MI but you are going to that fabby looking cottage! (sure it will be great!)

We are off loading ds to in-laws for a week tomorrow (I am still working and dp has stuff he needs to do...unfortuantely we couldn't convince them to take the dog again :) )

motherinferior · 09/08/2013 10:24

I have lured a friend out to lunch with me Grin. She is the lovely one whose little girl died - the anniversary was on Sunday Sad - so there is some purpose in doing this too.

motherinferior · 09/08/2013 10:30

Though mostly greed and laziness, it must be admitted Grin

Blackduck · 09/08/2013 11:48

That must be so hard, I can't imagine how it must feel to lose a child.

motherinferior · 09/08/2013 12:11

No. It is, for good reason, literally beyond imagining.

Stropperella · 09/08/2013 13:00

Beachy, glad to hear your experience of the NHS was more positive than mine from last w/e and I wish your dad a speedy recovery. It does indeed seem the best thing not to tell your sibs, as things have quietened down again.

Crem, I'm very sorry to hear your dh has had a relapse. Hope he feels better again very soon.

Looks like dd will have to stay in France until the end of the month, as I had to take the dog for an unplanned and expensive vet trip today. He has a golf-ball-sized cyst that has finally decided to start to ooze and therefore requires removal. It could have waited until next month.. I can't now really afford to go to St Malo to pick dd up, so she will have to stay camping in France until the other family come home. She is currently in Montpellier and having a whale of a time as the family she is with have met up with another big family from our town and they are now a gang of 3 teens and have even more freedom. Hmm I am not Envy at all of loafing in a bikini in the South of France, oh no.

We had cheery news from the NHS this week: dh's latest blood test results are showing the kind of levels they would expect on average 4 years down the line from the op he had to treat his prostate cancer - after just one year. Things are looking as good as they possibly could do and he is now on 6-monthly reviews rather than 3-monthly.

Blackduck · 09/08/2013 14:43

Oh Stropps Fab news! (re dh if not the other stuff!)!

beachyhead · 09/08/2013 16:11

That is top news, StroppsGrin

motherinferior · 09/08/2013 16:13

Stropps, that is fabGrin

QueenQueenie · 09/08/2013 16:21

Phew stropps. That must be a huge relief for you all.
Good weekends crepesters. Off to (sunny??) suffolk tomorrow for a couple of weeks. Woohoo! Can you tell I'm excited?

motherinferior · 09/08/2013 16:22

I am surrounded by pants. I really should put them in the suitcase.

Blackduck · 10/08/2013 06:58

Herbs seen the convo on FB ha ha :)

You need to live a little ;)

Happy travelling crepeys who are off to various destinations today.

bigTillyMint · 10/08/2013 08:34

Fantastic news Stropps. And that your DD is enjoying herself.

Yes happy hols to all Crepeys off on hol Smile

I hope for your sakes that it is just our teens who are stroppy selfish, argumentative and downright difficult on holiday. Still 2 days till our friends arrive (and hopdfully their behaviour improves) - will I survive?Angry

herbaceous · 10/08/2013 10:10

BD - you are fanning the flames on FB! I'm thinking of removing the photo for the sake of family harmony...

PS - great news strops! And poor you crem. Do check in to let us know you're ok.

MrsSchadenfreude · 10/08/2013 10:15

Which of you is the glamour puss that has sent me a friend request on FB, please? Smile

Fab news, Stropps, are you going to have a celebratory drink? Speaking of drink, I have a friend staying, and I need to remind myself constantly that I really can't keep up with her and shouldn't try...

House is in chaos. If I trip up and catch my little toe in the spiral binding of Betty Crocker's "Dinner Parties" once more, the air will be blue.

Blackduck · 10/08/2013 10:21

Herbs :)

But it is just plain wrong!!! (Can't bear the way all that sweetie crap has infiltrated yogurts, breakfast cereal etc etc)

MrsS won't be me, I'm a dog ;)

herbaceous · 10/08/2013 11:49

Glamour puss has to be ruby! She too is a dog, profile-picture-wise...

beachyhead · 10/08/2013 14:50

Sorry, tis me Mrs S Wink I'm very slow at piecing together all the Crepeys!!

QueenQueenie · 10/08/2013 16:17

Is that what unites us then, dog profile pics on FB? How odd. I'm a pug puppy (not in rl you understand).

herbaceous · 10/08/2013 16:18

I have a picture of me, but with luxuriant ginger moustache.

Blackduck · 10/08/2013 17:47

QQ need find you on FB, but need real name ;)

QueenQueenie · 10/08/2013 17:59

will pm you BD... but honestly I just never use facebook so you'll be very unimpressed when you do find me. What am I missing??

QueenQueenie · 10/08/2013 18:01

Did you grow it specially Herbs?

motherinferior · 10/08/2013 18:58

Greetings from Normandy!

House is lovely. However we have as ever arrived with minimal foodstuffs (as DP had the car I couldn't do pre-holiday supermarket dash)...and more to the point we should really have checked if it had towels.

Ahem Grin

herbaceous · 10/08/2013 19:35

You can always dry yourselves on your plentiful pant supply.

QQ - my moustache was merely the result of a week without tweezers.
