I'm alive! I'm alive! Grin and I've had lovely highlights put in my hair and am now plonked on the sofa where I plan to stay for the rest of the day!
It was incredible......padded shorts are a revelation, energy jelly beans did weird things to my legs and they just developed a mind of their own whizz ing round like they were attached to the wrong body Grin... I didn't hide at the back and I didn't slow down. Feel elated bit tired thanks for all your good wishes! And Amber I've always hated my thighs but without them I couldn't have done this Smile

WIT has always annoyed me a bit.

these block heels were waiting for me when I got home. Great price for leather. Fab with jeans and lovely with
this skirt not sure with this blue one or am I being too matchy? What do you think?

Shop love the JP dress

Annianni · 07/06/2014 18:49

Sounds fab Novice, I love RM dresses.

Yay... Well done Dry Flowers
you'll be sore tomorrow

Great blog post Amber.

Congratulations to Hopefully Flowers

Hopefully · 07/06/2014 18:51

Thanks for all the congrats everyone! I'm hoping to find the time to blog a bit more now that the pregnancy from hell is over and I look less like a beached whale Grin

loving that Next jumpsuit, am v tempted not even close to a size 6 required for me atm.

maradesbois · 07/06/2014 18:57

Will catch up properly later but just popping in to say marsha have been pondering that être cecile dress all week, been in my shopping bag but wasn't sure. Isn't 'me' but felt a bit drawn to it. Would love to know what you think when it arrives, please don't cancel!!

AmberNectarine · 07/06/2014 18:59

I quite like WIT, but it must be such an effort presenting your life as perfect all the time. I'd quite like her to say 'sorry folks, can't be arsed - I'm wearing H&M leggings and Greta's having fishfingers for tea'.

shop mine is a size 1 - hope 4 won't be too big for you!

novice - that's a whole lotta bling - bet you look very glam, where are you off to?

dry high five for the power thighs - I'm taking mine out for a 5 mile run in the morning. Well done for that effort, enjoy your night on the sofa!

Thanks all for the kind comments re blog post x

LinusDKD · 07/06/2014 19:27

dry well done! Enjoy your night on the sofa.

hopefully congratulations! You looked so snuggly with your LO in that picture.

amber great blogpost. I have decided to get my legs out more. They have never been my best feature, but you know what, I bet I would regret not having them out more when I am in my Fifties so that's why I am doing it now.

shop love that black JP dress and the one you ordered today.

And love that skirt marsha! Such great colours.

blair lovely bag. Great colour combination.

About WIT, I think we shouldn't forget that her dayjob is in the fashion industry so she will always appear more put together than a 'normal' woman.

Still wearing my vest top and teeny shorts (now with an extra coating of dirt, snot and food. The DC's, not mine) and am going to sit on our terrace enjoying the balmy evening with someWine

shopafrolic · 07/06/2014 19:30

Joseph dress is on, Spanx are off - tummy overhang, no point. Still not sure about the PLV heels as I think they are a bit wide but I'm being picky and DH likes the outfit Wink
Have a lovely evening all x

Wow Shop have a great time that's a fab out fit.
Congrats Hopefully had been wondering when your baby would be born.x

Drywhiteplease · 07/06/2014 19:37

Grin Amber

Hopefully · 07/06/2014 19:43

I find WIT exhausting to read - suffice to say my life with a new baby is not entirely how hers is.

Amber's blog post is making me think maybe I should reassess my original plan of avoiding shorts for the duration of this summer as I am 'too fat'. Viva la revolution Grin.

Turquoiseblue · 07/06/2014 20:08

Hello everyone

Congrats hopefully, sorry to hear you had a rough pregnancy, I noticed your blog had been quiet. Hope you get back to it soon, don't worry your fans will wait! Enjoy those lovely newbie days.
Dry- well done. Love new hair feeling too- enjoy.
Marsha - great sweater . Ironing sweaters though.... Hmm
Amber, your blog post resonated. Keep up the good work. We got daughters to inspireSmile. Ps love the bikini.
Am sat here in nice hotel with dh having wine. Cream zara pleated midi, black mid heel courts, black and cream by malene birger t. Loving this outfit.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

MarshaBrady · 07/06/2014 20:34

Oh no Turq I'm the least ironing mad person! I meant the shirt underneath the sweater as it's hidden. But I do it anyway.

Love your outfit, have fun tonight. Yours too Shop.

Hopefully I knew, but congratulations again Grin lovely to see you here. Don't forget you're on your third! One is much more portable.

WIT is a light read, does good Instagram - I don't follow but have seen some lovely shots linked.

Dry well done!

MarshaBrady · 07/06/2014 20:35

Mara it's here on Monday, with the skirt, I'll let you know!

MarshaBrady · 07/06/2014 20:36

Novice you'd look fabulous in that jumpsuit, what a pity it's sold out.

AmberNectarine · 07/06/2014 22:07

I've really embraced shorts this year and I honestly regret not doing it before. I'm so cross with myself for wasting so much time stressing about such trivia.

LinusDKD · 07/06/2014 22:26

I saw this duvet cover in the shops today and I had to think of queenc.

Maybe your DH wouldn't like it though. Grin

Amber I don't know if you saw the short chat about princess/Queen archetypes wrt to style/body image and confidence we had a short while back, but it sounds like you are definitely getting into your Queen - very cool.

Hampton if you ever think you'd like to do a bit of work re body image etc, pls pm me I have a policy of using mnv'ers as guinea pigs not charging mnv'ers!

I blame Shop for all her Outnet links but I ordered alice&olivia dress and James Perse maxi last night. I have a wedding party next month and also a party at the Summer Exhibition so thought the coloured dress could work for those (even maybe MU too). I wanted to brows more but there was only one A&O dress left in my size so I was twitchy. It really irritates me that you can't reserve stuff for 30 mins on the Outnet, too many experiences of things going oos before I check out. Can we lobby them to change it do you think?

Sleepwhenidie · 08/06/2014 08:19

Browse, obvs Hmm!

BrandyAlexander · 08/06/2014 08:36

Hello everyone! Hopefully, so lovely to see you and again many many congratulations! Enjoy the snugly times, I think my ovaries twitched too.Smile

So having planned in great detail what I was going to wear, I suddenly wobbled at the very last minute on whether I should wear a dress that i wouldn't get the chance to wear too often rather than one I could wear more often. So, I showed 3 dresses on hanger to dh and he said yes do colour and his favourite was this Michael Kors dress. So I ended up wearing it. Wish I had taken a picture as it looked great. I am bustier than the model so it looked quite sexy.

This meant 30 mins before we went out a wholesale change of accessories to match the gold detail in the dress. I ended up wearing 3ct amethyst studs, gold bangle which doubles as a watch, gold bracelet which has six different gemstones, amethyst and gold ring. Shoes were jimmy choo patent peep toes (different to what I was planning to wear) and this clutch which has a gold chain.

Dh told me later he only opted for the red dress because if I wore the RM, all he would think about all night was unzipping it and it would be erm uncomfortableShock Hmm

The night was amazing. Black tie dinner and dancing birthday celebration for 150 people in a marquee in the back garden of a friends house. Fantastic catering, great dj, nice portaloos (I judge on those!) and they even thought to have security dotted around the grounds. Dh still asleep, I am on child duties.

Novice that all sounds fabulous. The portal ops were top notch at the wedding last week too. I was pleasantly surprised. Although the incredible food before dinner (fresh seafood and deli) probably my favourite. Plus the guests of course.

There's a great line in Mad Men when Joan wears a red dress with a bow and Roger says something about a bow like a present. I think your dh's senses would go off the scale if you wore a bow Grin

This weather! Dh and I are enjoying the sunshine , with coffee. The dc are happy playing Lego. Long may it last.

Amber loved that MW lace top, gorgeous colours.

MarshaBrady · 08/06/2014 09:03

Sleep lovely dresses. The outnet's system does bring a certain frisson to ordering. But then I'm a sucker for just 1 left (in my size) works every time and I have to order. Not sure about 30mins I quite like the immediacy. But am probably the only one.

Hopefully · 08/06/2014 09:11

Novice that MK dress is fabulous, the RM must have been truly spectacular to have been even better ShockGrin. Sounds like a fab night.

Sleep love those dresses - I would be so tempted by the JP maxi if it wasn't a colour that made me an insta-corpse.

Gorgeous day here too. I am about to head to the allotment with the DCs to check our seeds. Am wearing Baukjen tube skirt which is my shorts-substitute until I manage to buy some and actually brave wearing them.

Sleepwhenidie · 08/06/2014 09:15

hopefully, I forgot to say congrats and welcome back Flowers. I am very Envy about newborn snuggles too!

BrandyAlexander · 08/06/2014 09:21

sleep that Alice & Olivia dress is lovely. would love to see how you wear it. Envy I would avoid for myself for feat of looking hideous!
