Dry, I meant to answer your question. I would wear everything outside! I went a 5 year stint without buying anything "new" and everything i wore were either hand me downs or donated by generous friends, bought new pre- that 5 year period or (a few things) bought in charity shops at the beginning of the 5 year stint. My clothes were falling apart at the end of this 5 years, thankfully grunge was in fashion. After that stint, nothing phases me. I also have no shame and will open my front door in my pjs and curlers!

Having said that I tend to dress nicely even when I am at home. Dh appreciates a nice outfit and gets very touchy feelyWink Today, I am wearing my necklace again even though we aren't going anywhere, I am wearing this helmut lang cowl top and gap high rise skinnies. The top gives a glance of boobs when I lean over and I am wearing burgundy red gossard bra and thong set (sorry for tmi!). Dh keeps getting hot and bothered (I think it's me and not the hangoverHmm) whenever he sees me!

Grumpy the dress is amazing. I felt so sexy in it (pity we got plastered!) and would highly recommend it.

Drywhiteplease · 16/02/2014 12:13

Me:
Hideous fluffy cowl neck dark purple at least the colour is nice fleece from Sainsburys. I wear with pjs and slippers. Sooooo fluffy and cosy. Really disgusting though.
Padded body warmer.

Morning all. After a super intensive week of work then family visitors last night wine and bubbles until 12.30am when I literally fell asleep in the armchair I m absolutely exhausted. Still haven't opened the AR order will have a trying on session later and link. Meantime we re off to visit IL's.
Blair last night s outfit sounds lovely - what zara top?
Anni love the shoe links.
Who wanted the silver pointed flats - j crew have some delectable ones !!! Also spotted a few LK Bennett ones I think in store last week. I think I d like a pair of mid heeled ones in silver or pewter - similar to last seasons whistles ones that are sold out now lesson to self don't pin and dither just buy Grin
Am wearing zara red suede mid heel pointed toe courts with MIH New Yorkers, today like the lookSmile there s a slight flare and high rise on them.
QC lovely to see you back again, and love the links. Especially the WC stuff.
Marsha sounds like you re having lots of fun, so cute about your DS speech. What are the things you only get in Aus (apart from family ) that you look forward to indulging in when you get home?
Shop -- love the iPhone - would love a 5. It s cool the way it had finger print recognition.
Dry - Envy sitting basking in the morning sun sounds just divine.
Umlauf- I love topshop but I get overwhelmed when all the selection and noise and just way too much choice instore. When I shop there it's usually because I m copying something I ve seen on someone or a blog.
Amber - can't see on the phone, but what a fab idea for a present - dh obviously onto a winner there.
Which reminds me - dry - love your pretty diamonds. Have you worn them yet?
Woke up on Friday and dh had made a gift bag filled with a selection of my fave dark chocs, coffee, candle, soaps, champagne - I was so frazzled with work I was nearly teary with his thoughtfulness.
Marade, when do you get the marant ? It s just so lovely.
Decam - belated happy birthday Thanks love the Gucci. Have you used it yet?
Dry -3 days........

santamarianovella · 16/02/2014 13:06

dry I have an old slash (from guns n roses) tee, its cropped and distressed,it leaves very little to the imagination Blush wear it during warmer weather with shorts, even go to bed in it. but I'd be mortified if someone saw me wearing it,we live in a very prim area, lots of drs, lawyers, bankers, and all the ladies are very classically dressed.

And i once salvaged an old above the knee dressing gown, from one of the boxes in my parents house,it belonged to my mum,M&S and must be at lest 30 years old! It looks like a Slavic traditional dress, white with red embroidery, very pretty, and you tie it at the back,I though it was a dress, but she told me its a dressing gown, again I would rather die than be seen wearing it,when dh saw me wearing it for the first time he said I looked like one of those nutters who walk barefoot and talk to trees,
I married a helpless romantic Hmm

shopafrolic · 16/02/2014 13:07

Mine is a SuperDry purple hoodie - it only leaves the house for pilates.
Have just been on a shopping trip but not too exciting.
1st stop the minefield that is carseats. DS is crowning over the top of his type 1 carseat but I don't want to move him onto a type 2 one yet and lose the 5 point harness (he's 3). So stood getting baffled by type 1,2,3 jargon and came away none the wiser. Next time DH is coming too.
I bought some new slippers and a cotton nightdress in JL - why oh why is nightwear so bloody old maidish? Just awful.
And a replacement Dior lipstick.
And last but not least a cover for the iPhone 5s. Not sure whether I got the right thing TBH. Those of you with iPhones how do you / do you protect the screen? All the cases only seem to protect the back and yet so many parents I know have smashed their screens? Any tips?

Drywhiteplease · 16/02/2014 13:24

Shop I have this sort of thing I need a cover that is permanently on and covers the screen because I drop my phone a lot Grin.....agree about night wear.
Turquoise I've worn them every day since I got them.....my pearls are getting upset.
Santa well who would have known?! Shock

santamarianovella · 16/02/2014 13:54

shop I hate iPhone, still mourning the loss of my blackberry, why can't they up their game?

And I agree about nightwear, even the silk lacy stuff looks frumpy, whether it comes from la perla or M&s they all look the same now.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/02/2014 18:26

Evening all - hope everyone had a good weekend. I'm stuffed, have eaten so well the last 2 days! But burned a few calories walking PIL's puppy in the park earlier :) Now watching some ice skating.

shop I have a gold 5S with this case so basically the most bling combo ever. I don't worry about the screen (touch wood) as it's only ever in a pocket in my bag or in my hand/on armrest/bedside table etc. However... no pets or kids and I'm quite careful Wink

Turq it's this Zara top, can recommend!

So yesterday I ventured into M&S and bought this shirt inspired by this Burberry shirt but 1/10 of the price. Want to wear with rolled sleeves like this, naturally. It's 100% poly but really soft and silky.

My slob clothes include a long primark "cashmere touch" cardigan (long cardigans DO NOT suit me but sooo comfy) and a fake version of this sweatshirt Blush

LinusDKD · 16/02/2014 18:58

Evening.

Sitting in my pj's and sans make-up ready to relax after a busy weekend.

dry most of my nightwear are pj's and not silk negligés, but they are still ok-ish to be seen by others.

And I can't think of anything that is so horrible that it is confined for indoor use only.

santa I used to have a Jim Morrison t-shirt that I used to love as a teenager and it was the softest thing ever. I bought it at a stall at a music festival and I thought I was so cool.

DM hated it so she has probably got rid of it when I moved out of the house and left some of my things behind. Sad

OneLittleLady · 16/02/2014 19:33

I don't think I have anything I'm ashamed to be seen in. I'm either dressed in decent clothes or in pj's that cover everything so no accidental flashing!

I forgot to mention, I've put my university application in so everything crossed if you please. It's a waiting game now to see if they let me in!

Channeling the nineties in today's clothes, short denim skirt, black fleece lined tights, a cartoon character t-shirt and a black and red plaid shirt. Was wearing black leather boots when out earlier.

shopafrolic · 16/02/2014 19:48

I've ordered the gold too Blair but have just orderd this case. here.
santa I've always had a BB but they're pulling out of the consumer market so felt I had to switch, and with so many other bits of Apple kit.......
novice so glad you kept that dress it is a stunner.
Just got back from a lovely roast dinner with friends, kids played nicely, very chilled end to the weekend. Wore Paige straight legs, Rosemunde vest, Dagmar sweater in green and taupe Ash Jalouse. Parka and Zara tartan scarf. It's 2 degrees out there now BRRRRRR

libertychick · 16/02/2014 20:53

Sounds like a lovely evening Shop and that you looked great too!

Welcome back QueenC - so pleased you are back. I really like the Next top - going to take a look at it tomorrow.

I love the jumpsuit Grumpy and great article link with it - thanks to that I have just discovered AlliumB - those dresses look very me - like this one

I tried the Gap legging jeans recommended by Decam. On the one hand loved them as I wiggled into a 28 let's just ignore the fact that Gap does vanity sizing but I kept thinking my legs looked like sausages in them. Had DD with me so couldn't linger long in the changing room. Will have another look next week. Great quality.

I'm currently wearing my 'not fit for public viewing outfit'. Fluffy pink slippers with holes in the bottom, white and grey stripe thermal socks, grey thermal 3/4 length leggings (the most unflattering garment ever), blue T-shirt, very bright pink full length Primark fleece dressing gown, hair in a microfibre turban, face plastered in Elmis Papaya mask.

I just told DH about novice and her sexy bra flashes at her DH - he said I should take a few notes Blush Grin

Liberty, Love the sound of your relaxing evening with mask.

Shop, outfit sounds great.

Our friends dropped by unexpectedly (dh told them it was okay) and stayed for hours. Was nice to see them but has obliterated my day.

Drywhiteplease · 16/02/2014 21:04

Novice have just reread last page and am Grin at the image of you in pjs and curlersGrin.... Just need a fag hanging out of your mouth and the picture is complete Grin bet you'd still have some Fab bling on though-

OneLittleLady · 16/02/2014 21:05

I don't look very nice right now either Liberty I've got bright pink Kermit and Miss Piggy pj's on and a huge green warehouse cardigan. Hairs in a messy side bun, oh and I have brown fleece lined slippers on Grin

Drywhiteplease · 16/02/2014 21:07
