foxy Chris Evans did a bit this morning on drunk Internet purchases! Silver Gigis safe lovely though
sleep ....doing Yorkshire 3 peaks, having trained for months, trying to post our start times, pushed it right through letter box, bangle got wedged fast.....thought Wed never get going, eventually manipulated it and freed self, friends pissed selves laughing........it was a miserable day. Pissing with rain, mud everywhere, completed 26 miles ,huge achievement but soaked.....BUT vogue ladies, I looked lovely in my matching performance wear and diamond studded bangle and pearl studs!!!Grin

Lovely sandals, Foxy.

Nice shopping, QueenC, at least you'll be ready when it eventually warms up!

I hope things will be rosy in the garden for you again soon, Shop. And best of luck to your DH in his job search too, Onelittlelady.

Your engagement ring is beautiful, Novice.

I tell DH he is lucky as I am not really into jewellery (just everything else!), and have some nice pieces inherited from my mother.

Well done, Drywhite!

Good luck tomorrow, Marsha, the outfit sounds great.

My new Ash arrived, love the embellishments.

QueenCadbury · 27/03/2013 19:24

I heard the drunk purchase thing on local radio. Isn't the biggest drunk purchase sex toys? Any confessions ladies Grin?

Love the silver gigis. I fell in love with these shoes today and had they been totally silver I would have bought them but thought that being black they might not be very versatile in the summer. Can't stop thinking about them though...

Annianni · 27/03/2013 19:41

I have swishy hair again :o

Love the Ash Decameron and the gigi's Foxy, I can't wait to wear mine when the weather's better.

I love all of your engagement rings Amber

I wear my huge citrine ring most days, and i've bashed both ds's with it several times Blush

I've rung Office at least a dozen times today about those boots, but they never answer the sodding phone Hmm

MrsMcGregor · 27/03/2013 19:42

A huge thank you to whomever posted a link a few weeks back to this Weekend by MaxMara blazer - sorry, I can't recall who it was. It's been at the back of my mind since I saw the link so when I found myself parked right outside a Weekend by MaxMara store today, the lure was too much!! It's lovely on - sits really well, feels gorgeous and will go with loads. So thank you! I also got a lovely scarf - - will link in a separate post as I keep losing my post when I change browser window for links! Now back to trying hard not to click too many links Grin

Decameron · 27/03/2013 19:43

It was moi (I think!) MrsMcGregor, I still haven't bought it. Will have to rectify that soon. Glad you like it. How is the sleeve length?

MrsMcGregor · 27/03/2013 19:45

scarf - will also look good with a navy linen jumper from Cos which one of the All Worn Out ladies linked to - it arrived today but I haven't had an opportunity to try it on yet.

AmberNectarine · 27/03/2013 19:48

Nah I buy all my sex toys sober, wouldn't want to get the wrong size!

In other news I have won £100 of Outnet store credit, which has brightened an extremely shitty day!

MrsMcGregor · 27/03/2013 19:49

Thanks Decameron - I had an inkling it might have been you. I'll have to try it on again to check the sleeves but they were 3/4 length when rolled back on turn at the cuff. It's quite fitted so the lady advised me to size up to a medium which is a perfect size - I'm a small busted 10. I'm really delighted with it!

McNally · 27/03/2013 19:56

Lovely blazer and scarf MrsMcGregor.

Enjoying the wedding dress and engagement ring links. My wedding dress is in the wardrobe in a box. Too scared to open it in case the moths have got to it. If they haven't and needed the cash, I wouldn't hesitate too much in selling it though. I still wear my wedding shoes on occasion (red Loubs).

Liking the talk about Gigis. Giving me hope that warm weather is just round the corner.

Grin at the thought of Drywhite's three peaks trauma kitted out in diamonds and pearls!

Drywhiteplease · 27/03/2013 20:08

McNally I never let my standards drop darling Grin

MarshaBrady · 27/03/2013 20:12

Ha DryWhite this is Vogue after all Grin.

In breaking news have washed the MNV AV, looking good far.

Annianni · 27/03/2013 20:16

Good luck Marsha

I've been googling how to wash polyester/rayon mixes and there is a risk of shrinkage/damage when wet.
Best advice is a cold wash, then roll in a towel and dry flat.

So still undecided on the Splendid cardigan.

foxysocks · 27/03/2013 20:21

Brave marsha! Not tried it here yet.

You are all making me feel much better about the wine fuelled Gigi purchase, thanks!

Am on a roll today, just ordered cute swimmers for Boden for DD and now browsing all saints sale. Danger on the dance floor...

MarshaBrady · 27/03/2013 20:38

Oh yes Gigi purchase fab Foxy!

Anni I did a warm hand wash, and the roll and flat.

Decam great Ash shoes.

MrsMcGregor great blazer and scarf.

Well done Amber!

I bought a single duvet cover from the little white company .

MrsMcGregor · 27/03/2013 21:05

Decameron, sleeves are longer than I thought. At full length, they are a full length sleeve, finishing at my knuckles. The cuff has one button and if I roll it just below the button (as it was in the shop) the sleeve skims where wrist meets thumb joint, so about 2 inches shorter.

libertychick · 27/03/2013 22:01

Do you know Marsha I have been thinking new duvet covers would be nice? Smile.

Novice I love tennis bracelets - enjoy. And now as well as being Envy about your MIL, bag collection and jewelery I am really, really Envy that you look 20!

Great MaxMara blazer and scarf MrsMcGregor would love a report back on the Cos linen sweater as I am thinking about that too.

It's the shoe rubbing and 'ahem' sweaty shoe effect that puts me off bare feet in closed shoes

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 27/03/2013 22:02

Have been Shock at all the jewellery links! My lovely Nan had a jewellery collection Liz Taylor would have coveted, but that particular fascination passed me by. My uncle (rich, eternal bachelor and lover of fine things) always assured me it would be a fetish I would grow into, but I'm 42 now and would much rather spend such copious amounts of cash on good holidays and other nice stuff. I like my jewels cheap! (Luckily for DH). My engagement ring - which I never wear due to working with horses - is a victorian antique bought at a specialist antique jewellers in York. It's not especially valuable, but it means alot.
QueenC love that belt and Essie nail polish is brilliant. I was thrilled recently to discover Boots in Nottingham has a serious collection of Essie colours - self-restraint was called upon (I'm a sucker for nail polish). As expected, I've also caved on the Gigis. Thanks to Carrie I nearly ordered from Nordstrom for my sister to bring home from Florida for me, but they didn't have the exact ones I wanted, so back to Amazon and £85 lighter...

Decameron · 27/03/2013 22:10

MrsMcGregor, thanks for checking, I have long arms, so sounds good! Great scarf (I have a bit of a scarf problem).

Bought a top (found by a former A&Wer), this one, ocado13 for £25 off. Should be good for spring (if it ever arrives).

libertychick · 27/03/2013 22:56

Lovely top Decam

Drywhiteplease · 27/03/2013 22:59

Lol liberty.... I would never in a million years be able to run a marathon. The Yorkshire Three Peaks is a walk up and down hills....you're supposed to do it in under 12 hrs.........I did it in 11 after releasing myself From the clutches of the letterbox, and couldn't walk for days after!!! [ grin]

Drywhiteplease · 27/03/2013 23:00

Sorry Grin but it was more of a Shock after, then Sad then a lot of Wine to recover!!!!

BrandyAlexander · 27/03/2013 23:15

liberty Grin all my witterings have come back to haunt me Grin. I promise looking so young not always great!! Eg I was in a leadership meeting today at work and as it was internal and i had travelled for it, i dressed down. 2 people joined us and I was talking to a fellow senior person. Both people joining the meeting leaned over me to introduce themselves to the person I was talking to Hmm. It's why I always wear make up, wear muted colours (mostly!), rarely dress down (even though we have dress down Fridays) and i introduce colours through accessories as I think I come across as more polished and older. Casual me, everyone just thinks I am the new graduate so I lack impact and that horrible sexist word "gravitas".

Can I ask a silly question about pop socks? Where does one buy them?! Confused. Do they come in packets like Kleenex?

grumpy, I think dh would rather I was less interested! He's baffled that I have changed my mind on the ring though since yesterday afternoon I told him I had to have it! Grin.

libertychick · 27/03/2013 23:46

Novice I am sooooo guilty of making assumptions about age - was at a legal meeting the other day and asked a woman her name - turns out she was the solicitor I has spoken too on the phone daily about a particular issue but she looked so young (and dressed so badly) I assumed she was a v junior member of staff and not the mega competent and scarily smart lady I had been dealing with by phone/email Blush.

Pop socks do come in little packets a bit like kleenex Grin. Primarni do them but worth upgrading to M&S as the cheaper ones tend to cut off your circulation at the knee

Drywhite walking up and down hills for 11 hours is a fantastic achievement! I was really fit a few years ago - not marathon level but did lots of 10km runs and went to the gym 3/4 times per week. I really need to get fit again, DD was examining me this evening in the bath was was howling with laughter 'squashing mummy's wobble tummy'!
