Morning. I.must.be.mad. Am at soft play center.Shock

I was lucky, both ds and dd got potty training straight away in 2 days, BUT, dd had a phobia about poos. It took her one year to do poos in the potty. So she did wees just after she turned 2 then poos when she was 3. It was minging. I didn't train ds till he was 2.5 for that reason. You do need the patience of a saint! Good luck - plenty of Brew in day and Wine at night!

shopafrolic · 17/02/2014 12:50

Sorry to everyone who doesn't know me (and those that do!) for lowering the tone on Vogue. Everytime we have an accident I look at my new orange Zatchel and it's putting a smile on my face.
I have a dinner out with DH and friends on Saturday to look forward to - going to wear the new Joseph dress!

LinusDKD · 17/02/2014 12:51

A jumpsuit for grumpy

And lots of Sophia Webster shoes on The Outnet today mig

OneLittleLady · 17/02/2014 12:59

Shop the sweatshirt arrived just now and is great, thank you very much Thanks Wine

Freshly back from my CBT assessment at the pain clinic, the psychologist seems nice enough and he says he really thinks he can help me so I suppose it's worth a try. At the very least, it might make me less angry about having this disease so would be worth it for that alone.

Still channeling the nineties today - grey acid wash skinnies, green cartoon character tee and plaid shirt again. Teamed with my black velvet superga hi-tops when out vGrin

Help me through the misery of my day ladies..........please?
I want to buy a bag to sling changes of clothes in for DS now that we're in the process of ditching the nappies. I am so sick of carrying his ugly change bag everywhere. I don't have much cash and am conscious that I'll still need to carry multiple changes of clothes (and it may get wet) as well as snacks and drinks I'm thinking about buying a Le Pliage.
Looking at the Selfridges website there seem to be shoulder bags and then handbags of different sizes.
Decam I think you have one don't you? Just wondered if I carry my Zatchel with keys, purse and phone which one you might recommend? We don't use a buggy anymore so I'd need to be able to carry it and hold DS' hand........
Any top tips?

shopafrolic · 17/02/2014 14:46

I'm guessing this one?

LinusDKD · 17/02/2014 14:55

I would advise that one as well. Have a look on Ebay, maybe they have some nice second hand ones.

Sometimes this model is called the large shopper so maybe search under that name as well

I have one in red with long handles and it gets used for all kinds of outings. DMIL bought be a magenta one with short handles and that's handy for when you travel by car.

shopafrolic · 17/02/2014 14:58

Thanks Linus judging by today it needs to be able to carry a couple of sets of wet clothes amongst other bits........Hmm
Not sure whether to get taupe or camel - or fly against my Autumn colours and this ray of sunshine but I guess I'd look a bit of an idiot carrying it with my orange Zatchel?

SecretSquirrel13 · 17/02/2014 15:02

Shop I agree with Linus get one from eBay and use for this next few months (hopefully weeks in your case!) and then sell it on later. I had a canvas bag for this purpose or just had a backpack for dc with their stuff in with a plastic bag for the wet stuff.
I don't envy you this time we are pretty much through it now but youngest took best part of a year no idea where I went wrong as the other took 3 weeks max to train!

SecretSquirrel13 · 17/02/2014 15:04

One great weight loss Grin

shopafrolic · 17/02/2014 15:05

One I missed your post I'm sorry - that is amazing!! Well done!

LinusDKD · 17/02/2014 15:10

We started potty training on a weekend so we could stay in the first few days. And we cranked up the heating so DS could walk around in his bare bottom the first two days.

Then I only took DS out for short trips, making sure he had gone to the toilet before leaving, going straight to the toilet when we got back and only going to places where I knew where the toilets were.

And they were brilliant at nursery as well so I am sure that helped.

shopafrolic · 17/02/2014 15:10

I can't tell the real from the fakes on EBay and reckon I'd still use it in years to come for other stuff? Unless anyone cares to email me EBay ones they think are genuine? Confused

LinusDKD · 17/02/2014 15:13

Btw, it was very frustrating every time he pood his pants but I really did my best not to show it as I didn't want him to become even more reluctant.

I even went to H&M to buy more underpants (sell them in a pack of three, good quality just a bit of a struggle finding them in non garish colours) as I was fed up having to soak then wash several pairs a day.

And, as I said, bribery if all else fails. Wink

LinusDKD · 17/02/2014 15:14

And well done one, that is amazing!

OneLittleLady · 17/02/2014 15:29

thanks everyone, it's brightened my day after a big weeping session this morning (first CBT for pain management session, not a random weep!)

There's a college open day on Saturday where I've applied to study, trying to arrange getting in so I can show them again that I mean business!

shopafrolic · 17/02/2014 15:59

Really like this one

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 17/02/2014 16:01

Yay one well done! When will you find out if you got the study place?

shop I think taupe on the le pliage (though baby blue is lovely, seeing it everywhere at the min!)

Randomly managed to get the navy blue version of this Uniqlo silk shirt for a tenner (can't link as last one), so very pleased about that. No free delivery but can't complain I suppose!

Bargain pink jumpsuit was meant to be delivered today but Royal Mail say delivery failed (to my office?!). it's being held at the delivery office so lovely secretary is going to collect it for me in the morning :)

Staying well out of the potty training talk but good luck to everyone that's going through it Grin

OneLittleLady · 17/02/2014 16:04

I'm not sure Blair they could give an answer at any time so I'm on tenterhooks!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 17/02/2014 16:11

Fingers crossed for you then One Flowers

justasecond · 17/02/2014 17:13

Good luck Shop! potty training is the worst! Although I have always skipped the potty part as I have a phobia of them. My only advice is just keep going and see it through to the bitter end. It is v tempting to give up after a day or 2. Ds turned 3 in dec and I trained in oct half term he was vv reluctant but eventually cracked after a few days and lots of chocolate coins. I dont agree with Gina Ford but found her toilet training in a week book v good.
In fashion news I am tempted by this uniqlo shirt www.uniqlo.com/uk/store/goods/088185-32-003 not sure when I would wear it though and I already have quite a few silk shirts. They seem to be selling fast though..
I also won these russell and bromley slipper flats on ebay, www.allwornoutblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/20130821-213943.jpg I have been looking for them for a while after I saw them on one of the worn out bloggers, they did them again this winter in a darker colourway which I didn't like as much. Hope they fit when they arive
One well done on the weight loss, thats amazing.
Agree Lupita looked the best at Baftas also thought Angelina looked good too. Lily Allen awful and Uma should demand her money back.

maradesbois · 17/02/2014 17:51

Hello all,

Brew or rather Wine to all the potty trainers! I have had the daytime cracked for quite a while but not the nights. Probably need to ditch the night time pull up for plastic sheets to discourage accidents but haven't bothered yet.

because love the look of the zara dresses too, am particularly keen on the pale blue one. While I love Zara's cut and shapes the quality often really lets them down so am not going to get anything without seeing first hand.

shop reading your post re moving away from changing bag was going to suggest longchamp le pliage in exactly the size/handle combination you linked. I used a more robust longchamp as my main change bag as couldn't find anything else i liked in the purpose-made change bag lines. I also have a few of these pliages, for me they epitomise the continental 'chic but not try hard' look and are also very practical.
