Morning. Good to see i've started a pop sock trend Grin

liberty my kids love to wobble my "jelly belly" too. I miss running but after 3 pregnancies with SPD my back isn't what it used to be and it hurts too much to run now. I have to stick to power walking nowadays.

Gap have 20% off full price stuff today online only.

MarshaBrady · 28/03/2013 07:24

It's lovely to swish out the door sometimes. Leave breakfast, cleaners, dc dressing to dh.

Also love wearing ballet flats again. The Whistles snakeskin ones are great. Will change at place.

shopafrolic · 28/03/2013 07:29

Good luck Marsha - hope it's something you really want x

Grin pop socks on Vogue! This is great!!!

Annianni · 28/03/2013 07:32

Pop socks!? Ooh no....

I need to double check what time ds1 finishes school today, then I'll go on the boot hunt if Office still won't answer the phone.
Probably won't get to look in many shops, depends what sort of mood ds2 is in.

Are there any other Atterley Road codes about?
The last one worked on sale, but the Ocado one didn't last night.

Annianni · 28/03/2013 07:33

Good luck Marsha

MarshaBrady · 28/03/2013 07:45

Try SHARE2013 see if it still works £20 off.

Good morning ladies....I found this thread some weeks ago and posted couple of times but RL is getting in my way atm and I haven't been here much. Wonder if I could ask some advice please as you are obviously all very stylish...
I really need some trousers for a holiday abroad next week. I usually only wear jeans but my parents won't appreciate taking us to a smart hotel and me being in jeans all week however gorgeous the jeans are!!

I don't know where to start. Most of my clothes are from Donna Ida and they only (obviously!) have jeans. Help!! I'm 5'3 and size 10 (sometimes 12). Prefer flats (knee issue).

My budget is probably around £150 ish. Really like the pyjama type but I don't want to look like I am actually in my pyjamas!

I can spend Saturday in Westfield (white city) but just as happy to order online too!

Thank you so much in advance! x

BrandyAlexander · 28/03/2013 07:53

Good luck Marsha!

BrandyAlexander · 28/03/2013 07:56

Hi Jenny, My first thought would be banana republic? V preppy holiday stuff suitable for parentsWink they have fantastic fits. I think Martin style from memory would suit you?

Sleepwhenidie · 28/03/2013 08:32

Hi Jenny do you have anything specific in mind?

There are some gorgeous printed trousers around this season this kind of thing

or would you prefer plainer

or looser?

I've gone for Zara for an idea of styles you might like, don't worry, if you want more expensive you can rely on everyone here to find that too - at best possible price of course Wink.

Let us know preferences re colours etc too, what kind of tops you have/like.

foxysocks · 28/03/2013 08:38

hi jenny! welcome. my friend just ordered this and emailed me to tell me how great they were - www.meandem.com/collection/bottoms/soft-tailored-ankle-trouser/products_id/1442/cPath/876_884_934

there's usually a code for me&em floating around and you can get cashback through quidco

agree zara worth a look - I have some wide leg pinstripes from there in cotton which are almost 10 yrs old and still look great.

foxysocks · 28/03/2013 08:38

good luck today marsha x

Annianni · 28/03/2013 08:49

Thanks Marsha, the codes are working on full price items only.
Spoilsports! :o

AmberNectarine · 28/03/2013 08:58

Don't worry novice my youthful looking husband often gets told he lacks gravitas so it's not a sexist issue. I get told at every appraisal that I'm too scary and juniors won't approach me! I'm not scary!!

jenny99 · 28/03/2013 09:03

Thank you for all the suggestions so far...

Don't want to be critical but if I'm not you won't know what I 'need'!!

Prefer more fitted...love the shape of the banana r ones and the Zara fitted. Def better than the wider ones. Really love the pink Zara ones and also really like the printed ones but worried I will feel like a clown! I have a hundred tops so surely will have tops for whatever I get although prob will get a couple of new ones to go with whatever trousers I find. Recently bought a lovely equipment animal print short sleeve top so prob should match to that.

Also like the me & em ones but a bit concerned that those and the BR ones look a bit 'work'....

Love the idea of the pink Zara ones but worried about the fit especially getting the length right...

Would like printed so I can feel very 'now' but don't want to look like I think I'm 20. I'm 42.

Thank you!

BrandyAlexander · 28/03/2013 09:08

God I am a muppet! I have spilt a bottle of perfume - its the pure oil so difficult to source . Then run out to the car and forgot a jacket/wrap so when I get into office I will be wearing a short sleeve wool dress with my LKB boots. Think I will be turning the heating right up!

Drywhiteplease · 28/03/2013 09:12

At least you'll smell nice novice

BrandyAlexander · 28/03/2013 09:15

I have a new twist to the jewelry saga.... Having said yes to bracelet, no to ring last night, I have another option on something that looks like this but nicer. 'My' one is a 6 carat v blue tanzanite with 1.75 diamonds. I am so tempted but can hear Frugal saying don't do it!

BrandyAlexander · 28/03/2013 09:22

Sleep, good finds! The palazzo Zara trousers are beautiful. I wish I was tall enough to carry off that look! OP, I am 5'2" as well so I am dubious. The printed Zara ones are lovely as well, especially with a plain white t-shirt.

QueenCadbury · 28/03/2013 09:28

jenny gap fit nicely (well on me anyway) and they have lots of patterned ones that don't look too clown like. 20% off online today gap

QueenCadbury · 28/03/2013 09:31

novice again it's gorgeous but do you really want to spend that much on something that's likely to damage? (No probs with you spending what you like but would seem a waste if it gets ruined quickly )

QueenCadbury · 28/03/2013 09:32

Also jenny I've never tried them but I always like the look of boden bistro crops

QueenCadbury · 28/03/2013 09:34

Sorry, gap link was the wrong one!

Drywhiteplease · 28/03/2013 10:03

novice beautiful ring, if it were me I'd stick to the bracelet.......but the I'm quite classic ( according to a style survey frugal mentioned).......day off, spent most of the morning on MN , must do something constructive like getting dressed!!!!!!!!
