As for staying warm, I'm still wearing Stella M green coat and big navy scarf. I am SO sick of the scarf, it gets tangled in the seatbelt, falls down. Ah just give me an outfit without a scarf.

shopafrolic · 27/03/2013 08:30

Morning all. Off to get DH an interview suit today! Fingers crossed it brings with it lots of interviews!!
This Shearling coat at Anna is lovely on and a great discount at the moment......
www.shopatanna.com/shop-Michael-Kors-10/MU22C14JK9-Shearling-Jacket-in-Brown-10
Shopping sounds great carrie - have a wonderful trip
Novice can you link please?
My question of the day - do you still have your wedding dress and wedding shoes? I've already sold my dress, and am now contemplating selling my Ginas.......
any thoughts?

MarshaBrady · 27/03/2013 08:34

I think you should be able to sell those Shop.

I still have ivory Louboutin heels with a delicate ankle strap and the wedding dress from Browns Bride. It was a garden wedding and the shoes have a couple of stains so not sure I could do anything with those unfortunately. An expensive cpw.

MarshaBrady · 27/03/2013 08:40

Have a great time Carrie!

Novice sounds intriguing and lovely .

Pseudonymity · 27/03/2013 09:36

Where on earth does one buy a full-length shearling coat, or shall I go to Ikea and sew some rugs around myself Grin.

Hope things look up for you soon Shop

Pseudonymity · 27/03/2013 09:38

Ah, you already linked one! Yipee! Love the colour of Tanzanite Novice

foxysocks · 27/03/2013 09:39

I bet those will sell shop.

I have plain silver gina heels that I bought for our wedding, I still wear them for other weddings now as they go with everything. still have my dress(es) too, I love them and don't want to sell!

have a fab time carrie!

pickledsiblings · 27/03/2013 09:43

novice, lucky you about to have a splurge. Can you post links to the jewellery you're contemplating so we can drool advise you?

carrie, don't forget J Brands and J Crew Smile. 15 degrees sounds positively balmy

Marsha, I can't wait to sit in the garden with a coffee - will it ever happen?

Shop, DH got a nice suit from the Banana Republic Heritage range. Hope your DH finds a great one and that it brings him lots of luck.

winefairy · 27/03/2013 09:56

I have a tanzanite ring which I've just been to check and it has no sign of any scratches but I must admit I've hardly worn it. It's stunning but it's fairly ornate and my engagement ring is also and I feel it's all too much.

Sorry, that's not overly helpful. I'm sure it's absolutely fine for occasional wear. I've had no problems. What were you thinking of buying?

shop Those Gina's are divine. I would consider selling them but only for a very decent price. Still have both my dress and shoes, both with too many grass stains to be worth much. Think I would sell shoes before dress though.

MarshaBrady · 27/03/2013 09:59

Hey Pickled I know, my lovingly planted blossom trees and daffodils should be basking in sunshine. As should we.

I've heard good things about the Aigle cuckmere, very warm.

AmberNectarine · 27/03/2013 10:58

Anni nope, I braved it. London totally dry yesterday (checked forecast!) I love them so much!

novice I had a Tanzanite necklace and I chipped the bugger. Was never so glad too, big heart shaped thing bought for my by my ex, looked like the necklace out of Titanic. Really vile.

Missed my Beketts yesterday, grrr.

Still have my wedding dress and shoes. As they came from Coast and River Island respectively I don't think they'd be big money spinners (not into weddings, rather spend my money on handbags!)

Annianni · 27/03/2013 11:19

I've destroyed my hands this morning, putting together a trampoline for ds2.
But he adores it, and is bouncing away like a good 'un.

The AR Splendid cardigan has arrived... and I really like it... even though it's bloody polyester. It's very drapey and it goes nicely with all my new tee's... that are hung in a row waiting to be worn Sad
I paid £45 for it, using that code that was floating about.

Cardigan

But... it says dry clean only, and i refuse to dry clean a cardi Hmm
Has anyone got one, and if yes, have you washed it?

The postman's just arrived with the grey horrigans, so i'm off for another try-on.

Shop, those shoes are beautiful. If I was you, i'd be looking for other things to sell, before I sold those iykwim... unless I was in dire straits, then everything would go.
I'd be wearing them round the house whilst hoovering :o

foxysocks · 27/03/2013 11:22

i'd be scared of wrecking it tbh anni. but dry clean only polyester, wtf?

grr to missing deliveries amber, am waiting in for my celine skirt now drums fingers

Annianni · 27/03/2013 11:39

That's what I thought Foxy.
Oh, and how dull was that yellow belt!? It was nothing like it's photo.

The horrigans are lovely, but too small
I've tried Hudson's in the next size up before, and they were too big.
And the Office 20% off code doesn't work anymore.
Why didn't I order both sizes to be on the safe side?

Think i'll give customer services a call.

Annianni · 27/03/2013 11:42

Ds2 is now trundling around wearing these he loves them :o

MarshaBrady · 27/03/2013 11:43

Oh no Anni hope they are helpful.

Foxy Céline skirt sounds really, not sure if I missed the link.

Sleepwhenidie · 27/03/2013 11:50

Good morning everyone, lovely Ginas Shop, I'm sure they will sell but be patient, I relisted my Loubis 3 times before they went so don't be too discouraged if they don't go first time.

Nice cardi Anni, not sure I'd risk washing it Confused.

I have just waved the YSL bikini off with the courier, the top was too tiny for a woman of my age Blush. White jumper nice though.

Jeans arrived from Dona Ida. Wow those Goldsigns are comfortable...but not the wash I want for s/s (assuming s/s happens at some point Hmm). Current Elliot's more the wash but not the fitGrin, so think they are both going back and I may get a cheap pair of distressed cropped jeans and get this sweater instead.

I still have my wedding dress, it was an ivory Armani evening dress that I intended to get dyed but dry cleaners said it can't be ..logically I should sell it but somehow I can't (would if I had to of course). The Gina sandals I wore have trashed heels, mainly due to being worn on decking at a mountain restaurant where we had a big party after wedding, so no good for selling.

Marsha what did you wear for your meeting in the end?

Just off to pick up DS1 from school, holidays starting now Grin.

MarshaBrady · 27/03/2013 11:58

Sleep love the Duffy top. Meeting / chat is tomorrow. Might have to dress up the Bruno jacket. I only have that and a very old long line Saba black one. Saba more formal than the Bruno. Hmm should try and create an outfit. I feel like saying 'i have nothing to wear!'.

Will definitely go with white shirt, typically, and Lanvin wedge, probably. Need stuff in between!

foxysocks · 27/03/2013 11:58

this one marsha pinterest.com/pin/250231323018290199/

was reading 'you are what you wear' and the stuff about always playing safe got me thinking. i wear the odd thing out of my comfort zone, but very little. and my legs are ok Wink so as long as it warms up thought this could be a good staple, dressed down with a tee and sandals and my (just ordered this second, last one in a S) new denim jacket

www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product/uk/en/zara-neu-S2013/358002/1048525/MEDIUM%20WASH%20DENIM%20JACKET

def call them anni, bet they will swap size and honour discount

MarshaBrady · 27/03/2013 12:05

That's gorgeous Foxy, lovely colour, it will look great on you.

Love that rose gold bangle top left of that link too.

BrandyAlexander · 27/03/2013 12:13

Hi! Thanks for the tanzanite info. Errr need to decide shortly. I will prob pass. Here is the link but PLEASE know that I know it's an obscene amount of money in today's environment (I would be able to get 50% discount) before you kick me off the thread for being a knob! www.tomassa.com/18ct-white-gold-13-56ct-tanzanite-and-diamond-ring

shopafrolic · 27/03/2013 12:20

The ring is beautiful and the discount is amazing but if it damages in the way that Frugal says then I would be quite concerned........

Hello again, lovely purchases! I still have my wedding dress: it'll be 10 years this summer. Amanda Wakeley drapey bias cut, I still love it (and may get it out every now and then to try on). It probably could be dyed, but I don't really o to events where a floor length gown is required lol. Shoes were an amazing eBay find: Manolos hand delivered by a US couple on their honeymoon in London. I visited their hotel and saw their wedding pics and everything Grin. GE shoes had never been worn, and were so comfy. I wore them for a few other weddings (2003 was the year of the wedding for us:7 in one summer).

Drywhite, it's warming up again, due to be HOT over Easter. Have an amazing time. My youngest (5.5) was a bit of a sensitive flower and cried coming off most of the rides, but he doesn't seem scarred. Was our first time for Harry Potter, which was great. H and DD both v v into their HP, so they couldn't get enough. We now own 2 (v over priced) wands. Hmm didn't do Disney this year, just Universal (last time we were in Orlando, we got stuck with the ash cloud, so ended up 3 weeks in Orlando, which gave us our fill for a LONG time). Have an amazing time!

Annianni · 27/03/2013 12:21

Ds is just falling asleep on my lap (exhausted after the trampoline session) then i'll ring customer services.

Beautiful ring Novice, but for that sort of money I would want platinum.
I'm not a fan of white gold.

Annianni · 27/03/2013 12:24

And I'd be worried about it getting damaged. Even with accidental damage insurance etc.
But I am incredibly clumsy.

I love emeralds but they are easily damaged too, or so i've been told.
