Funnily enough, one of the loveliest bra's I have ever had came from a branch of Roys! It was cotton, in a kind of Gossard Glossies mesh and slightly pearlised. It gave me the shape I have tried in vain to replicate ever since. Weird as it was cheap as chips.

Bu ze boots Foxy....They last and last.

Foxy, who's your style stalker?

Report
Annianni · 14/08/2013 17:27

Love that top Liberty, have you ordered it?

Did you manage to sneak to the shops at the weekend?

What is a style stalker?

Report
Negroni · 14/08/2013 17:51

foxy ah did not see that bit about the style stalker. Please buy the boots and link and then we can all admire! Mig am presuming a style stalker is someone who observes what you buy and want to buy and then snaps it up! And then dresses identically to you!

Ooh Foxy a style stalker, how exciting annoying. Do you know who it is? Tempted to pin something truly hideous?

Report
Drywhiteplease · 14/08/2013 18:03

Oh and are slipper style flats done or should I buy some for A/W?

Don't think I'm likely to be style stalked Smile...

Am back at work tomorrow Sad so having to put brain into work clothing mode. God knows what the weather'll be like and I can have quite a long commute and loads of driving or walking about in the day too.

Guess it'll be pants or skirt. And capacious bag for all the crap essentials I have to cart about. I can tell my working life from the state of the hems of my tops and side pockets of pants/skirts. All the stuff I used to wear on the ward has holes and damage from attaching the personal alarm onto clothing. It was quite heavy and wrecked havoc on fabric especially when I ran. Lanyard crocodile clips were not secure enough so had to be a safety pin. Have really messed up clothing that I'd otherwise still wear to smart occasions.

Dry am coming to the conclusion that nothing is ever done.... brogues, wedge trainers, wedges in general, leopard print. In my (not very valuable) opinion the slipper style goes on! I like these though sadly out of my price range Shock

Anni I haven't ordered it (yet!) I did a quick tally up on all the things I would like to buy and it comes to £1800 - yikes!!! That's not happening then.

Shop you are such a fusspot Grin

I didn't sneak out to the shops at the weekend. But I did a big on-line order for collection at Debenhams this weekend - 5 bikini's, some shorts and sandals - I won't keep it all but hoping I'll get the holiday essentials.

Dry I have decreed that slippers shall remain 'in' until mine fall apart and I need new shoes and I am the queen of these things you know Wink

dry as the ever wise Travelincolour said to me - slippers are the ballet flats for those of us who could never have been ballerinas.

Report
AmberNectarine · 14/08/2013 18:36

But then I have about 5 pairs.

MarshaBrady · 14/08/2013 19:03

I'm not suited to slipper flats. I tend to slop about in them and look like Olive from On The Buses. I'm not a neat enough dresser to suit them. They look lovely on everybody else.

Report
foxysocks · 14/08/2013 19:17

I can't do slippers either. i like them on others but not me. and although I have two pairs of ballerinas they rarely get worn, for me it is all about the pointed flat

the style stalker is a mum on the SR who I am SURE lurks here and/or on the other forum i frequent. she keeps showing up in stuff posted, sometimes quite obscure pieces. i have no wish to own identikit clothes, hence trying to be a little more careful about what i link.

Lived very close to Roysville I mean Wroxham, many years ago as an expat, even then it was very quaint, used to spend hours pottering, pre DCs!

Oh Foxy we could have some fun with that...Grin Grin Grin....What could we post as 'your latest purchase'?

Report
Drywhiteplease · 14/08/2013 19:45

Do it Foxy could cause max confusion.
Can't do pointed flats sadly due to wide feet .........

Maybe a gorgeous gilet for the SR?

Which could be worn with this tasteful skirt which would look amazing with the shoes that Marsha linked above :o
