Day 100

So what have you done and what are you planning to do?

I've started on the water. I had planned to weigh myself but forgot (great start) in addition to everything else on my list I'm going to paint my nails later.

Morning all. Up bright and early after another very early night - 10pm on a Saturday, it's unheard of for me.

I'm determined to make a good go of this today. I've had my lemon water and vitamin, just about to have breakfast (I can't eat until a couple of hours after I've woken up) and more water, then going to the gym for a swim/sauna/steam room.

I've made a big bowl of fruit salad so I can grab a couple of spoonfuls when I'm peckish. I'll be brushing, bathing, exfoliating, shaving and moisturising tonight.

Shred is great, it gave me the kick start I needed about 6 months ago and I promised myself if I did it regularly for 3 months I'd treat myself to gym membership, which I did. The first week is hard going but after that it's fine and you see the results quickly. And it's only a fiver on amazon or play.com so if you hate it you haven't broken the bank.

I need to get back into the groove.
Started well at the beginning of the week, body brushing before my shower, using my Clarisonic etc.
But as the week went on and I got more tired from a busy week at work, I found myself pressing the snooze button more often and then only having time to do the bare minimum.
And my Shred DVD is still in itsd wrapper!

Okay, you've convinced me to buy The Shred Confused. I hope I survive it!

Body brushed, showered, hair oiled this morning. Have had two glasses of water and healthy breakfast (fat free yoghurt with oatbran). Also did this yesterday with the addition of face mask (thought my face might fall off if I scrubbed!).

Addicted I am old enought to be your mother Grin so had better invest in some heavy duty anti-ageing. Am trying REN, but not convinced so far.

Does anyone else think that L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil smells disgusting?

Good morning! It must be 100 days until Xmas now?? Sorry.....

Yesterday went well! I walked 8 miles, I can hardly move today! Also had very little wine and over 8 hours of sleep. Had yucky omega oil last night too.

I'm bringing the scales into my room and I'm going to keep track of my weight.

Right! I need to sort myself out so I'm joining this thread. I already started with the regular hair appointments but don't know how I'm going to keep it up with Christmas to pay for.

Oops, very very late check in today sorry

Can I ask that the first poster on the thread daily might include the countdown day so for example today is
Day 99
Having a bad day beauty wise so far so going to have a bath later and do all the brushing and exfoliating and stuff then. BUT I went to get the papers this morning and I put on a little make up and didn't look as scruffy as usual and felt a bit more together.

Mother this thread isn't all about spending lots of money. Most people have odds and ends of moisturiser and things around that you can concentrate on using up. There are also cheap home made scrubs and things you can make cheaply (not my area of expertise I'll admit)

It's the hair appointments that cost all the money. I already make my own bodtscrubs etc. Might try the local hairdressing college.

Report
addictedisback · 16/09/2012 14:46

hairdressing college would be good, but I dont have the time or teh money to go regularly to the hairdresser (all the products I have bought so far have been with my boots points!)

So I've been using a decent shampoo, conditioner and now hair oil. I really recommend it, just taking 30 minutes extra a day on my hair has improved the conditioin greatly. Although obviously if you have your hair coloured then you may need more than that.

That's the trouble. I've just gone blonder. My own dark blonde hair made me look like death but the upkeep is going to cost a fortune.

My hairdresser suggested sleeping with baby oil in your hair. Confused No idea if it works, have also heard wonderful things about rinsing your hair in coke. :)

So today......
Brought new shampoo/conditioner with Argan oil to combat the frizz.
Body brushed before shower.
4k run.
Full body moisturiser.
Looked at nail stuff and ran away (I have crap nails)

Tip of the day from me: Low potassium levels cause flud retention. Never mind an apple a day, a banana a day has made me wee like a horse and lose an inch from my waist!

OrangeKat · 16/09/2012 16:06

I have also unearthed the huile divine from Caudalie that my friend bought me for christmas last year. I WILL banish the birds nest of frizz on top of my head!

Sleeping with avocado oil in your hair is amazing olive oil is great too but it can strip your hair of hair dye so that's no longer an option for me!

I'm doing this challenge on the (very) cheap Grin

Ooh! I have a water drinking tip too! In the evening drink Pukka tea's Vanilla Chai, it's larvley tasting and caffeine free. It's the nicest herbal tea I've ever drunk.
Disclaimer: I don't work for them.
PS, Please don't buy it all from my local shops, I'll cry.

Thanks ds. its really hard as dcs keeping me awake at night so am very tired. Did the body lotion thing every day too. Did have a look for hair oil- do you put it on wet or dry hair? Advice please, have no idea!! Also did waxing plus proper face cleaning:) might put a bit of sudo cream on the spots that have broken out with all the water I am drinking- read on the Internet somewhere it's v good for spots/blemishes....

I went for a bracing (and rainy) walk by the sea earlier and just Shredded for the first time. Whoa. I definitely can't Shred everyday!

Lavender I think you could put hair oil on wet hair after washing, leave to dry and wash out the following morning. Several posters on here have recommended avacado oil :)

Shock I want to do this!! Just what I need I think. For me it will be a 98 day challenge as I came to this late and today has been a write off diet-wise, but to me The 98-Day-Challenge sounds just as snappy Grin

How exciting!! Well done everyone so far!!

Report
maristella · 16/09/2012 17:47

You can still do the 100 day challenge WopBop and you'll be a Boxing Day princess Grin

I use olive or avocado oil to cleanse and a tiny amount to moisturise, then top up with moisturiser, it's such a booster as my skin is really dry.

No exercise for me today, as I feel sooooo stiff after walking 8 miles last night. The stepper is out ready for the morning though :)

I've had another rubbish day (im sensing a theme to my reports!)

All that has kept me awake today is diet coke and chocolate... Though I'm making the biggest vat of veg soup now so that should tick off one of my to do's!

My mum is back tomorrow and I will gladly hand over her foster kids back to her. Think I may just look at tomorrow as start of my 100 days and block out this weekend!

Everyone else seems to have done brilliantly though :)

Helga have you resisted the Aero today?!

Great day here so far, still struggling with the water though but there's still time yet.

Updated the blog and went for a 4 mile walk with the buggy.

Anyone else noticing that this princessing takes up serious time?!

This looks fantastic. I would like to join in if that's okay? I just need to tweak slightly to suit me!

Not sure about the nail care though, I climb every week and have to cut them really short for it!

Or I'll do a NYE 100 day stint if anybody else has found this late Grin

Folks - try to avoid fizzy water. Apparently it leaches calcium from your bones and is not good for teeth.

Fish oil tip - H&B sell a tasty fish oil which is lemon and lime flavoured. I have a little espresso sized cup of orange juice and my lemon/lime fish oil. Almost tasty!
