Liberty another here who never noticed……..

shopafrolic · 04/12/2013 18:38

Dry you have no need of assistance either

carrie74 · 04/12/2013 19:39

Love the boots decam.

Thank you all for your honest opinions, think you're right: either the Misfits are too big or the shape just doesn't work on me so well. Have pinned a couple more times tonight, but thinking of keeping the Lure (or maybe returning all and waiting for a 28).

Have also just received my 2 Baukjen skirts: one straight black pencil, one black ruched. The straight black looks totally office-ready, but even in a 12 feels uncomfortable against my (just fed) stomach. The ruched is much more relaxed, more "me", but I wonder if a bit too thin (compared with Me&Em ruched dresses). What says MNV on Baukjen?

AmberNectarine · 04/12/2013 20:18

I've got the Baukjen skirt Carrie - I find it great for work and wear it all the time. I like the Misfits best but the Lures are also lovely on you.

QueenCadbury · 04/12/2013 20:41

Anyone have any ideas where to get a cath kidston type cross body satchel bag (a4 size)? Dd would like one but I'm not playing CK prices. Have tried Nikki and James and paperchase. Anywhere else...?

Drywhiteplease · 04/12/2013 20:47

Look in t K Maxx QC they had some a few weeks ago....will have a look

LinusDKD · 04/12/2013 20:51

Just back from a lovely dinner with a friend. Great chat without being interrupted by the DC!

Equipment shirt (no spills!), TS skinnies and Colts (which are still a b&£*h to drive in).

Felt great and DH said I looked good and wanted to know who I was getting dressed up for. Xmas Wink

Drywhiteplease · 04/12/2013 20:53

Loads on Ebay, search "oilcloth satchels"

QueenCadbury · 04/12/2013 21:00

Thanks dry. I've just looked and there are a couple. I'm heading to the retail park where it is tomorrow so I'll see if they have my in. I don't do eBay.

shopafrolic · 04/12/2013 21:28

Just back from Pilates. Catching up on the Liberty of London programme (I didn't get to watch it that night). Was surprised to see David Bowie on the Vuitton ad!

QueenCadbury · 04/12/2013 21:39

one just found this and thought of you [smille]

libertychick · 04/12/2013 22:46

Oh Shop I just watched the Liberty programme tonight too. The mad haberdashery ladies made me smile - I go there and buy wool once or twice a year and it always take me ages to choose and they stand there rolling their eyes at me! I jokingly said the last time that I can't be the only one who takes that long and they both said I'm above average for indecision.

BTW Sleep I went for a run today! Felt v good, my regime of walking and yoga has kept me fitter than I realised. Was so buzy when i got back I did a few sets of squats, sit ups and press ups Smile

Sleepwhenidie · 04/12/2013 22:58

Woo hoo, go Lib! Careful, you'll be as hooked as Marsha... a good thing btw Grin

I just watched the 1st Liberty programme on catch up too, made me want to go - probably the desired effect! Loved Manolo Blahnik, swoon at those shoes! The ultimate heels, no question.

libertychick · 04/12/2013 23:04

Yep, TV marketing - I am going through diary to see when I could sneak in a visit to the Christmas shop - I NEED some gorgeous new tree ornaments.
And oh yes, the shoes - wow.

Annianni · 05/12/2013 07:48

I want to go to Liberty too :o

Thanks for the good wishes re appt.
Trying not to think about it, but will report back afterwards x

Awful weather forecast for us today, and dh is driving across to Leeds [scared]

Annianni · 05/12/2013 07:51

Exercise wise, I've done 10 miles a day on the exercise bike since Sunday except for Tuesday when I only managed 3.1

Drywhiteplease · 05/12/2013 07:51

I was watching in bed at the same time......those shoes are exquisite and so delicate, loved MB with his white gloves and apron, looked like a mad scientist!

Think I may take off today...it's horrendous outside. Would love the wind to whip me up and drop me right outside Liberty though Xmas Smile

QueenCadbury · 05/12/2013 08:08

Windy here too.

Ds got into bed with me at 4 and I'm so glad he did as I ordered the red sequin cardi. It's not available now so thank goodness for small children! I also had a 20% off voucher that worked so v happy. I ordered an xs and s as not sure what I will need so will have a spare size if anyone will want it from me...?

shopafrolic · 05/12/2013 08:17

I might have to pay a visit on Saturday I think. I normally buy a bauble a year from Harrods as part of the run up to Christmas but the tradition may have to move store.
V windy here too - DH is just about to take the dogs for a walk - I think our little spaniel may struggle!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 05/12/2013 08:33

Not happy. Had an email at 6.05 this morning from Banana Republic introducing the L'Wren Scott collection and the sequin cardigan is already gone in the red. Grrrrr

OneLittleLady · 05/12/2013 09:23

QueenC I'm sure I should be ashamed of myself but I would love that Zippy bag!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 05/12/2013 09:29

QueenC I've never been jealous of someone for being woken up at 4am before, but I am now.

QueenCadbury · 05/12/2013 09:36

I knew you would one!

grumpy I think you're smaller then me? If I need the s then you could have the xs.

OneLittleLady · 05/12/2013 10:00

Terribly windy here, it's driving the cat mad! She's tearing round from room to room looking for somewhere to hide.

MarshaBrady · 05/12/2013 10:30

I shall be buying a bauble or two from Liberty. Love their Christmas shop, so gorgeous.
