Thanks for suggestions so far. I've been out quickly to the boutique up the road - no trousers but got a lovely Ella Moss top!! Aargh.

Am now shopping at Gap and have windows open in all the other places you have all suggested.

What about current Elliot captain cotton pants on NAP? Not sure if they are too daytime?

Thank you!

jenny99 · 28/03/2013 10:36

Omg there is so much out there!! I have decided I need to go to Westfield at the weekend. I think I will head to Zara, but also with good options online need to go to Joseph, Whistles, zadig, maybe maje and really like the Michael Kors woven tapered trousers on NAP too.

Like the Boden ones but am worried ordering online now with bank holiday and being able to refund if necessary before I go away.

Also remember I have khaki j brand Earhart and they will be good to take :)

Annianni · 28/03/2013 10:54

I do like that Tiffany ring Novice

What are you wearing today Amber?

I am ignoring the weather in crop Hudson's, leopard ballet flats, a 3/4 sleeve top and no coat

I am about to go into a large very warm shopping centre though...I shall require more layers for the school run later.

Annianni · 28/03/2013 10:55

Welcome Jenny

I'd go to proper shops, rather than order online with the bank holidays.

Pseudonymity · 28/03/2013 10:58

Lovely ring novice. Seems that perhaps you do want a sparkly ring after all? Enables... Wink

AmberNectarine · 28/03/2013 11:25

I'm wearing my new Phillip Lim t-shirt Anni - have just blogged it.

I have Earharts jenny, love them for summer. Westfield a good call, they have just about everything you could want. Maybe try Cos?

Sleepwhenidie · 28/03/2013 12:12

Nice but busy child free day for me today before holidays start properly, been kickboxing, just about to head to post office with a pile of returns, quick stop in Anna to see whether they maybe have that Duffy sweater, then West End with more returns (!) to Zara and Whistles, then Selfridges for coffee with a friend and a lash lift, my favourite beauty treat Smile. Out for dinner and drinks with a bunch of cool mum friends this evening, then it's kids kids kids for two weeks Grin.

Decameron · 28/03/2013 12:23

I prefer the bracelet, Novice.

Hi Jenny, have a look at Bastyan and Nicole Farhi in House of Fraser Westfield. Have a great holiday.

MrsMcGregor · 28/03/2013 12:40

Ladies, a WWYD and some advice please ... the Weekend by MaxMara scarf which I linked to last night. I tried it on last night and again just now. It's a fine, almost gauzy fabric which I know is delicate but there are two small holes/snags/pulls in it which I'm pretty certain I didn't put there. They're difficult to see and I only spotted he when I had it held up against the light and the other when I laid it on the carpet to examine it Hmm. Would t be unreasonable for me to ask for an exchange? The shop is a 2 hr drive from me but it happens I will be passing it again tomorrow. Shall I call them or suffer n silence?

Thanks!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 28/03/2013 12:54

sleep that sounds like quite a busy day, but enjoyable! Enjoy it before 2 weeks of servile domesticity.
Mrs M if you're going past it's got to be worth a try exchanging. You have nothing to lose!

Today I am looking very fetching in narrow (not quite skinny) Hollister jeans, about 4 layers on top culminating in a black and white striped jumper bought out of necessity in Sweden last year and a dark green Jack Wills waxed jacket. All neatly accessorised with big black scarf, battered Dubarry Galway boots with chinchilla furry liners and badly chipped rouge noir nail polish. A vision of decorous elegance at my desk in my frozen office at the stable yard. At least I have a few days of being like a normal person to look forward to.

santamarianovella · 28/03/2013 13:34

I'd give them a call first mrs m,these things take awhile to process.
Jealous of your trip to selfridges sleep,I'm stuck in kiddy land till I visit my parents in valbonne next month, can't wait!

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 28/03/2013 13:37

Hurrah! Nice delivery man just brought me the &Other stories gold pointed ballerinas and they're luuuurvly. I'd also ordered the Boden gold flat slingbacks and will compare and contrast when they arrive, but I have a feeling I'll keep these ones (esp as they were about £20 cheaper than the Boden slingbacks). Size 36 still roomy enough though - if sanyone's buying ffotwear from &Other Stories, I'd definitely recommend sizing down.

MarshaBrady · 28/03/2013 13:49

Meeting was good. Although not sure how much they thought thanks very much for great ideas, but have to say what I did otherwise I can't show them what I do. Hopefully it will be a new client, where I can work ad hoc and from home or their office over the next year or so.

Amber I really love that Phillip Lim top on your blog. So so nice, it does make me want it too.

Felt good in outfit. Marant heel / winter white acne monochrome is now slotted under good outfits for work.

MarshaBrady · 28/03/2013 13:49

Just need to catch up, back in a mo..

Annianni · 28/03/2013 14:25

I'm bootless...

Office didn't have the grey horrigans, so I tried the beige suede in a 7 and they were like wellies on me
Why can't they do a 6 & 1/2?

So... I think I need to try some jalouse/spiral type boots as Hudson's don't fit me.

Does anyone know of any sites doing discount on them?

Or any other suggestions?

Annianni · 28/03/2013 14:36

The Philip Lim looks fab Amber

Drywhiteplease · 28/03/2013 14:43

Just bought
this as recommended by MrsCBlack.v nice on.
I know it's a lot like
this..., but I couldn't help myself....and it's cotton, so I need it for my hols, and it was cheap.
I'm planning on wearing it with
these
And
these for a night out on holiday.

Drywhiteplease · 28/03/2013 14:45

these sandals

AmberNectarine · 28/03/2013 14:49

That's a pretty outfit for a slim thing like you drywhite - I would look like a Victorian governess in that top!

MarshaBrady · 28/03/2013 14:52

Drywhite great outfit.

libertychick · 28/03/2013 15:10

Sympathy Anni - so annoying when the things you love don't fit/work out.

Novice I think you are just going to have to scratch that tanzanite itch! And as for the possible damage - well that's why insurance was invented!

Fingers crossed for a good outcome from the client meeting Marsha.

That H&M blouse is lovely Drywhite

Looking very boring today, skinny 7FAM, black sweater, pink superga....look crap ATM, pale skin, dry hair, black circles under eyes. Going to use the few days off to kick start some exercise and getting more sleep.

AmberNectarine · 28/03/2013 15:46

Maybe a tanzanite necklace novice (not heart of the ocean stylee) - less likely to get dinged?

QueenCadbury · 28/03/2013 16:09

anni that's a pain but it just means that they weren't mention to be and that there'll be boots out there that you love more.

drywhite nice outfit

novice that's a good point about a necklace if that's the stone you do really want.

liberty I also look crap today. Despite having just had eyebrows and eyelashes sorted I still feel blah. Think it's because my hair needs a trim(being done on Saturday). If my hair feels a mess, I feel a mess. Also tried the layering thing today with long sleeves under my new short sleeved things. I just cannot do layering except a vest. I just feel so constricted and uncomfortable.

QueenCadbury · 28/03/2013 16:14

I do like this

MrsMcGregor · 28/03/2013 16:40

Update on scarf - phoned the shop and they have, very kindly, held another over for me to exchange tomorrow. Thanks!

Liberty - the Cos Linen jumper. I love it! It's a gorgeous shade of blue and looks lovely with a little of bright colour peaking out underneath it. I wasn't sure of the fit when I tried it last night (and to be fair I'd two tops on under it Blush) but looking at it in daylight, it's fine. The next size, would be swimming on me in the body.

Drywhite - I saw that top on Mrs CB's blog and quite like it. Do you wear it tucked in or out? Not sure whether, on me, it would look trendy or stuffy!

Have decided that this thread an All Worn Out blog are bad for my bank balance. Off tomorrow to try and find something to wear out next Sat night - not sure whether to look for nice jeans, heels and maybe a lacey top or go the black trousers route?
