How did the coat hunt go Marsha or have I missed it?

OP posts:
LinusDKD · 31/08/2013 19:45

another scarf for one

According to the original scarf topic:

Not that I am an enabler, oh no.

Dire Shop. Well the Burberry store was overwhelmingly large and had so little stock. I asked to try three on, and they didn't have them. Tried a couple but was getting grumpy and hot. The guy had to scroll through the entire Burberry website to find the pic and usually it wasn't available. In in 2 - 4 weeks apparently. Four floors of coats! It's not like they stock much else.

So when I go back I'm sticking to Liberty. Liberty is a lovely shopping experience and they can have my £.

OTH I think if you were to buy Burberry it would be lovely to get it from NaP etc. And they stock the best ones anyway.

OneLittleLady · 31/08/2013 19:57

Very nice linus that link is on it's way to DP Grin

shopafrolic · 31/08/2013 19:57

That's a shocker Marsha. Still, boots sorted, love the colour.
Is it bad that I'm looking at my shiny new MacBook and thinking I could have 3 pairs of Pistols? Ungrateful cow!

marsha Interesting,I think stores nowadays are relaying on Internet shopping. I went to the matches branch in marylebone ,a few days a go,and almost every thing I inquired about was only available online or at Wimbledon,
Did you go to the bond street one?

MarshaBrady · 31/08/2013 20:05

Ah I don't know Shop, I probably be the same!

Yep, I'll probably still get another lot too. Need more than one these days, non-suede maybe.

Love that scarf Linus, bargainous.

Umlauf I went up from a 39 to 40, but maybe it was my second pg that did it!

Santa the huge new Regent St one, they had everything under the sun. Just not a simple navy peacoat. Or the wool/cashmere one I wanted.

I'll go back to Liberty for the coat.

MarshaBrady · 31/08/2013 20:05

I'd

MarshaBrady · 31/08/2013 20:08

Matches are bad too. If I go in for something I try to ring first these days.

Also the worst thing, they don't refund! Only store credit! But do online.

shopafrolic · 31/08/2013 20:13

Ouch! That's naughty. I'll stick with online (not that I make many purchases from Matches!)

shopafrolic · 31/08/2013 20:19

OneLittleLady · 31/08/2013 20:21

shopafrolic · 31/08/2013 20:25

Fingers crossed Marsha Grin
Lurkers - I must sound awful. Not feeding DS for Pistols, ungrateful about MacBook. I'm lovely really!

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 31/08/2013 20:26

I'm going to do one last look on Bond St, so Stella M and may as well swing by the Burberry (I know, but I think it was just the Regent St one I loathed, too big).

Some thing about a dinner party One where pom bears were served.

I can vouch for your loveliness Shop! Top drawer.

santamarianovella · 31/08/2013 20:28

O yes shop,he will forget!

shopafrolic · 31/08/2013 20:28

marsha I am terribly over enthusiastic about stuff, aren't I? sorry! i thought that when I wore the rag and bone biker last week, it stil gives me a total thrill it's so perfect. same with the j crew denim jacket. useful basics that make you feel amazing are really worth the investment.

foxysocks · 31/08/2013 20:46
