eww, totally agree with you amber Grin

McNally · 02/09/2013 21:06

Those v neck t shirts, usually with contrasting trim, and superfluous buttons up the neckline. Urgh, cannot bear them!

Hello all!

Well done Mr One. So sweet.

QueenCadbury · 02/09/2013 21:07

foxy what have I missed?

Agree with skinny jeans and flip flops. But not the 3/4 length cargo trousers Grin

OneLittleLady · 02/09/2013 21:09

oooh, I also dislike those jumpers with the false t-shirt bit in them. They are so pointless, just wear a t-shirt and a jumper! Dp's somehow disappeared never to be seen again Grin

LinusDKD · 02/09/2013 21:10

Before I go to bed I leave you with men wearing crocs

santamarianovella · 02/09/2013 21:16

linus only jack nickolson can get away with crocs, because he is jack nickolson, the rest yuck!

dh owns flip flops, nice ones, and it was a really hot summer Blush

AmberNectarine · 02/09/2013 21:21

My DH has a brown suede jacket. I have not yet managed to throw it out but he has not worn it since we moved in together.

MarshaBrady · 02/09/2013 21:23

Yes dh has some deeply dubious things that are best forgotten.

BrandyAlexander · 02/09/2013 21:30

Linus, I hadn't seen that plaid connection Grin

Mominatrix · 02/09/2013 21:33

Anni : have your fingers survived all of the clothes labelling? I have permanent callous from my pre indelible marker and iron-on days. Countdown to peace and quiet is on!

Lucky shop. Already experience the peace and quiet of back-to-school/nursery!

Love the boots Linus! Those boots definitely ge the Avid&Wise (R.I.P) buy award. Can't see the dark brown and purple, cut I LOVE that colour combo.

Eeek shop - what were the designers of that thing on when they came up with that idea?

21 pairs of jeans Turquoise? None binned?

Welcome to Kalidasa, Spotty and needastrongone. Kali, don't go bra shopping yet - my boobs did not settle until 2 years after the birth of my second - not helped by the fact that I breastfed for 18 months.

Beautiful dress QueenCadbury - love that colour blue, and the cut is fantastic.

Sleep, love the Iro jacket - do you know if it comes in black?

What a thoughtful husband you have OneLittleLady!

When I met DH, he had several pairs of leather trousers. Those were quickly "lost" in his next move. Now his style, if you can call it that, is conservative and boring, yet he takes up triple the wardrobe and shelf space I do! 3 closets of clothes which look exactly the same.

Busy day tomorrow as DS1 is back at school and I need to finalise all the bits and bobs for DS2's uniform for Thursday. Counting down the days until I can exercise again. Night all!

MarshaBrady · 02/09/2013 21:38

Not style, but I saw a really good dc film the other day. Wreck it Ralph, really good.

Also have some meetings coming up. I can feel my brain crank slowly back into shape after the laziest summer holidays. Still, will pay for the Sam Edelman boots.

Shop did your Vince jumper turn up?

MarshaBrady · 02/09/2013 21:45

So what coat/s is everyone planning to wear this a/w?

shopafrolic · 02/09/2013 21:48

Not yet Marsha hopefully tomorrow. Saw your PM -will count tomorrow and RSVP

shopafrolic · 02/09/2013 21:49

Good one Shop, thanks so much for organising.

Sleepwhenidie · 02/09/2013 22:02

How many are we up to Shop?

Mom I don't think the IRO jacket comes in black but this one is lovely, what size do you need? May be worth watching for returns if not there at the mo.

Ds1 has a/b's. Really hope they kick in and allow us both to sleep tonight, I feel like a zombie.

Welcome strongone Smile

shopafrolic · 02/09/2013 22:13

About 10 I think. Will double check tomorrow. Night all.

Back to work today but no kids until tomorrow it's so inconvenient, really does mess up my MN time!!Grin
Shop coffee in peace is blissful isn't it? Can you link Vince, must have missed it earlier? I think I need the Valentino vest, might give me a décolletage !
Linus another photo !!! DVN boots are lovely.
Sleep welcome home.
QueenC I really love the blue dress, sexy shoulders, fab colour. If you can't treat yourself for a big birthday when can you? I'm a bit dress biased, and I'm never knowingly underdressed I know, but imagine if you turned up to your party and felt a bit meh, it would be such a shame and would spoil your special occasion. Keep looking and you will find the right thing.........

Hello Spotty Kali and Needsastrongone fab name

Clothes I hate on men;

Yes skinny jeans...ugggh
Crocs on anyone over 5 look horrific .
Polo necks. DH was wearing a kind of ski base layer one when I met him, good job I'd had a lot of Wine and focused on his derrière
Weirdly coloured golf trousers and harlequin jumpers.
Plus fours.
Vest tops.
Very pointy slip ons that my DS desperately wanted as school shoes....no bloody way Rumplestiltskin
Socks with sandals,deck shoes etc.
Loafers with tassels.
Anything novelty......
Not overly keen on black shirts/grey tie combo flame me
Shiny suits.
And last, but not least, men driving with hats on.....very very bad and usually dangerous!

MarshaBrady · 02/09/2013 22:25

Oh yes 'estate agent' shoes- those really pointy, shiny long ones.

MarshaBrady · 03/09/2013 07:08

QueenC I really like the dress, lovely colour. Agree that you should get something wonderful for your party that makes you feel great.

Spottybra · 03/09/2013 07:33

Whispers- ds starts reception this afternoon. Half days all week to ease them into the school and familiarise them all. Just for fun can anyone link me to the current mumsnet scarf so I can cast my eye around over the next few days?

Sleepwhenidie · 03/09/2013 07:39

Sorry Spotty, we can help you with an orange MNV jumper and a MNV t shirt (was it Zoe Karsen or Wang Confused) but I'm not up to speed on the MN scarf of the season Grin - anyone else? Where are you in the country btw?

Drywhiteplease · 03/09/2013 07:51

spotty think the old MN scarf is still in circulation. Hope DS 's first day goes well.....

Spottybra · 03/09/2013 07:53

I'm 'oooop norf'. Yorkshire. Although pleased to admit the only people I know that speak Yorkshire are my in laws. By Yorkshire I mean 'off t'park' sort of thing which makes me smile as I have never heard it before. Certainly do not want dc picking it up though as DS wishes to be a doctor (some of my best friends are doctors so he may have been influenced slightly by playing with their stethoscopes and having lunch with them in the hospital cafeteria).

Drywhiteplease · 03/09/2013 08:00

Spotty think there may be some v decent doctors with Yorkshire accents Shock
