Day 100

So what have you done and what are you planning to do?

I've started on the water. I had planned to weigh myself but forgot (great start) in addition to everything else on my list I'm going to paint my nails later.

Jumping in a few days late as have just found this thread. Need to tweak the list to suit me. It's my sister's wedding in 6 weeks and am the only bridesmaid who is a mum (DS is 11mo) so my challenge is not to look like a whale next to my very tiny sisters and the other super slim bridesmaid.

We have done 2 days- congratulations! Smile

This morning I have body brushed, applied face cream, eye cream, body moisturiser and foot cream. Put my make-up on, taken my vitamin and omega 3.

Breakfast was a grapefruit followed by yoghurt and my obligatory cup of tea (you'll never part me from it!)

Feeling better already here- my skin feels so lovely and moisturised and thanks to the hair oil my mane is glossy and shiny!

WopBop I am using VO5 miracle oil, good price and great results. I thought it would make my greasy hair worse but it hasn't!

Okay, have tweaked my list

  1. 8 glasses of water a day
  2. Exfoliate during shower
  3. Stick to cleanser, toner, moisturizing routine every morning and night
  4. Intensive nail care (feet and hands) ?once a week minimum, use the hand cream next to sinks and in handbag!
  5. Use eye cream/serum that is sitting in bathroom cupboard as part of morning/evening routines
  6. Start using my make-up (at the moment I stick with foundation/concealer/powder)
  7. Shred minimum 3 times a week
  8. Go running at least twice a week (building up from 15 minutes back to 5k ? about 30 minutes)
  9. At least 2 extra fruit & veg every day (fruit when DS has fruit, add veg/salad portion to packed lunches)
  10. Use hair oil or hair mask once a week(moroccan hair oil for eg, or kerastase etc)
  11. No snacking after dinner during the week (keep crudités in fridge instead)
  12. Remember to take vitamin D every day
  13. Body brushing
  14. Regular hair removal
  15. Give up crisps and cheese bingeing (my downfall) on Fri/Sat nights.

Off now to do shred and then head into town for supplies Smile (Essentials like body scrub!)

Wopbop & pixie I have really oily hair and use l'oreal extraordinary oil. I just don't apply it on my scalp. The way I use it is 2 pumps into my hands, rub hands together then run hands through damp hair. I think it's lovely. paint uses a vo5 one and I've seen coconut oil mentioned as well.

Still in right mindset for my first day. Going to have a rake through my under-used makeup box for all the nail cream/hand creams.

Welcome to the newcomers :)

I have very achy legs from my first Shred yesterday :( I will persevere - within reason! I'm managing everything but my main downfall is snacking in the evening. I need to beat this and sort my feet so I will give myself a pedicure tonight (difficult to walk to the kitchen and my hands will be busy!).

I'm still going to bed too late (11.30pm). I'm going to aim to switch the light off at 11pm tonight and work back from there.

confused I'm impressed by your exfoliating mitts! Once a week is recommended as being sufficient. I use Oral-B toothpaste as it is for enamel and whitening.

paint and addicted you sound like you are both totally on it!

Shoved some salt in my shower gel to exfoliate last night and coated my hair in dd's hair oil before washing it. I walked back from the school and nursery drop off and stopped at McDonalds for a coffee and fruit bag instead of the normal hash brown. I bought some chicken and salad for lunch. Not going to get a chance to do an exercise dvd before the kids get back home but I'll squeeze in 30 mins of hula-hooping before bed as long as DP promises not to video it like last time.

I've had a busy weeekend catching up with friends and family so I have managed to look quite glossy and buffed up on the outside but have drunk and eaten far too much.

Or, as my car-loving husband would say - the body work looks good but the engine is crap.

So, I have fruit and unlimited tap water, plus homemade vegetable soup for lunch, so I'm hoping to do better today.

Sadly, The Shred is on the table in front of me which I am a little scared of trying...

Afternoon all,

Have made a good start to my first day. Shredded and then body brush/exfoliation/de-fuzzing/shower/moisturize. Went into town and actually made an effort to not wear jeans and T-shirt. Wore by beautiful suede boots that I bought a year and half ago and haven?t yet seen the light of day. ?I will not be a slob? should be on my list.

Bookfairy evening snacking is my problem too. DH and I used to be really strict about only snacking on Fri/Sat nights, but the ?weekend? seems to have expanded (especially since I?m only part-time now) so that we?re doing it every night. And even if we don?t snack during the week, the cheese binges at the weekend have gotten out of control. So I?ll take a leaf out of your book and give myself a pedicure tonight ? good plan!

My weight has been yo-yoing up and down for the last 8 months. I can?t shift the last 5kg I put on when I was pregnant with DS. Looked at my weight graph on Wii fit last weekend and it?s a very spiky graph except the 10 days I was doing shred ? it just went down and down! ?and then back up again as soon as I stopped?

Thank you for inspiring me ladies!

Helga it was delicious soup - thanks Mum! - and hopefully hit two of my 5-a-day.

Still haven't started Shredding yet though. I blame the postman bringing my Amazon delivery. I am being distracted by books Grin

Argh. Ladies I'm starting to wonder if I may be pregnant again Confused I'm gagging when drinking only water, yet ive hardly ever drank squash (apart from when PG) I'm struggling to take vitimin tablets I throw them back up (another problem when PG). I'm on my 3rd unusually light period in just over 1 months (DD is just over 7 months my periods started the day she turned 6 months despite not bf) I'm feeling sick all the time and I've been feeling unusual fluttering...oh god, please no.

Reasonable start here. Managing to remember night cream and water. Green tea is replacing all but two of my frequent caffeinated drinks. Nails are nice, sometimes remembering hand cream.

Stress not doing so good - crashed the car this morning. 25 year perfect driving record and then two accidents in four months, both my fault. Aaaaarrrrrggggghhh!!

Bookfairy I am totally on it because I have set up a princessing blog, if I don't keep at it I will have a very public fail haha!

Laura at least you have your Shred! Mine is still at Amazon waiting to be ordered!

Good day so far, 4 mile walk, baby yoga and lots of water. Slightly embarrassing incident involving threading however.....it wouldn't happen to a real princess!

Addicted the possibility of a princessing baby?! Wow!

Just bought my body brush, some nail bits, flax oil, coconut oil (that's for hair and body, I already use it in cooking but didn't want to use the same tub) and other things ready to go :) Today I had herbal tea first thing and toast with almond butter. Washed/scrubbed my face with dark angel from Lush (it is lush Grin), have found some recipes for face masks too and a natural tooth whitening techique I'm going to try (tumeric apparently!) :)

I'm stealing ideas where ever you guys write them down too (like salt in my body wash! how often should you exfoliate?)

I have my vitamins ready to mix with juice (juice+, the shells aren't fun to swallow so I tip the contents into juice).

The main one I'll struggle with is the drinking water, I barely manage a litre at the moment Blush I'm all excited about this though, looking forward to looking good this Christmas without the make up caked on which is what my sister's usually try to do to me Hmm

Helga: Thanks for the recommendation! I couldn't find it in boots but have written down the name of it and will try find it if the coconut oil doesn't work :)

Bookfairy: My exfoliating mitts are brilliant, bought them in boots last year for a couple of quid and they still have them in there now. I mainly got them as they were purple Blush But I use them Grin

What kind of salt goes in the shower gel? Normal table salt or the chunky sea-based variety?

I have to leave for hula hooping in an hour so am now going to have my juice+, flax oil and then shower and exfoliate with a sugar scrub I made at Christmas Hmm It's still going though! Then put on some aloe vera body lotion. My explorers will probably laugh at me for smelling girly though later this evening Hmm

Orange You Shred 3 times per week?! How?! My legs are killing me after my first go yesterday. I am weak! I'm not sure my local shops sell Pukka tea though I must investigate as I like the sound of that tea.

Engles Yes my "only snacks" at the weekend plan has gone by the wayside... I need to be stricter with myself. As there's only me I don't have anyone to tut disapprovingly Grin

Laura I did The Shred for the first time yesterday and couldn't walk down the stairs afterwards, but don't let that put you off! I'll probably do it 2/3 times a week to see how I get used to it. My body is only used to walking and Yoga Smile

Paint Super impressed to hear about the blog! Where is it? I will read regularly and take note. I'm determined to succeed as I want to treat my body as a temple, not a dumping ground! Also, I want to get back in the dating game and in this part of Up North there are seriously restricted numbers of eligible bachelors under 50.

Wow addicted Dare I suggest you find out for certain?

I feel v motivated to keep going Smile

Confusedpixie I just use normal table salt. I had at look at shred on amazon. I think it would kill me. I've got the Clare Nasir dvd that I might dig out and also got a 10 minute solutions one that my sis win in a competition last week and gave to me. I bought a rowing machine a few weeks ago to use in front of the tv but slides around the floor too much so it's currently folded up in the corner of the living room.

I make a point of drinking a glass of water every time I go into the kitchen for any reason, washing up, laundry etc. I also have a glass while I'm waiting for the kettle to boil.

Paint tell me more about your blog. I love to read blogs - like nosing in someone's diary Grin

Are you ok Helena ? A bump in the car can really ruin the day, can't it?

I STILL haven't Shredded. Book - being unable to walk in a straight line is my worry with the wretched DVD. Last time I had a few days of using it, I struggled on the stairs afterwards BUT I had toned arms really quickly! It is such a good workout.

Right. I am WELL UP for this challenge. I have been working like a maniac in my job and look like the wreck of the Hesperus. Grey-faced, eye bags you could keep potatoes in, yellowy teeth, bitten nails. I used to actually be alright-looking.
So far today I have made a shaky start (day 1. Does not bode well)
I have done:
8 glasses of filtered water
Anti ageing face cream
Eye cream
Whitening toothpaste
Hand & feet moisturising oil
Hair oil

I have also plucked my eyebrows, does that count?

I have not eaten any extra fruit & veg and I'm currently necking a bottle of Peroni Nastro Azzuro. NAUGHTY
