My name is Season and I'm a sizzler. I'm on my second diy course of Glycolic Acid 30%.

Sign in here if you're using GA, SA, LA, or MA, or indeed some new hardcore A with a mellow melt and searing sizzle. Smile

Ggirl, I found it by joves!
dermaroller.owndoc.com/dermaroller-instructions.pdf
This has the full info on the Vit C process in the precare section.
And the infadolan is also good. It is actually a nappy care ointment, but great for after care.
And their rollers are great and much cheaper than others.

BTW, if you want a tattoo needle for individual needling, let me know. DP is a tattooist so we have a few around the place. I can pop one in an envelope! Grin

Beckamaw · 13/06/2012 16:53

BTW, Hetaera,
You need the 1mm-2mm for stretch-marks. Owndoc.com is a good supplier.
I have a 2mm and a 0.3 for facial use. The 0.2 are a bit useless IMHO.

I am not affiliated with Owndoc BTW. Have just done a lot of homework over the years. All their products are backed up with independent research.
The copper peptide face masks are good too.

thenightsky · 13/06/2012 22:40

Oh God, oh God

the right side of my face from my nose to my jaw is a mess of acne or something, maybe excema Sad Is this likely to be the GA 30%? I just did my 5th sizzle

Its like blisters or spots with fluid in them and the skin around is red and flaky. Whatever I put on makes it worse. I've now resorted to washing face in T-gel theraputic shampoo.

MissFoodie · 13/06/2012 22:45

oh no....has this just come up after 5th sizzle? literally within minutes?

thenightsky · 13/06/2012 22:50

No... it started small.. a couple of spots after the 3rd sizzle, so I left it well over a week before doing the 4th. It got a bit better so I cracked on with the 5th last night. When I got up this morning I'd got blisters and stuff and some scabs. I'm tempted to squeeze the fluid filled lumps, but afraid they may scab. The skin around them is really dry too,, but if I put on anything moisturising the spots/lumps get bigger and harder. I'm thinking tomorrow I'll go to chemist and get some steroid cream or something.

MissFoodie · 13/06/2012 22:52

ouf doesnt sound good, like some kind of reaction to it, I would leave well alone, spritz with toner/water based serum, and use a simple light cream, try not to fiddle with it; I wouldnt use steroid cream either;

what creams have you got?

thenightsky · 13/06/2012 22:54

I've got Savlon, Boots Lift and Luminate or some Bio-oil. I'm going to leave it naked overnight though and see how I am in the morning. I'll need mega cover up make up for work though.

MissFoodie · 13/06/2012 22:57

maybe just savlon, bio oil will be a bit too greasy, the boots stuff might aggravate it -
good luck

MissFoodie · 13/06/2012 22:59

you could always get some aloe vera gel too?

thenightsky · 13/06/2012 23:05

Yes... I thought Aloe Vera too. I might go into town tomorrow after work and see what a pharmacist could suggest.

SeasonOfTheWitch · 14/06/2012 22:34

yo sizzlers. checking back in after hols.

missfoodie have you noticed any difference yet?

hey bubble normally i'd say go for the 30% GA and do a patch test, stick to all the instructions and using SPF but not sure if that wouldn't suit your skin after the treatment. sorry but i'm not knowledgeable enough to give you advice on this. maybe if you're unsure then try a 10% or 15% GA cream? i've been v impressed with the 10% one i've been using.

nightsky how's your blisters now?!

i'm boringly sworn off sizzling for the 'summer' although judging by the forecast i might reconsider. i've got a bravura goodie bag of the 15% GA night cream and some SA (thought i might just do that on my nose) awaiting me at the post-office tho.

oh but in other news... I'm having my eyebrows tattooed tomorrow!

OP posts:
thenightsky · 14/06/2012 23:17

I am now thinking my face has athletes foot. It itches like buggery and is getting tight and scaly looking. I'm applying steroid cream tonight as a last resort. I look dreadful Sad

I am wondering if the sizzle has nothing to do with it though. I have been eating a poor diet recently (too much sugar and alcohol) plus I'm a bit hormonal and PMT-ish.

catinboots · 15/06/2012 07:56

oooh - Season I had my eyebrows tatooed last year! BESTEST thing I've ever done (also had eyeliner)

I luve my eyebrows. I wake up in the morning looking quite groomed IYSWIM

My eyebrows were fair and a bit scrappy

Is it your first time???

catinboots · 15/06/2012 07:57

thenightsky - sudocrem works miracles. Try putting a thin layer under your make-up today if you have to go to work. It heals up sore bits and dry bits really quickly and acts as a primer

MissFoodie · 15/06/2012 09:18

no major difference yet, no, will do 3rd sizzle this w/e and report back.....

MissFoodie · 15/06/2012 09:20

forgot to say, def felt smoother after 2nd sizzle, but only for a couple of days....

MrsBovary · 15/06/2012 11:32

I had to abandon sizzling (I think I was due to do sizzle number five?) and have a break, due to a slight sunburn across cheekbone area a few weeks ago and yet I used spf 30. Have now bought a wide brimmed hat and will use sunblock Smile. If we get any more hot weather that is....

I started again last night. Sizzle one, four minutes, 30% GA. And I love the 15% night cream, produces lovely smooth skin indeed!

mumofjust1 · 17/06/2012 17:01

I'd love to try this at home - will it help minimize pores?

How do I start?

Will I definately not burn my face off??

BubbleBobble · 17/06/2012 21:55

I think I'm going to start with the SA. I know I don't react to it and the idea of having to use a neutraliser scares me a little bit, hehe.

thenightsky · 17/06/2012 23:03

Cured my Athletes Foot of the Face. Been washing face in T-Gel shampoo (the one that smells like coal tar). Then lashings of 1% hydrocortisone steroid cream.

I won't be doing sizzle number 6 tomorrow. Think I'll have a 3 or 4 week break then start again.

SeasonOfTheWitch · 18/06/2012 08:38

Love my new brows cat! i had them done years ago and was happy with them but this woman seems miles better so i think i'm going to be super happy this time once they settle down and fade a bit.

How well are yours lasting?

I had the eyeliner last time but she did a terrible job on it so was put off doing that again. I was a bit tempted after seeing this new woman (hers was gorge) but I've sworn off black these days and i'm not sure if brown would look a bit odd.

high-fives nightsky

mumofjust1 have you bought it yet? deffo won't burn your face off if you follow instructions and do a patch test Smile and don't use a year old bottle of 50% like some madder on this thread cat i believe Grin

i'm now using the 15% night cream and loving it. am wondering about doing another sizzle course tho given crap weather and that my spf 45 did a good job in the ibizan sun last week.

Seasonofthewitch - haven't brought anything!

What do I start with?

SeasonOfTheWitch · 19/06/2012 23:34

what do you want to achieve? or asking another way - what are your shit bits? blackheads, lines, spots, pigmentation...?

OP posts:
SeasonOfTheWitch · 19/06/2012 23:34

oh and i did a whole minute of 10% SA on my nose last night. couldn't quite tell you why it was just my nose but there you have it.

OP posts:
mumofjust1 · 19/06/2012 23:37

Shit bits are - pigmentation, open pores, fine lines

Also have rosacea on one cheek Hmm
