Pathetically excited that dress down Friday has been moved to tomorrow - not working a Friday I never benefit. I'll probably go over the top in leather leggings or something!

winefairy · 27/03/2013 15:01

That's fabulous nail varnish QueenC. It's gone on my wish list.

Sleepwhenidie · 27/03/2013 15:26

Hi Novice I would go for the bracelet too, am very happy as I just got one just like it back from insurance co, it was a wedding present from DH and I lost it Blush, was very happy with insurance company as they stumped up for a new one with hardly any protest, even though the value of it had doubled in the time since we first insured it 5 years or so ago Shock. I wear mine every day alongside my Dodo charm bracelet and love it, mine is 3.5 carats I think, not sure I would go much higher as IMHO it may start to look fake.

By the way, unless you have to, I wouldn't go to a high street jeweller, get yourself to Hatton Garden or Birmingham jewellery quarter and you will get much better value for money. The jeweller that made my replacement bracelet was very good, a company called LMG that deals directly with small jewellers in Hatton Garden. They will come to your house and discuss what you want first, great service.

QueenCadbury · 27/03/2013 15:35

Grin we're polar opposites amber. I would rather wear pop socks than have cold feet and I absolutely love that tiffanys engagement ring!!

AmberNectarine · 27/03/2013 15:36

Not much classic about me...

shopafrolic · 27/03/2013 15:40

Which is why I love you amber
Have just spent 3 hours EBaying! It takes forever!!!! Stuff had better sell.......

QueenCadbury · 27/03/2013 15:41

just you've reminded me that there's 25% off lkb with this weeks grazia. Also a twenty8twelve code. I seem to remember someone linking to something from them?

novice I've also been reminded that I've never found Ernest jones great quality. The catch on my diamond bracelet that dh gave me the night before our wedding broke and I had to send a friend into town to get me a replacement as I was adamant I was going to wear it on the day. Also a white gold chain on a necklace broke. To be fair, they did replace both with no quibbling.

QueenCadbury · 27/03/2013 15:42

Yep, I am the most boring classic dresser around! Love living vicariously through your links though!

BrandyAlexander · 27/03/2013 15:45

Awww you're all fab, thank you!

Amber, you have just linked my engagement ring!!!GrinGrinGrin

MrsRadicchio · 27/03/2013 15:52

wedding dress

Right, need to stop spending so much time on line!!

MarshaBrady · 27/03/2013 16:37

Novice love the bracelet. I don't really do jewellery so not very knowledgeable, I only do watch and wedding / engagement rings, but it would look fabulous on.

I just looked at my wedding Louboutin heels and they are wrecked. Glad there are others who wreck shoes in one wear! Unbelievable!

AmberNectarine · 27/03/2013 16:44

Whoops, sorry novice, we are clearly at polar ends of the spectrum!

This is a lot like mine.

BrandyAlexander · 27/03/2013 16:44

Thanks everyone, especially for not slating me. :) i have gone for the 4ct bracelet. It's not the same as the one I linked to, but looks like it. The clasp is diamond hence why its £8k. Funnily enough sleep, I actually don't mind things looking a little bit like they might be fake, as I prob wear about £20k to £30k of jewelry each day (engagement ring is biggest chunk of that) , and worry about looking muggable. I look about 20, so to the undiscerning eye, I am probably wearing swaroski (which I also love).

In a piece of irony, I accidentally caught my diamond pendant today on one of the charms of Sabo watch so will have broken the clasp and it needs repair. I am also rubbish at losing stuff so I am forever fretting about mislaid jewelry.

Amber, I like that your style is v different to mine. I am a total classic person. Grin.

MarshaBrady · 27/03/2013 16:56

It is lovely to have a lots of styles. I much prefer it. And a big range in spending, finding the best bargaintastic stuff and then enjoying the big ones.

I'm thinking monochrome for tomorrow's thing. White shirt, possibly white Acne angora and black Saba jacket and Marant black heels and anthracite Wolfords. Will have to do a try on. Just got to make sure it's not too hot, for when I'm inside.

shopafrolic · 27/03/2013 17:00

Have just realised that this year's wedding anniversary is leather..... shame we have no income otherwise I'd have asked for a fab new bag :(
Loving the differences in styles.
MrsR now I want to see actual wedding pics!! :)
Chilli meatballs for supper tonight and then a pilates class. I am nothing if not risqué!

Definitely agree with you Marsha!

Shop are you an experienced ebayer? Never done it and all looks scary!

BrandyAlexander · 27/03/2013 17:09

Love your ring Amber.Grin

Shop, dh and I never do anniversary presents, more because I can't be bothered with the pfaff! I am sure all will be good for your dh at Xmas then he can get you a shiny bag then!

shopafrolic · 27/03/2013 17:20

I'm getting to be quite an experienced seller Novice but I never buy anything.....

OP posts:
Drywhiteplease · 27/03/2013 17:32

QueenC I love all of your purchases....ESP the nail varnish.
novice get the bracelet, it's gorgeous, but wear it every day.......I'd love one but too clumsy, worried I'd catch it on door handles etc, instead got a bangle. Like this with my dcs and DH names engraved inside (sentimental me!)......indestructible but did once her
T my hand and bangle stuck in a letter box, this will not happen ith a tennis bracelet!!!!!!!!!!
amber show us your engagement ring, would love to see it

Drywhiteplease · 27/03/2013 17:33

Damn predictive text.....I meant " get my hand stuck"

Sleepwhenidie · 27/03/2013 18:33

Novice, now you've said that I've just added it up and I wear a similar value of jewellery every day...think it is all fairly understated and not obvious for a potential mugger though ! This has reminded me to get the ring DH bought me for my 40th put on the insurance however. Had to make the most of that occasion as DH and I don't do anniversary gifts and no baby gifts for me unfortunately..cue DH saying "what do you mean? You got a baby didn't you?" - suppose he has a point Grin

Marsha your planned outift sounds great.

MrsR I can't link to your wedding dress Sad

drywhite...stuck in a letterbox? How?ConfusedGrin

foxysocks · 27/03/2013 18:39

Glass of wine during bedtime proving hazardous. Just ordered silver gigis from asos. Remembered quidco so about same price as from the US right now

Looks like i got the last pair. Not massively exciting but I really like them and think they'll be super versatile

foxysocks · 27/03/2013 18:41

Whoops www.asos.com/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2510374

AmberNectarine · 27/03/2013 18:50

My engagement ring is massive and not at all understated, I have to take it off at night or I injure people. DH and I learnt that during an, ahem, intimate moment. Only jewellery of worth I have/wear though. I keep my money in my wardrobe!
