Blair, lovely top!

Welcome back QueenC, love the white Next blouse in particular.

Turquoise, thanks, yes, I used the bag yesterday and I really like it but it does not hold much more than my wallet and phone. Will be good for night though. DH sniggered at the logo but I ignored him.

Liberty, go tight tight tight with Gap jeans, they stretch. I am going to have to stick mine in the drier to tighten them up again.

I have an old North Face fleece I wear sometimes at home when I am freezing (it's a cold house!), not really something I'd wear out.

As the red bag I was dithering about is selling on ebay, I ordered another Chan Luu scarf, they are so snuggly.

Annianni · 16/02/2014 22:16

Dry I can come and kidnap you if need be?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/02/2014 22:22

Dry that's unfortunate for a sunday night! Wine?

I like that case shop, subtly luxurious and it should protect the phone well. Good choice on the gold, it's the best colour! Your outfit sounds lovely.

liberty I love how your description of tonight's outfit is so detailed, really painted a mental picture there Grin

Drywhiteplease · 16/02/2014 22:25

Grumpy Uma has just WORKED IT!

Mignonette · 16/02/2014 22:45

WTF HAS UMA DONE TO HER FACE?

Apols for shouting but Botox city Shock.

Amy Adams in VB - discreet perfection.
Lupita Nyong'o -so breathtakingly beautiful that I cannot even feel envious. She is off the chain.

Lily Allen- not sure what to think. She's in orange and pink VW.

justasecond · 16/02/2014 22:50

Eveing all. Super busy day today cleaning and cooking dinner for 15! went well but after they left I noticed a massive dark mark on the beige fabric sofa from one of the child visitors jeans then went upstairs to dds rooms to find the light beige carpets with the same dark denim dye all over them Shock I felt like crying. Dd2 said the 2 boys were fighting in her room which explains why the whole of her carpet is covered. When I lifted the small rug in her room the c rpet looks a completely different colour underneath! Not sure what to do there is too much to get the vanish out think I will have to get the carpet cleaner man round.
Welcome back QueenC Love your shopping!
Clothes I cannot be seen out in are ancient primark tracksuit bottoms that I wear for eveything, gardening, decorating, cleaning, they have so many paint/bleach stains on them and should be thrown out but I change into them as soon as I am home for the evening. I also wear my old Zara knitwear at home as it is too bobbled and worn looking to be worn out but feels like it is too good to throw out.
Blair Like that m&s shirt.
Does anyone take coconut oil? Apparently very good for you. See this article (lots of others too) coconut oil benefits I have started having a teaspoon in herbal tea.

Turquoiseblue · 16/02/2014 23:06

Justa - I use it in stir frys sometimes ... And out it on my hair if i have run out of hair masque/ Moroccan oil (for swimming )
Shame about the carpets, would you try the vanish foam stuff you put on it? But the sofa... Oh dear. Have you had it scotch guarded - our sitting room suite was custom made and we had something extra out on it to guard it against spills etc it s been a life saver (still going strong 6 years later - though I m regretting the pattern) if you do manager to get it cleaned off it might be worth seeing if you can get it done on yours. I hope you get it sorted. Maybe someone here will have a solution.....

Love Helen mirren and her speech ..........

Ok bed.

Forgot - clothes I wouldn't go out - not sure - I m often making fashion mistakes ! Possibly my old combat (very baggy multi pocketed) trousers I got when we we re travelling .... Can't throw then away thoughi they have lots of happy memories attached- so I wear them for moving house/ painting walls/ slobbing around - not really embarrassed about them tho ... Do they count ?

Turquoiseblue · 16/02/2014 23:14

Sorry just a - realised my post was probably not at all helpful - x

justasecond · 16/02/2014 23:33

Thanks Turquoise yes scotchguarding makes a big difference. We made sure the sofas in the open plan kitchen dining room we use the most were coated but unforunately these are our older sofas in the sitting room that is only used sometimes. I have spayed the vanish foam but has not worked will have to call out the steam cleaning man. What a pain!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 16/02/2014 23:37

I know mig - Lupita Nyongo'o, Amy Adams & Angelina were my other favourites. Lupita just can do no wrong. At all. She's been perfection at every awards ceremony thus far and I can't imagine that changing. I wonder if anyone asked Angelina for a cup of ice, as I was asked when resplendent in tux at my cousin's wedding. In all seriousness, dude thought I was a waiter. Obviously didn't notice the beaded flapper clutch, chain tassel earrings and f* me shoes Hmm

BecauseIsaidS0 · 17/02/2014 03:29

Lupita - absolute perfection.

Uma is not Uma anymore Sad

As usual, I love Cate Blanchett.

Angelina - sorry, but nope. Does not do it for me at all.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 17/02/2014 03:33

Lily Allen - good dress, bad everything else (hair and makeup)

MarshaBrady · 17/02/2014 05:03

Lupita looks so beautiful in that dress. Perfection indeed.

LinusDKD · 17/02/2014 07:22

Morning!

I had a quick look at some Bafta pictures this morning and I have to say I loved Angelina's tux and Lupita's dress. Both looked like they wore their outfits and not the other way round.

U.Thurman is interesting as she seems to only have two settings clothes-wise: red carpet glamour and everyday casual slob

I just hope she doesn't overdo it with the botox/fillers etc. There are so many beautiful actresses/artists that I just want to scream at "stop messing with your face"

Courtney Cox, Cameron Diaz at one point (she seems to be better at the moment), Kylie (ditto), Catherine Deneuve (French women don't have facelifts, my arse), Meg Ryan, Goldie Hawn, etc

I want to ask them the phone number of their plastic surgeon/dermatologist so I can avoid them if I ever want anything done.

DH has had an interesting morning as his 7 am flight to London got cancelled because of a hijacked plane landing at Geneva airport. It all seems to have ended well but he still hasn't taken off.

SecretSquirrel13 · 17/02/2014 08:04

Dry- pm

QueenCadbury · 17/02/2014 08:20

IMHO lupita definitely looked the best. Cate, Amy and uma should avoid black as it drains them. Lily's dress was too look at me, aren't I fabulous. Didn't like Angelina's but she wore it well. Fearne cotton looked awful.

QueenCadbury · 17/02/2014 08:23

I thought winkleman bafta 2014 claudia looked pretty awful too

shopafrolic · 17/02/2014 09:56

Morning all - I can't get over how different Uma looks. So odd. To me, she doesn't look like Uma with bad surgery, she just looks like someone completely different! I met her IRL at the filming of Russell Brand's MTV show One Leicester Sq a few years back - she was radiant. Such a shame.
No glamour here today, day one of potty training DS. Sad

BecauseIsaidS0 · 17/02/2014 09:56

OMG Zara dresses I want them all

santamarianovella · 17/02/2014 10:31

Angelina looks insanely hot, loved the outfit.

shop best of luck,we mastered potty training last week,Sad,dd peed several times on me,but I was told its much easier with boys,

LinusDKD · 17/02/2014 10:41

So funny santa because everyone tells me girls are easier to potty train!

I think DD is going to want to potty train early as she already comes and indicates to us she wants a nappy change (getting the box of wetwipes and sitting on them, getting the changing mat and sitting on it)

DS took a while to potty train. Number ones were fine almost immediately, number twos took nearly four weeks Hmm but he has finally got the hang of it (Kinder Eggs as bribe works wonders)

LinusDKD · 17/02/2014 10:44

because I love this dress but the colour would wash me out and it is 100% polyester.

Off to look if there are any less plastic dresses.

QueenCadbury · 17/02/2014 11:14

shop I'll be sharing your pain on Thursday when I potty train dd. this time I m going to crack it and not give up like I have the last 3 times!

shopafrolic · 17/02/2014 11:34

So that's 3 accidents so far this morning - one of which was a poo Hmm - I think I need surgical gloves!!
In happier news my Zatchel from AR has arrived and it's fab - a lovely bright orange but not neon - perfect. In not so good fashion news New Balance returns aren't as good as their shipments it seems. Two pairs sent back 6th Feb and still no confirmation of receipt.......

shopafrolic · 17/02/2014 11:36

QueenC good luck - I can feel my patience waning - must not give in.
