My turn......

motherinferior · 21/05/2014 20:04

Maybe French women never get properly fitted?

Personal underpinnings, BTM.Grin

cremolafoam · 21/05/2014 20:10

I do like a nude bra but I have to laugh how tan they are compared to my lilac anaemic skin. They're the only thing that do justice to a light / white top . However I also love a nice peach satin burlesque -bordering bit of ooh lala as well.Grin ici

Thanks NU. I am hoping that one day I wake up and it will be gone. Today I could hardly get out of bed . The opioids are doing nothing.Sad

SheherazadeSchadenfreude · 21/05/2014 20:13

I suspect that a lot of them are on some kind of hormonal contraception, hence the need for only teeny tampons, Lalsy. I had no problem in getting jumbo tampons from E.Leclerc when we were holidaying in rural Normandy.

BTM, I have always tended to have low blood pressure - they usually make me stand up to take it (apparently it gives a higher reading) but last time I had it taken, it was in the "normal" range at last - 110/70. I thought it had gone up a bit, as I was tending not to have my mid afternoon slump, where I get dizzy and have to sit down and have a Coke or a biscuit. Damn. I've got no excuse now.

NUFC69 · 21/05/2014 20:19

Actually I do remember years ago reading research into breasts and .. ahem ... it pointed out the nationsl differences. For example, British women's nipples pointed one way and the French another, something like inward pointing as it were, and outward pointing. I am a mine of useless information which I have read over my lifetime, otoh I still have no idea where I put down my spare glasses on Sunday.

Good that your BP is down s bit, BTM.

motherinferior · 21/05/2014 20:22

Now I'm wavering again, I'll have you know.Grin

motherinferior · 21/05/2014 20:23

It's all getting a bit S&B round here.Shock

SheherazadeSchadenfreude · 21/05/2014 20:30

My cat is hooked on the curtains, balancing with one paw on the chair and mewing piteously. It is his own fault, he went to swipe the Kitten, who is sitting demurely on the window sill. She gave him a pitying look and is now ignoring him.

Is that better, MI? Grin

NearTheWindymill · 21/05/2014 20:31

I hope so much that everyone is feeling better and happier.

NUFC the nipple pointing made me smile the sort of smile that dd asks me what's the matter. Do you think mine might point in different directions because of the continental cocktail of my heritage? Grin Always wondered why tbf Grin

NearTheWindymill · 21/05/2014 20:35

Apologies MI.

I have just put a quiche (yes quiche) in the oven. DH will complain and DD has complained pitifully already.

I am refraining from too much GCSE debate but there have been tears tonight - sadly about the size of her thighs rather than lack of revision Hmm.

Rosebag · 21/05/2014 20:39

I guess France would have me deported, then…on account of causing a public affray in a lingerie shop when asking for a G cup size Blush
Cremola, that bra is the business. So sorry for your pain, though. One doctor I saw when I seriously put my back out (not pain down the leg but it was terrible) prescribed a real cocktail including valium. Best night's sleep I'd ever had. I do wish you better.

Going to check on DS, who's revising poetry for tomorrow's Eng GCSE on Skype with friends …they seem to be discussing phallic symbols. What are they teaching them in schools these days….

SheherazadeSchadenfreude · 21/05/2014 21:18

I would like mine to point up. Sad

Stropperella · 21/05/2014 21:25

Congrats on your exam result, btw, MrsS.

Crem, I sincerely hope that the sciatica pain abates soon.

I am a little worried about how dd will fare in tomorrow's Eng Lit. She has declared Romeo & Juliet to be a pile of boring old exaggerated tosh and is now watching a "documentary" about something to do with McFly. Hmm I fear exam fatigue may have set in. Still, once tomorrow is over (Eng Lit 2 and Geog 2), she only has Eng Lang and Maths left after half-term. It's been a tough couple of weeks.

Beachy, hope the AS exams have gone OK. Enjoy Barca (you lucky sod) :)

originalpiratematerial · 21/05/2014 21:27

Thank God I'm not French. Even now I am a scrawny old bint I still have E cup knockers. And as for periods, well. I use regular tampons the day before my period starts properly. And when it does start, it's a case of getting through 3 - 4 super plus tampons by about 10 a.m.

Stropperella · 21/05/2014 21:27

MrsS, mine no longer point at all. They just hang there sadly.

originalpiratematerial · 21/05/2014 21:28

Stropps, ich auch Sad.

hattymattie · 21/05/2014 21:29

I can get big tampons at my local Marche U. As for bras - I think they go quite large in the specialist lingerie shops although I have to say I saw three ladies laughing and laughing at an enormous bra in M&S. I didn't get a bra fitting in the bra shop as they seemed to be able to tell my size just by looking at me!

NUFC69 · 21/05/2014 21:39

DH is studying snd writing notes for his speed awareness course tomorrow. Shock I am pretty certain that he won't be tested but I think he intends to be top of the class!

Good luck with the exams tomorrow - only two more days and it's the holidays and a bit of a break from the stress for all DMs.

Stropperella · 21/05/2014 21:43

The 2 speed awareness courses I've been on consisted of turning up, confessing your sins, watching some videos, doing some group work, getting a certificate and going home again. The courses were useful, but no study was involved. I wonder if it's different in different parts of the country.

motherinferior · 21/05/2014 21:46

I've just spent an hour gazing at bras online. My head is going to explode. Now I'll order the one I was going to in the first place as the Figleaves one I liked the look of has dreadful reviews.

Crem, hope the sciatica starts to abate soon.

NearTheWindymill · 21/05/2014 21:52

Ooh DH is at the lights at World's End! Quick tidy up before he gets home then.

Nah Rudy, you are lovely!

lalsy · 21/05/2014 22:35

Rudy Smile

Crem so sorry you are in such pain.

Good luck to your dd tomorrow Stropps, it sounds as if she is coping well, and to any other crepey dc doing exams (dd has an AS resit but seems mostly focussed on various leaving school shenanigans).

Nude bras - I was about to buy a while bra to wear under a white shirt. is that wrong then? My skin is refletive, gleaming white, especially in the bosom area, does that make a difference?

Auriga · 21/05/2014 22:36

Rudy, Grin Grin

QQ, thought of you last night. Too lame to turn up for my seminar but attended by phone, 'twas v.g.

How was yours?
