RRM - I couldn't see any yellow shoes on your link, but the snakeskin ones are nice.

OQ - I love the snaky Mary-Janes, but I'm afraid I can't come to terms with those slipper-y things coming into fashion. They just look too much like, well, slippers for my liking. I shall stick to my ballet pumps, I think.

BTM - impressed with the txt spk - you really are "down with the kids". Wink I must be the only person who still uses the apostrophe while texting (saddo).

Are you twelve years old, BTM? Grin

Nah, since I got my Galaxy, with a proper touchscreen keyboard, my friends have been much happier with my texts (they could never understand them before) as I am trying to type in fullSmile

Don't like it now Biscuit

Cremolafoam · 21/07/2012 22:30

Daniel Craig is well peng.Grin

bigTillyMint · 21/07/2012 22:40

Cremola, it's used loads by DD and all the young teens on FB in a very innocuous way. But you could say Daniel Craig is pengGrin

Cremolafoam · 21/07/2012 22:41
Blush

But you couldn't have a 'peng' flush could you. < GrinGrin>

bigTillyMint · 21/07/2012 22:45

Nah, I don't think they would know what a flush was (except in the toilet sense!) Grin

Blackduck · 22/07/2012 07:25

My (child free) friend was amused by ds's use of the word 'sick' to describe something very good.

I remember the 25" waist, but am a short arse so 30" leg would swamp me.....
Out of no where ds asked why I don't have another baby, I pointed out I was too old, he said 'you could try '! Is it time for 'that' talk?

Funny, I never wanted a sister (have two brothers).

RadioRentalMum · 22/07/2012 14:44

OQ I lurve the yellow Mary Janes, thank you for the link, I have to have a pair of those! Smile

oldqueenie · 22/07/2012 15:30

have just spent too much money in hidden toast preview of their archive sale... will post a link but not sure it'll work if not sent to you....
worth a go: bargains!
bought this, this and this! with view to sending at least one of jacket / coats back....

CointreauVersial · 22/07/2012 18:13

OQ, yes, the linky worked.

Hmmm.....not sure I'm althogether a Toast fan - everything looks so oversized and sludgy. And not cheap at full-price either.

But I do like that leather jacket you've bought - looks lovely and soft. This might be nice too, over skinny jeans and a vest top.

oldqueenie · 22/07/2012 18:18

well I'm quite oversized and sludgy CV ....
agree that a lot of toast is a bit droopy and drab but i do buy a fair bit (usually at sale prices) that is more your classic / understated non-fashiony stuff. i do think it's usually quite good quality...
like that jumper!

wilbur · 22/07/2012 19:52

Have just been continuing the clearing out of the shed at new house - a very non-peng acitivty, although satisfying in its way. However, under piles and piles of stuff and crap, I have found a number of sheets of what I am 98% positive is asbestos. There is asbestos in a few places in the house (built in 50s so to be expected) but non free range, as it were, and needing immediate attention. What do I do? I know if it is in sheets it is not the really bad stuff, but it's going to be a shag to get rid of isn't it? Bleurgh, I can feel hours on the phone to the council coming on.

Had my first day volunteering for t'olympics yesterday which was quite fun. Very very glad I didn't take a standing around helping people role as the people doing that look tres bored. I caught sight of myself in a car showroom window in my slacks and appeared to be the same size as the SUV inside.

My Great Plains order arrived and I should have ordered small on the dress - am going to see if they can swap it as it is v pretty and I have to send a couple of other things back as they don't fit. One dress I'm really gutted about - the print is gorgeous but it's huge on top and tight over the hips, not a good look.

I love those snakeskin MJs, oldqueenie, although they look a bit high for me - I need a couple of smart pairs of shoes for work, but tend to go for lower heels as my office has got a flipping spiral staircase that I'm up and down all day so I need a steady base. [Remembers spending most of 1991 at a fave after-work bar with a spiral staircase that I used to skip up and down no problem in heels after 3 martinis. Sigh.]

wilbur · 22/07/2012 19:53

Oh, and CV - deodorant fight? Seriously? How very disgustingly funny. Grin

bigTillyMint · 22/07/2012 19:56

Grin at non-peng activity! AsbestosShock - dunno what you do about it at all!

What does your volunteering role involve wilbur?

Cremolafoam · 22/07/2012 20:03

Oh BTM don't move the asbestos - that's all I know- should be ok if you don't move it.
I was on me knees all day weeding. Lots of oofing now - ill be paralysed tomorrow.
Went with family to see batman but it was sold out so am stuck with Wallander.
Dh now serving the Elderflower champagne we made in May- chilled and in champers glasses.
Aaah lovely.Wine
