Anyone interested in a 100 day "Princessing" challenge?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a 100 day "Princessing" challange?

I've read a few threads on this and the ones that had the best responce were the ones where there was a finish date, like the original one where it was a countdown to the Royal wedding. Otherwise the threads just tend to wither and die a bit.

If we were to start on 15th September (next Saturday), 100 days from that would be 24th December!

Between now and then there will be parties and other events and it would be nice to feel like it's not a last minute panic to feel ready for them and to have some "groundwork" done.

The original guidelines are as follows but feel free to tweek to suit your own circumstances:

  1. 8 glasses of filtered water a day
  2. Exfoliate (everything...within reason)
  3. Use teeth whitener
  4. Use anti-aging face cream
  5. Intensive nail care (feet and hands)
  6. Use eyelash growth serum OR eye cream
  7. The Shred / other intensive exercise
  8. At least 2 extra fruit & veg every day
  9. Healthy breakfast daily
10. Use hair oil (moroccan hair oil for eg, or kerastase etc) 11. No alcohol during the week & no boozing it up on weekends 12. Take vitamins every day 13. Body brushing 14. At least 2 servings of salmon or other fatty fish per week. 15. One early night once a week. Suggest 9PM. 16. Regular hair removal 17. Give up one naughty favourite item e.g. chocolate/crisps 18. No more fizzy drinks 19. DAILY body moisturising 20. Warm water with lemon first thing in the a.m.

Personally, I'm changing no. 3 to use whitening toothpaste and no. 20 to a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar daily

I'm also taking out no. 14 (as I know i'd never manage twice a week so there's no point) and adding one to remove make up EVERY night!

So my personal list is as follows:

  1. 8 glasses of filtered water a day
  2. Exfoliate (everything...within reason)
  3. Use teeth whitening toothpaste
  4. Use anti-aging face cream
  5. Intensive nail care (feet and hands)
  6. Use eyelash growth serum OR eye cream
  7. The Shred / other intensive exercise
  8. At least 2 extra fruit & veg every day
  9. Healthy breakfast daily
10. Use hair oil (moroccan hair oil for eg, or kerastase etc) 11. No alcohol during the week & no boozing it up on weekends 12. Take vitamins every day 13. Body brushing 14. Remove make up EVERY night 15. One early night once a week. Suggest 9PM. 16. Regular hair removal 17. Give up one naughty favourite item e.g. chocolate/crisps 18. No more fizzy drinks 19. DAILY body moisturising 20. Tablespoon of apple cider vinegar daily

The link to the original thread is here, if anyone wants to know the background to how the guidelines were chosen.

So is anyone in? I've posted early so people have a chance to gather supplies if they want. Please note I've been careful to avoid usage of the "C" word! I would also encourage people to personalise their lists. I know that if I see a list of things that aren't relevant to me I tend to not take as much notice of the bits that are relevant.

Count me in. I have just painted my nails, been to body combat this morning. Keep forgetting the water so will fill a jug! 6 weeks to holiday.

addictedisback · 14/09/2012 21:12

re having every thing to hand I went to next and bought (I was hoping to link but i cant find it Sad) a set of 3 toiletry bags for £12. I put my hair bands, clips, nail file and varnish in the smallest, makeup in the middle one and in the largest put my creams, cotton wool etcit means they are all there and ready to use and packed away.

BookFairy · 14/09/2012 22:56

Are we staying here or having a new thread? I've painted my nails, washed my hair and used moroccan oil. Planning on buying flexitol and The Shred tomorrow. Not doing too badly so far! :)

addicted I use (face and body) moisturisers by Lavera. They also do lovely matching shower creams. I buy online from Lucy Rose (on phone so can't link) and they cost approx £8. I'm 26 so don't use anything anti ageing as such, but think that regular moisturising is the best defence?! Do you have an ingredient list for your homemade sugar scrub? :)

Paintyourbox · 15/09/2012 06:49

Addicted I am 26 and I use anti-wrinkle cream! The most important thing is moisturiser with an SPF as the sun causes 90% of ageing.

Garnier 7 day intense body moisturiser (in a green bottle with shea butter for extra dry skin) is amazing stuff! I now have my sister using it too!

Day 1: I am drinking green tea Grin

easy so far

addictedisback · 15/09/2012 08:47

morning all.

paint, its more that I really dont need it. our family seem to have good genes, my mum is 47 and doesnt have any wrinkles yet. I'm not sure what she uses tho, I'll have to ask!

bookfairy I dont remember the recipe Blush I made them last chrstmas as presents but have a few left over. its basicly sugar I used a mixture of granulated and pure cane granulated sugars with olive oil and lemon oils mixed in. I used it for the first time this morning in the shower and the dry skin I had before has gone Grin but I think its alittle too oily, so I may be looking to buy a new one.

I'm about to take my vitimins now and I have my 2ltr bottle of water in the cupboard so I need to get that out.

I forgot to say yesterday Tresemme do a bottle of morrocan oil for abotu £5, I started using it last week and its really nice, it also doubles as a heat syrum so although not exactly cheap it does the job of 2 products.

Paint the Garnier body lotion is on offer at Superdrug at the moment £2.99 instead of £4.99 for a 400ml bottle.

Don't know what it's like, but noticed in Aldi they are (may be on one of their "weekly specials") a hair oil that has argan oil in it - box looks like the Moroccan oil box and is £3.99
