My name is Season and I'm a sizzler. I'm on my second diy course of Glycolic Acid 30%.

Sign in here if you're using GA, SA, LA, or MA, or indeed some new hardcore A with a mellow melt and searing sizzle. Smile

I'm sure they mention cold sores in the directions as in contraindicated, did you put the acid on the area you normally get cold sores?

I get cold sores so lucky I probably missed the bit on my lip.

MissFoodie · 25/04/2012 21:48

kaumana will be interesting to see if you peel, I started about 2 days after the peel..... :(

cat is that free stylin or shining? ;)

kaumana · 25/04/2012 21:53

MissFoodie- I promise to update on my nose and chin experience.

Maraki · 25/04/2012 22:08

May I join you? Just did my first GA peel 30% for 2 mins. Stung a bit around my nose and my skin felt REALLY tight afterwards so I put my usual (really oily) Clarins night cream on. Now I read that they only recommend hyalyronic serum afterwards, hope I havent messed things up? Confused
(I did wait an hour after cleansing)

LittleMissMac · 25/04/2012 23:19

I'm jumping on board too. SA sizzle pack is in the post from Forever Young, including whatever white-labcoat-ish accompanying moisturisers and serums they recommended.

I'm going for the burn. After a lifetime of vaguely crap skin, I'm looking forward to getting my own back...

rusmum · 26/04/2012 07:28

4 th ga peel tonight! No noticeable difference yet Sad

Bluebirdpies · 26/04/2012 08:36

My name's bluebird and I'm a sizzle virgin but need to pop my cherry.

Do you think GA is the best option for dryer skin?

flexes bank card, ready to sizzle

kaumana · 26/04/2012 09:34

bluebird I would opt for the GA, SA is better for blocked pores etc.

AprilSky · 26/04/2012 09:58

I've been lurking here since the first thread and did my 4th GA 30% peel on Sunday. I am seeing great results.

I ordered the night cream last week and decided to get the dermaflannel too. I am amazed at the results on my body having only used it twice! The angry red sun damage on my chest has all but gone, bumps on my arms reduced, spots on back clearer than they have been for years. Wonder if anyone else has tried this?

jen127 · 26/04/2012 14:58

Catin Is the 50% more stingier than the 30% and do you see a difference between the both or is your skin so perfect now, it doesn"t matter ? Smile

hotsauce · 26/04/2012 17:08

Mine arrived today, I did a patch test on my chest. all seems fine but I am a little nervous. I may be brave and go for it later. eek

50% is a bit stingier but I built up to it from 20% LA to 30% GA after a disatatarous start with the 50%

Skin looks brill now. No pores, fine line diminished and really smooth and taut. I have bad pigmentation marks from pregnancy but they don't seem to be shifting.

Has anyone else noticed that their make-up stays on better? At work, mine has normally gone by lunch time.

Today I worked for 8 hours outside on a stableyard, really sweaty etc. I couldn't believe when I looked in the mirror when I got it that it looked exactley the same as when I put it on this morning at 7am!!!

MissFoodie · 26/04/2012 18:44

If anyone is interested in doing SA I have a bottle of 10% and a bottle of 20% they can have - only about 1/5 used (don't know how they calculate 1 bottle does 2 series of peels???You can get at least 5 series of peels out of one!)

If someone wants them, DM me and I will post. Nothing wrong with it, just I'm moving on to GA and seems a waste to have them sitting on the shelf!

WeesaD · 26/04/2012 19:45

I've been looking at the skin under my eyes, and I think it's worse....it seems more lined, and drier.
Has anyone else found this?

hotsauce · 26/04/2012 19:49

toughas, how long are you leaving it for? also what is the deal with washing your face as I didn't see anything about that in the forever beauty instructions.

hotsauce · 26/04/2012 21:53

well I've done it, fingers crossed I look normdl tomorrow

OMG!
i used 15% salycylic / lactic mix suggested on the last thread, second application (3 minutes total) and my skin looks (nearly) clear.

just promise me we will start a support group if our heads fall off.

bewitchedandbewildered · 27/04/2012 11:31

Hi, I'm new here but have lurked on the old thread and this one till now.

You lot convinced me with this and I did my first peel last Thursday. Did 3 minutes with 30% GA then 5 minutes with 50% GA, on the same night. Don't think the double peeling was the issue as much as not using the neutralizer the second time round but jumping into the shower instead.

Big mistake!

I woke up looking like I had some sort of contagious pox. It's cleared up now and tonight I'm going to be doing the 50% for 5 minutes again. But I will actually use and be extra generous with the neutralizer this time round!

I love the end results I got from the last time, now that it's cleared up. My skin is smoother and softer, my pores are a whole lot smaller, and the horrible "cracking of the chin" that happened somewhere around the age of 44 is now only visible when I've got my reading glasses on. The mission is to vanquish them!

TheWisdomOfSolomum · 27/04/2012 14:28

Bleeding Hell Bewitched! You did all that on the one night?

I've done 2 mins 30% GA and now I'm waiting a WEEK (yes a whole full 7 days, timed right to the minute!!!) before touching it again.

You is hardcore! Grin

TheWisdomOfSolomum · 27/04/2012 14:32

While I'm here, can anyone recommend some daily skincare containing GA, I've heard a bit about Alpha H and liked the sound of it when I read up on it, but there are reviews slating the ingredients i.e. contains alcohol, high glycerin content etc. Was wondering if there are any more "natural" products with GA?

cybbo · 27/04/2012 14:47

Did sizzle numero 4 last night

Pores smaller, less blocked

11's and forehead horizontals reduced

Still have gravy stain on right cheek though

AmazingDisgrace · 27/04/2012 16:57

I did my 4th SA one too last night Cyb. Pores are much much better and my skin is lovely and soft. I haven't had a single spot since starting this stuff either which is unheard of for a whole month!

brighthair · 27/04/2012 17:54

Mine has arrived. Should I patch test on my arm before my face?
I have 20% SA/LA from forever young which came with neutralising gel
