough??!!' but I'm sure they will pass, I'm nervous about most things so it shouldn't surprise me that it's giving me jitters!

No fashion news, apart from buying a mens teenage mutant ninja turtles tee to chop and turn into a vest Grin

Love the ring amber

Drywhiteplease · 25/06/2014 22:20

Ooooh trapeze with wine......Grin ....not great with heels though

Drywhiteplease · 25/06/2014 22:33

Has anyone seen a Matt, bashed gold cuff anywhere?

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 25/06/2014 22:41

Evening ladies. Had a really quick skim through as I'm barely conscious (so tired it's ridiculous - no sign of let-up in the immediate future). In Ireland for the horse sales ATM and slipping away to Dundrum (great shopping) for a couple of hours tomorrow so a little excited. Bought myself the DVF Yvette dress in tweed online during a quiet moment today - under £90 NWT on ebay. Can't link from phone though. Did anyone watch This Old Thing on ch4 this eve? lLoved it and could watch Dawn O'Porter all day - beautiful, individual and super-stylish. Miss you all - maybe one day I'll have enough time to become an active member of the community again Smile
