I'm keen on those Oasis flats Linus is getting.

Do you think you have to be under a size 7 foot to wear pointed flats? Too sausagey long?

Turquoiseblue · 07/05/2014 16:42

Nope Marsha - Try them. They look lovely.
Hmm have decided dh needs a wardrobe overhaul, ideas for where to look for men's style anyone ?

Stokey · 07/05/2014 16:45

It gets a bit of stick on here Turq but Dh has got a lot of nice linen stuff from Zara man in the past. Black & beige linen shirts and trousers, and similar from Massimo Dutti.

Stokey · 07/05/2014 16:54

I love them both Dry. Tried the butterfly one this week (no fan left in the shop) and the Jigsaw one that Belinda linked, but definitely preferred the Oasis ones (and half the price!).

MarshaBrady · 07/05/2014 16:56

Damn size 7 sold out. Maybe I can get a 6? Who has these raspberry shoes?

LinusDKD · 07/05/2014 17:00

Sorry marsha still no Asos order. I got a 4 as I am usually a 4.5 and I was told they come up big.

MarshaBrady · 07/05/2014 17:01

Linus yes I think you're right, a half size would be ok. But a full size down will be too small.

MarshaBrady · 07/05/2014 17:02

Turq dh just gets h&m for casual stuff I think. He used to get the few Paul Smith things.

LinusDKD · 07/05/2014 17:05

I do think that a whole size down could work but as they don't do half sizes I went for a 4 instead of a 3.5.

MarshaBrady · 07/05/2014 17:11

Cool, thanks. Will order this week.

Drywhiteplease · 07/05/2014 17:16

Stokey the quality of the fan print (haven't received the butterfly one) is excellent

shopafrolic · 07/05/2014 17:42

Marsha I wear pointed flats all the time and I'm a 7.5 so I hope my feet don't look like sausages! :)

MarshaBrady · 07/05/2014 18:13

I'm sure they don't Shop not sure why I said that. I had some once and I did love them, got to get back into them.

Drywhiteplease · 07/05/2014 18:21

Marsha if I had size 7 feet then I'd look ridiculous in pointy shoes....however your feet are n proportion with the rest of your body, as are Shop's, so of course you could wear them.....it's just a question of getting used to the look.

True Dry and I'm talking rubbish really as I remember Shop's Missoni ones looked fab.

Sleepwhenidie · 07/05/2014 19:03

Shop - sorry you are still feeling terrible Sad.

I have a house full of young men (Flyte) here for dinner tonight Grin - DH around too though - I am joking, they are all too young for me. Our nanny is joining us too, she is very happy!

Just wanted to say how much I am loving my Mother Dropout jeans...so comfortable and flattering I am almost tempted to get another pair! I'd really recommend them to anyone looking for slim boyfriends.

I think DH will be taking the DC's out for the day on 6 July - I need to confirm, so its just an idea but I could maybe do lunch here for everyone and you guys could bring the prosecco? Or does everyone prefer to go to a restaurant? I won't be offended if that's the case!...and remind me again how many of us there will be?!

MarshaBrady · 07/05/2014 19:16

Sleep that is amazing, I am happy to bring lots of nice deli type food that will make it in one piece and the prosecco of course. We could always de-camp at some point so your dh doesn't have to come home to a house full of voguettes. But yes you may want to check numbers Grin. Ps if you get cold feet / can't do it whatever you do don't feel obliged. It's a very kind offer.

Love the Mother bfs, would need to check size but am tempted.

Flyte for dinner sounds fun.

Topazandpearl · 07/05/2014 19:29

That is so kind Sleep, but as Marsha says, don't feel obliged. (I presume you mean 5th July?) Would you enjoy it as much if you were hosting? We wouldn't want to cause any stress. I am happy with whatever is decided (and if at yours, would bring chocs and prosecco!)

So sorry you are still not well Shop. Hope the politics are better Dry.

Sleepwhenidie · 07/05/2014 19:31

I sized down one Marsha, my usual size was too baggy. They have them in Selfridges if you want to try before Shopbopping!

Everyone else, shout out your vote for lunch on 6th...if your day out to London won't feel the same if you end up at someone's house then just say...there are some nice bars very close that we could decamp to as Marsha says.

shopafrolic · 07/05/2014 19:56

Sleep that's an amazing offer but I think this one is the biggest MU yet? What if we trash your kitchen? Grin
Dry did you keep count?

shopafrolic · 07/05/2014 19:59

I was in the process of researching restaurants with private dining. I'd found one near Regent's Park that does Tapas and was going to put some choices on email for people to vote. So let me know the final decision Sleep, happy to take on the booking if necessary........

QueenCadbury · 07/05/2014 20:51

sleep do you mean 5th July? Am happy to come to yours and will happily provide prosecco and anything I can pick up in local deli/m&s or give money towards food. we can peek in your wardrobe. I'm shopping before meeting so will be getting my London fix down regent st.

QueenCadbury · 07/05/2014 20:52

?hop can you get to the hospital for blood tests as soon as it opens or can you get a friend to mind ds for a bit? You really should get them done soon .

libertychick · 07/05/2014 21:04

Sleep that's a fab offer but yes need to check if you mean 5th or 6th as I think the out of town people have all booked train tickets for the 5th. I'm happy to bring food or chip in for a deli delivery (and of course prosecco). And as the others say, you can change your mind you may want to cast your mind back to just how drunk both Marsha and me can get Grin

BTW - are Flyte around that day? Wink
