Sleep, what a lovely thing to do.

Dry, have you posted links to what you will be wearing? Am sure you will look great. Pashmina's are a no no? Oh no, I love a pashmina!

Shop, a trip to NYC, that's fab. And yes, my first thought would be to leave dc's home too!

Ankle is feeling much better this evening thanks Liberty.

Drywhiteplease · 04/06/2014 07:49

Fedup apparently pashminas are out.....as are fascinates. Fashion snobbery I think.

Big outfit u turn this morning....all dressed for summer inc suede stone courts.....then I opened the curtains. Chunky black loafers back on!

shopafrolic · 04/06/2014 08:53

Morning all. Thanks for the book rec Mara - I knew you all would have some top tips. We're waiting to get it all confirmed but an email has been sent confirming that DH has won the incentive so fingers crossed they now come up with the goods.
Sleep how lovely to have you back - and with Jamie D - how kind! He was rather lush on Graham Norton. How was your holiday? It amazes me how many of us have a panic about bikinis - your body is amazing!!!
Dry how are the stress levels? How long will the builders be with you?
MNV trip to the cinema? Wink

Dry, I usually wear a cream jacket with my dress as it guards against the weather plus when it gets late and a bit chilly. Are you doing the same?

Morning. If you saw me right now you'd kick me off the thread Grin. Ds is still ill and I was up with him in the night so am knackered. It's raining and I just need comfort clothes so I'm wearing nike sweats and north face fleece. I figured I don't need to wear much else for a day at home.

NY sounds exciting shop. I'd possibly take a 3 yo if that was the only way of going but you're left with the problem of the evening and being trapped in the bathroom with a bottle of wine playing on your phone whilst ds sleeps in the room.

sleep Jamie's rather nice isn't he. I read the 50 shades books and enjoyed them for the easy read they were ( got bored with the sex stuff and skimmed over it half the time) but I'm not sure I want to see the film.

Morning all

Missed all the SATC chat last night - I think I dress like a cross between Carrie and Miranda & definitely don't have Carrie's men issues thank God.

So sales news: Marsha are you out there? Liberty have started with 40% of womenswear & 30% off shoes for VIP customers. PM me if you need a code.
And in Stylist this morning they had a list of some of the others. Mulberrys and Browns on 12 June, Harvey Nicks 17 June, Selfridges 18 June & Russell & Bromley on 28 June were my highlights.

On the shirt front Marsha I tend to do blouses more and try to avoid ironing by hanging them up when wet. They normally dry OK and I know this is sacrilege... but if they have some manmade fibres in they need less ironing .

I have a couple of real cotton shirts - TM Lewin ones - and I find I need to iron them as soon as I take them out of the wash, otherwise they are impossible. I have also been known to pay my cleaner for an extra hour to do the ironing...

MarshaBrady · 04/06/2014 10:53

Stokey that is really kind. I have the email and going today Grin Just finished meeting it was good so am taking it easy, shopping and maybe lunch!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/06/2014 11:11

Lookin forward to hearing what you get Marsha.

Nordstrom have said they will refund me for the broken sandals but can't send me a new pair, so I need to send them back. I've never posted a parcel overseas before, does anyone know what's the easiest way? Post office? Doesn't need to be the cheapest as they are paying.

Thanks :)

Stokey · 04/06/2014 11:14

Post office should be fine Blair - they'll weigh then and give you a receipt.

Marsha I was planning on popping to Libertys in my lunch hour too - good luck!

shopafrolic · 04/06/2014 11:31

AR dress and Boden bikini and swimsuit have arrived. Can't bring myself to get excited to try them on in this shitty weather!
Have fun in Liberty's ladies. AM available for texts from the changing room Marsha ! (sounds a bit wrong..)

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 04/06/2014 11:46

Hmm loads excluded. First floor first room (jeans etc) excluded. Middle floor VW etc in. And second floor in.

MarshaBrady · 04/06/2014 11:46

Haha Shop yep, that SR skirt out, damn.

MarshaBrady · 04/06/2014 12:41

And stuff that's included, hardly any sizes left. Grr at Liberty. Not sure whether to try again later when the other room is included.

MarshaBrady · 04/06/2014 12:54

V Victoria dress nearly half price and big voucher, not too bad. What do you think?

It's bright coral.

LinusDKD · 04/06/2014 12:57

Nice dress but it doesn't look like it's 'you'.

LinusDKD · 04/06/2014 13:00

LinusDKD · 04/06/2014 13:10

Better, but still not marsha.

hamptoncourt · 04/06/2014 13:16

Just bought this from Damsel in a Dress after seeing it on another thread.

I need it for a wedding that I already bought a dress for and will feed back when it arrives.

Very excited.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 04/06/2014 13:28

I love that SH jumper Marsha! But I was expecting cashmere for that price - acrylic?!

Great dress hampton, very Mary Katrantzou. Hope it's as nice as it looks.

Thanks Stokey will get down to the post office with them tomorrow then. Obv I didn't keep the packaging so I hope a padded envelope will be ok with them Hmm

MarshaBrady · 04/06/2014 13:38

God acrylic! No way! Good spot. Have moved up to Phillip Lim but on 1% am dropping out argh

shopafrolic · 04/06/2014 13:47

No to the dresses - sweater was ace but not if man made.....
I've had a try on of the dress - love it but am torn between which size to get. Need to think it through. Swimsuit is fab, bikini is also good but just not the bit between the top and the bottom i.e. me!
