Liberty I am jealous of your shopping trip, have yet to go into the JCrew store. I have been past a couple of times but with dc in tow. How are your m&s silver flats holding up. I am still mourning mine and they are now completely sold out online and none in westfield! They have left a gaping hole in my shoe collection. Boden don't have them in my size now either.

OneLittleLady · 17/06/2014 22:46

More and more people are commenting on my weight loss so I must have reached a point where it's becoming really obvious. I'm 1 lb off losing 3 stone now so I guess it's no surprise it's showing. Having a few issues with over heating with it being warm, need to work on my summer options if I'm going to survive Florida next year as I generally don't cope well in heat. Today's outfit was simple, a black mock wrap dress and wide red waist belt and black leather flats.

libertychick · 17/06/2014 22:50

M&S flats are holding up so far Justa but I haven't worn them for a full day yet and no long walks in them.

one that's great. It's nice to get positive feedback. I get a bit hot and bothered in this weather too!

maradesbois · 17/06/2014 23:15

shop I really love that red dress, actually prefer it to the jp one.

blair great outfit, a definite fashion editor look!

liberty enjoy your day in London with shopping breaks. I will be there on Thursday afternoon but have to stay fresh for an evening event so can't get too hot and bothered rooting thought the sales.

one well done on the continued weight loss.

Stokey · 18/06/2014 07:15

Justa I thinkb the trousers in that pattern are on sale too. The shirt and dress definitely are. Actually the dress is lovely, but thought I would get better CPW from the skirt.

Amazing weight loss One, you should be proud.
has anyone done the 30 day shred? I started it last night as DH is travelling and I have just under 3 weeks til Ibiza. I don't have any weights so was using tins of beans... Not sure it'll be that effective!

cartoontrickster · 18/06/2014 08:17

thank you all for the warm welcome.
blair love the name and love the outfit. its the sort of thing I love but then wouldn't actually have the guts to wear.
one that's brilliant weight loss! I really need to get motivated on that, ds is 5months and so far I haven't made much effort to shift my weight. I'm around 10lbs heavier than before I got preg but had gained some weight before then so actually have more like 20lbs to loose. are you following a particular diet/excercise plan?

can't remember who asked but yes I am on pin, I love it! I pin outfits I love some of which are the sort of thing I wear anyway some of its fantasizing as it wouldnt suit my figure/life style.
we are going for a long weekend in a caravan to Devon this weekend so am struggling with deciding what to pack!

shopafrolic · 18/06/2014 08:48

Layers Cartoon :) My friend was there last week - weather was amazing.
Dry I have a meeting at the school this evening for new parents (DS starts there in Sept). Can I wear smart jeans?

Selfridges sale on folks - some good discounts. Will swing by after work tomorrow for a browse. Have my eye on a couple of bits at NaP but am playing sales chicken with them as I hope they'll go lower.

Nice cardi - Do Target ship over here fedup?

Am wearing my suede leopard print Jimmy Choo loafers. So of course it is raining. These shoes are the sartorial equivalent of a bloody rain dance!

Well done on the continued weight loss One, there'll be nothing of you soon!

Bad news re. MU, my bloody well-meaning SIL (I do love her really) is throwing a family party for our kids' bdays, so I won't be able to make it again. Grrr.

MarshaBrady · 18/06/2014 09:07

Ha with you on both counts Amber rain dance Lanvin and playing NaP sales chicken. 30% not cutting it.

I just ran to beat a huge jam in my area, I reckon I could run to work properly more quickly than this. With trainers not new ballet flats.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 18/06/2014 09:09

Oh no Amber what a shame. Was looking forward to meeting you!

fedup the spot is well and truly covered today (I hope!) and justa sorry to hear you're suffering too. Krispy Kremes sound like a good remedy.

Culottes do feel weird but it's kind of like wearing a wide skirt. My boss always says "Oh I just love those shorts" when he sees me in them, ha!

Good NAP shopping mara.

Link to your pinterest cartoon? :)

Off to sneakily browse selfridges, have a great day all I do do some work sometimes, honest Wink

bettykt · 18/06/2014 09:31

Blair and Fedup Thanks

One great weight loss, please tell me your secret. I've got the dreaded 1/2 a stone that just won't shift. i`'m blaming age.

Shop I'd wear what you feel comfortable in and if that's smart jeans then so be it.

Have brought my bootcuts out today for the school run, they feel so comfy Blush I am old so I'm allowed to say that Grin I've teamed then up with some heels and they look fine. Makes a nice change from living in skinnies for the past 8 months. I don't think I can do the current trend for boyfriend jeans, I'm too short and too old to go round with holes in my jeans.

QueenCadbury · 18/06/2014 09:41

shop you can wear anything. Don't feel you need to dress any particular way Smile
betty glad you're wesring bootcuts. I do still love them especially with heels.

cartoontrickster · 18/06/2014 09:49

have no idea how to link to my pin from my phone. could pm my name??

OneLittleLady · 18/06/2014 10:14

cartoon and betty no rigid diet here, just fewer white carbs, more fish and veggies and just general less crap. I did a detox which seemed to kick start the weight loss, since then I've been steadily losing a few pounds at a time. I was hugely overweight at 16 stone 9 lbs, I'm only 4' 11'' so I'm sure you can imagine that I looked similar to a weeble!

shopafrolic · 18/06/2014 10:32

Atterley Road fail again on their refund process. Items sent back 6/6 - received by them end of last week (they never sent me email conformation), apparently the warehouse are a bit behind and I should get my refund by the end of this week. It's just not good enough - and not what they promised when we all complained on that Atterley Road thread before. Rubbish.

Betty I've helped One and a few other mnv'ers with tweaks to their diet, pm me if you want a chat about yours Smile.

OneLittleLady · 18/06/2014 10:51

Sorry, I should have mentioned you'd helped sleep how rude of me! I'm sorry. betty..sleep is definitely the person to talk to for diet tweaks, she helped me massively, I wouldn't be where I am now without her help

Thanks for sleep for my unintentional rudeness!

shopafrolic · 18/06/2014 11:00

Sleep is indeed fab
I meant to update on the NYC thing. The company are going to give us the cash equivalent so we can take a trip to somewhere a bit more toddler friendly instead. I think we'll be able to get some kind of luxury spa hotel in Europe which will work much better. Any recommendations welcome. :)

Welcome Cartoon and don't be too hard on yourself, your baby is still little. I didn't really manage to lose pregnancy weight until I stopped BFing, about 8 months with both. Then I just gave up cakes, choc and bread for a month and most of it went quite quickly, except for a few pounds I'm still hanging on to.

Really I only got motivated when I went back to work.

shopafrolic · 18/06/2014 11:07

Has anyone seen these anywhere at a bargainous price please? sandals Anni? :)

Hi everyone! Have tried to keep up with all your posts, but nearly impossible due to all work and no play. Meeting in Paris went well first week in June, and last week all week in Frankfurt so quite exhausted and glad this week I have a bit of homeworking and MN Vogue thread to catch up with

So since last post (early thread #39) I ordered a few things to cheer myself up, can never get to shops otherwise! And ordered and kept this final Muubaa purchase for spring:
Pink Biker
I love it, and the pale pink is difficult to describe not sugary, just pale blush shade that suits my dark hair. Got it with 50% discount voucher.

Also ordered some stuff from J.Lewis sale - Gerry Weber for work, won't link as it is ALL going back. Just didnt suit me.Sad

Waiting for White Company purchases to arrive today:
This for holidays
and
This casual work days with no external meetings

We will see, got them both with discount vouchers.

Finally from figleaves for the beach
This
to accomodate 34FF and disguise stomach
And a kaftan (cannot find in website anymore) that matches the other Fantasie swimsuit I bought earlier this spring

I am looking very old with the lack of sleep and work travel, so not feeling my best. We will see if any of the white co or figleaves purchases are keepers...

And since I am looking like such an old hag, got tempted at airport with Clarins self tanning cream which I've yet to try....have never self tanned before and fearing the oompa loompa look!! Hmm

Have been impressed and amused by all the posts and lovely links!
Thanks

Sleepwhenidie · 18/06/2014 11:11

Not rude at all One - you've done the hard work!

Cartoon I'd second what Stokey said about being gentle with your self (you too Hopefully Wink). The period when your baby is very little passes so quickly and is so short in the scheme of your life, don't waste it stressing about your tummy, enjoy your baby! Fwiw I was heavier a year after giving birth than I was at 9m pg. Once I stopped bf and started getting some kind of regular sleep a relative term, I started paying more attention to exercise and what I ate and now am in better shape than I was at 25.

The swap for Europe sounds great Shop! I don't have any ideas but would look at TotsGoToo (?) website, also iescape and I think Mr&MrsSmith do some family friendly places too now?

Ok - housekeeping conundrum. I have a stain on the back of a fine knit pale grey cashmere sweater (no idea how or what Hmm). It's my favourite Duffy poncho so I am very Sad. Haven't got it out with 3 washes (machine, 30deg silk/wool setting with Stergene and also tried ariel bio) so am now willing to try anything, even risk ruining it. The stain is yellow and quite large, could be tea, could be OJ...any bright ideas anyone please?

Stokey · 18/06/2014 11:23

Shop not quite the same but there are still some on Brand Alley.

I just got my delivery Trinas & Gigis. I think the Gigis may be a little small - my toe comes right to the end, but the Trinas are great.

SoyYo · 18/06/2014 11:49

Sleep maybe this helps?
Have never come across "Shout Advanced" which seems to be the best stain remover for cashmere, but according to a comment it is available in UK? worth investigating...
