Great, glad to of helped.

How are all the Springs on this really hot day? I've been poorly on and off for 3 weeks and just about got my energy back. Have spent the weekend tackling my Summer clothes (washing ironing and clearing out). Last Summer was just after I had my colours done and I think I went crazy with my ** ones - lots or bright blue, leaf green and coral! I still love it to be honest.
I've picked up these in the last few days;
Joules skirt
Joules trousers in mint not actually too sure about these - may go back.
Green Osis dress wore yesterday to a street party - changed for silver belt - love it so easy to wear.

Anyone else had some good purchases?

Struggling to be honest, Mumelie.
I was looking through my laid up summer things for something cool to wear & could only find some black sleeveless t shirts. I desperately need some short sleeved ones, has anyone seen any?

Some nice things there, especially loving the pencil skirt.

I haven't bought anything recently. Got a lot of M&S gift vouchers from Christmas present burning a hole in my pocket but yet to see something I love. I'm determined to buy only things I love & will keep from now on, having been shamed by just how much stuff I have lurking unworn in my wardrobe Blush

Hi Springs! Popping over from winter...

Aque bought a short sleeved t in Zara the other day. Will find link. I quite like their linen ones too? I have trouble in summer as don't do short sleeves that much as have scar on arm. Makes it hot!

I have lots unworn as well. Need to force myself to have a trying session where I try outfits and remember what options there are rather than just always putting on the same things. Bit hot in our bedroom though to do that right now and no time!

Mumelie those are nice Joules things. Like the belted dress esp'.

tshirt tshirt may be bit boxy for you Aque? (and me!)

another linen one? fancied this though didn't buy it for some reason...

Hi Fooogle, really glad you haven't deserted us completely Smile

How are you finding the Winter thread? I sometimes look & they seem to find lots of things to share links to. It seems a very active thread.

I'll look at Zara, have to be online as I don't have one near. Have heard their sizing is the opposite of "vanity" !!

Hi everyone.

Havent been around much as not much to update really.
Bought a fab cardigan in a little boutique recently which is red, aqua, blue, cream, taupe and patterned. It goes with lots of my clothes which is good.

I have also dug out my proper summer clothes. Need to get more bright stuff as I have loads of neutral and I wore lots of my reds to death so they all look tatty. Saw a lovely orange top in monsoon recently but they never have my size.

Heck! We've slipped, giving us a bump. How is everyone?

I haven't bought much lately, having a wardrobe blitz. There seems to be a lot of coral in the shops!

Hi Aque - oh we did slip didnt we! Not been on for a while (as ap on my phone isnt working and rarely turn my laptop on).
Trying not to spend (but cant help it). Picked up a red Oasis cardi and a yellow skinny belt from White Stuff recently. Wish the weather would improve - I'm still in knee boots!

I'm giving this a bump.
Heaven knows what umpty page we've dropped to, had to do a search to even find us again. Smile

Is anyone else still around? Or are there any new Springs around?
The Winter thread is still alive & kicking but we seem to have dropped off the radar!

Missing lurking on this thread so better post! My sales purchase of the day is this gorgeous top - a bit brighter and more aqua in reality

Hi cardoon glad I'm not Billy No Mates on here Grin
Lovely top, very summery.

I've bought a few bits this last week. A silk/cotton mix collarless shirt with a grey & turquoise floral abstract print, can't find it on the website to do a link, navy skinny jeans & a pair of cream straight leg ones, all in M&S sale, plus cream Skechers trainers & these

I'm still around too Grin had an online splurge today on dresses which seem to match my swatches from the computer screen so we shall see when they get here. Mainly coral and turquoise ones from new look. If I wait until I'm going away there'll be no summery clothes in the shops!

Helloooo.

I have managed to lose 12lb lately so have managed a bit of shopping.

I have bought www.newlook.com/shop/womens/tall/tall-pale-blue-boyfriend-drop-pocket-cardigan_302216845 in pale blue and coral which look lovely.

Also some basic t-shirt dresses from Matalan.

Aiming to lose another half stone and plan to really splurge after that...

Congratulations Eustacia, that's brilliant Smile well done you. Better than me. I seem to have been dieting forever. Lost a stone but have been stuck for ages now hoping to get down another half stone too. How can you eat less but still keep losing & gaining the same three pounds? Confused

That cardy looks good, great for summer to throw over everything.
I went a bit mad in the Kettlewell sale but sent everything back except for two tops. The colours were fine but the ones I returned were sleeveless with baggy armholes. I've bought a couple of pairs of skinny jeans, finally spent my Christmas M&S gift vouchers, in navy & beige.

Is our thread up & running again then? Thought we'd vanished into the ether Grin

Hello ladies. How have you all been managing in the heat? Being in Scotland this hot hot weather is rare so I'm always a bit reluctant to spend too much on very hot weather clothes. Also I find most of the camis and floaty maxis, printed trousers etc are actually polyester or viscose which I find so uncomfortable in the heat!! I bought lush bright red printed trousers from Mango which look great but are no use on super warm days due to fabric....grrr

I did get some sale bits and pieces but to be honest have been focusing on things I can wear into the autumn. I fancied the famous Whistles tube skirt in navy but felt 70 quid was steep, managed to pick it up in John Lewis sale for 30. Also got some amazing leopard print flats, slightly pointed, from Clarks sale. Comfy : )). Mint velvet is a fave of mine so stocked up on some knitwear from their at fab prices.

Is it really warm in Scotland, Gilly? We're heading off up there on Monday to tour round & was hoping it might be a bit cooler for the mutts.

I don't like spending a lot on summer things either, much the same reason as it's rarely this hot here, high on the Pennines. The only way you can usually tell summer from winter is the temperature if the wind & rain Confused

Forgot, I got some Clarks shoes too. these I got the yellow & they were so comfy I went back & got the orange.

There's far too much polyester around in the shops!

Gillybobs · 26/07/2014 14:08

It's been mid to high twenties, I know it's been hotter down South but 27degrees is phenomenal for here! It's to get a bit cooler from tomorrow, next week's forecast is around 20 so you will be fine

You just can't beat clarks for comfort can you!?

Report
Aque1ven · 26/07/2014 17:12

No, these ballet pumps are brilliant.
Oh, thank goodness it's going to be cooler. I've had windows & doors open all over the house & it's still like an oven.

Have you looked at any new stuff coming into the shops for autumn? From what I saw when I was in town last week there were some interesting styles but not for us colour wise!

Report
Gillybobs · 26/07/2014 17:51

Only a quick look at Boden and Mint Velvet. Mint velvet colours particularly dire this season but some fab stuff as per usual on Boden. Amazing turquoise bistro crops, a stunning turquoise skirt. I much prefer their autumn winter stuff to their summer range, every year I fall back in love when that autumn/winter catalogue appears.

Hi everyone.
Just popping in to say hi. Saw the thread had reappeared.
It's roasting hot here in Somerset. Just got back from a week in Cornwall where it was 30c yesterday - too warm for me - glad it's getting cooler next week.
Not looked at AW stuff in shops as yet. picked up a few bits in Boden sale but do have a lot of summer clothing as replaced the lot last year after having my colours done.

30c, good grief Mumelie, I'd melt!
It rained here overnight. Could hear the garden breathing a sigh of relief!

What's the sizing & fit like with Boden? Never ordered from them before.

Report
Gillybobs · 27/07/2014 08:52

Sizing is on the generous side I'd say. Quality excellent and you can return stuff up to a year after buying it, even if you've worn it, they will still credit your account. Amazing customer service.
