And a new door opens...Grin

Strops - could you please ask your dog to pop over and sort out my laptop? He seems to be a bit of a whizz at technology. I'll pay him in Bonios. Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 19/01/2014 01:11

I have just got in from a party in norf Landan and bitch boss was there. ConfusedAngry DH said that she looked like Suzie Quatro's plainer, lesbian sister.

Blackduck · 19/01/2014 07:09

Stropps I thought I was losing it there with the repost!!

MrsS noooooo - that's so not on - hope you avoided her!

I went light shopping - well I stood in John Lewis and stared at the one ds likes, and think I have located lights for the living room too..... The bottom of the house will be lovely, the bathroom from hell remains...

Then lovely dinner with mum and dad - mum very doddery now, it's sad as she also had so much energy and moved so fast. Waiting on bros biopsy - he had two lumps removed - one they had tested, the other they hadn't (further in I think) so fingers crossed.

CV - yes to checking and not taking chances - it doesn't necessarily build - knew someone who went from minor reaction to full shock (curry on brick lane - luckily close to Hospital), he now has an epipen.

motherinferior · 19/01/2014 10:50

DP is in one of his dictatorial cleaning and tidying phases. I would find this easier to deal with if he wasn't so bloody untidy the rest of the time and so martyred now. Angry

OP posts:
Blackduck · 19/01/2014 11:08

MI dp does this - everything gets put away and the house takes on a positively zen-like air, but the downside is we can't find anything.....

Sorry for double post - on train!

BTW - liked your boots on Friday - where did you get them?

addle · 19/01/2014 11:58

thank you everyone for complimentary comments on skirt. am especially pleased as it was first outing, and was quite nervous about it. massively complimented that you have got it too, QQ

cv - that sounds terrifying, just add my voice to everyone saying you really must get tested so that you are prepared

mrs s - noooo. did she see you? did you have to chat?

bit wobbly. got back from party at 4.30; attempts to dance with DH hampered by DD getting embarrassed and planting herself BETWEEN us as though she was still 3.

herbaceous · 19/01/2014 12:00

Mine is also on the rampage. Must be something in the air. To give him his due, he is pretty tidy most of the time. I'm the messy bugger. But he always had the martyred air of 'the only one who EVER does any cleaning round here', conveniently forgetting who does the everyday stuff, all the dusting, the bathroom, the cooking, the shopping, throwing away recycleable items that otherwise get left on the side, removing the 24 bottles of milk with half a millilitre left in the bottom....

herbaceous · 19/01/2014 12:00

I also want that skirt. What size is yours Addle? I think I'll need the size up!

bigTillyMint · 19/01/2014 12:22

addleGrin And much admiration for your staying power - 4.30am?[shock]

Can I swap those of you with house-tidying DP's please?Smile

Maybe it should be the new crepey skirt... off to peruse!

beachyhead · 19/01/2014 12:52

I need a link to the skirt! Was it the one QQ linked to, or different? I liked that one as well. BTM, you categorically do not want a manic tidying dh. Mine drives me berserk!

Even wet clothes drying on a radiator get put away damp as he can't bear them lying around. Muddy clothes drying in the kitchen get swept up with clean clothes and put away... Nuts Shock

addle · 19/01/2014 12:53

herbs, mine is a 10 but v stretchy

btm - on a boring note do you know which exam board for maths? and i am so so so tired i can't see straight

QueenQueenie · 19/01/2014 13:24

here is addle's skirt... gold and bargainous... looked much better in rl (or maybe just on addle!). if we all buy one we would be quite scary on another night out...

bigTillyMint · 19/01/2014 13:49

Yes the muddy clothes with clean would be annoying!

I think it's edexcel addle.

Does it actually shed gold like the review says?

bigTillyMint · 19/01/2014 13:51

And DD has now tried on the ski gear which she seemed to think fitted, phew!

motherinferior · 19/01/2014 14:13

BTM, I have some nice winter facial sunscreen from beauty hack friend if you'd like it for skiing - it's intended for that kind of thing!

OP posts:
addle · 19/01/2014 15:40

hasn't shed gold yet BTM but is lying in a heap at the end of my bed, i'm afraid, so don't really know (it's been that sort of w/e). thanks for the edexcel info.

Blackduck · 19/01/2014 16:19

QQ I had you done as a monochrome lady so I am finding the gold skirt Shock
But yes we could all turn up in it with the crepey woolovers jumper Wink
(I have no sartorial elegance!)
Addle looked fab - I'd look terrible....

BTM the problem with manic tidying other halves ( in my experience) is that it's is random - they don't do it on a consistent regular basis....

Blackduck · 19/01/2014 16:27

I guess for £7 you wouldn't care if it shed gold Grin

I have a pile of clothes on my floor (but not a glamorous gold skirt in sight) - does that count

MI, that would be wonderfully kind of you! We would need a mini-meet to hand it over?Smile

BD I thought you looked lovely on Friday night in your outfit (but I do have a thing for grey jumpers!)

Just been to see 12 years a slave. Harrowing. Glad DS refused DH's invitation to join us - not a teen in the cinema, and it was rammed.
