I am screaming in frustration at DD1's school. They have hundreds of online forms to complete - the vast majority of which we sent them in hard copy, at their insistence, in June. This is not enough, all of the medical details have to be completed online too. Unfortunately, you can't just input dates of illnesses and vaccines, you have to use their silly little calendar, which won't go back beyond 2010, and if you go back to 2010 it puts it in a tizzy and it says "error, timed out." It also won't accept just a mobile number for emergency contacts, it insists on a home phone as well (and vice versa). So won't let me just put in a home number for my mother, or a mobile number for DBIL, and just rejects all information you have put in, meaning you are faced with an empty form when you go back to it. It is all or nothing. We also need 4 emergency contacts and I don't have four. I am tempted to ask my second cousin, as she lives near the school, but DD1 doesn't know her well.

motherinferior · 01/09/2013 18:10

Put me. As fourth. You can always change it later!

MrsSchadenfreude · 01/09/2013 18:38

Thank you MI! (But not sure I have your home phone number! Grin)

I am now really cross with DH. I opened his drawers (fnarr) to clean them, and three of them are completely full of clothes. I am not sure how I am going to get everything back now. Sad I don't need the stress of all this extra stuff to pack and the inconvenience and expense of going out to get another suitcase.

motherinferior · 01/09/2013 18:43

Bin bags? Will text you land line

motherinferior · 01/09/2013 18:44

Or do the QQ approachGrin

herbaceous · 01/09/2013 18:45

Bonfire? He might not even miss them if he's left them behind so carelessly. Twat.

QueenQueenie · 01/09/2013 18:47

What was he thinking??!!! Really? I would be pretty hopping mad Mrs S. As you rightly say, it's too much. By the way why can't he sort out the bleeding forms for school? Can you tell I'm feeling very militant on your behalf?

QueenQueenie · 01/09/2013 18:47

Concisely but beautifully put Herbs. Twat indeed.

herbaceous · 01/09/2013 19:02

Or: 'Oh dear. I didn't open that particular chest of drawers.'

MrsSchadenfreude · 01/09/2013 19:02

I am thinking charity bin for the clothes... Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 01/09/2013 19:03

He can't do the bloody forms as he has no internet in London yet. It is also a case of me thinking, well if I do it, at least I know it's done...

bigTillyMint · 01/09/2013 19:11

Oh no, MrsS! I like Herbs' idea/commentWink

Cremolafoam · 01/09/2013 19:21

Grr mrsS
What would happen if you didn't do the forms? Phone them tomorrow and tell them you are unable to complete online forms ATM as you are between houses.
Let them fret about it. Do they have an emergency number already ? Yes of course they do.
As for dh's tat. Bin bags or bonfire is about right . How are you getting them back to London - by car?
Or plane?
I'd be inclined to ship them v e r y slowly via La Poste.Smile
Wish I could help in a practical way

Yep wot Cremo said. They aren't going to refuse DD2 on account of a few forms!

herbaceous · 01/09/2013 19:33

You're paying, right? Well then, they can wait, or find the original forms.

I'm feeling very stroppy pissed tonight.

Blackduck · 01/09/2013 19:40

Blimey MrsS I'm seething on your behalf. Don't take his stuff back - he's taking the piss. Seriously - are you a pack horse!
And re school everyone is right - just say you are mid houses and can't complete this stuff at the moment...

Blackduck · 01/09/2013 19:42

MrsS there are Internet places in London...... He CAN do the forms...

Wot Crem and Herbs said. Honestly, malfunctioning online forms give me the absolute rage. No-one to shout at, that's the problem.

Anyway, it's 9pm, and the house is vibrating with the sound of over-excited 10yo girls, high on pizza and chocolate fondue, here for DD2's birthday. DH and I have taken refuge in the (now thankfully wasp-free) study and donned earplugs. We all went ice-skating earlier, and I'm delighted to say that I was the only one who stayed upright the whole time.

My orders are to get up early tomorrow to cook pancakes, then I will be dragging my three to Kingston later in the day for lastminute.com school shopping. Can't wait.

Blackduck · 01/09/2013 21:30

I am back at work tomorrow. Have just started the epic Lord of the Rings (special extended edition) saga with ds - god give me strength.....
I have also seen the Plan from our new Dean - I think I may need to look for a new job...

MrsSchadenfreude · 01/09/2013 21:33

He maintains he did tell me he still has stuff in his drawers. And also said that his clothes must be "barely a suitcase". The dryer was also full of his stuff. I have just weighed the suitcases - they are too heavy (they can't weigh more than 30kg per piece) and we are nearly up to our limit. I really don't see how I can get all of this stuff back. I will just have to take back two suitcases. Oh and did I mention the huge pile of papers that he needs me to send back to UK? It is literally too heavy to lift. And his office phone.

I am not going into the office tomorrow - I need to go and get another suitcase and sort all this mess out.

herbaceous · 01/09/2013 21:45

I'm sure you could find a suitably slow courier to take his shit home. Parcels2go have proved remarkably reasonable. Though I still advocate an unfortunate conflagration.

bigTillyMint · 01/09/2013 21:51

MrsS, twat is too kind a name. Is he always like this?Shock

beachyhead · 01/09/2013 21:58

Might be cheaper to book a budget Eurostar ticket to get him to pick it all up!

Cremolafoam · 01/09/2013 22:03
