Sorry about thread title. Hope everyone is back from holidays soon and will find us here.

amber Which JBrands did you get?

bonsoir I tried on those two tops in Cos before Easter and was tempted too. Bought a simple navy dress in Cos and shoes, which are not on the website Hmm. Will return this top. Cos is great at the moment I think.

Maybe I should have added a Wink to the title....

910s fritzi, on offer for £50! Also this Maje tee which I couldn't resist! I did a sweep of Cos earlier in the month and bought a load of basic tops. I think their quality is great for the price. Super title!

Hopefully · 10/04/2012 19:29

I need some purchases to harp on about! I ordered some more lovely Teapigs tea and match powder the other day, does that count? Grin

Ooh, actually I do have a purchase. I finally snagged a Lily & Lionel scarf on ebay, the London scene sepia one, and I'm really pleased with it. It won't get too much use over the summer, but I'm pleased to have it ready for cooler days and the autumn.

Have also bought a couple of Sweaty Betty bits on Ebay - it is awesome for exercise clothes, I have discovered. There are so many 'worn once or twice' listings from people who have patently bought all the gear for a health kick then given up. Also got a couple of BNWT sports bras so I have more than one to wash and dry every couple of days.

Ooh, and I ordered a load of Kettlewell stuff to try, but I'll only keep a couple of bits probably, just wanted to see some of their new colours and try out a few combinations.

In other news, I have a business meeting next week where I have to look good. WTF should I wear? I'm thinking either slim trousers or pencil skirt and some low-ish heels with one of the hypothetical Kettlewell tops and a blazer, but I don't actually own a single one of those items of clothing just yet. Eek! And I definitely won't have time to finish one of my blazers before next week (and they're both a bit casual for this sort of thing). Shopping may be necessary...

Hello All.

Great to hear about Easter breaks.

Lovely sunny day here, had lunch out with DH as it's the last day of his paternity leave with just DD. He goes back to work on Friday. I have both DC's on the following Wednesday and DH has to go away overnight with work. So I am dreading trying to cope with the two of them given my scar is still so painful. Suspect I'll be having a big ole glass on wine by Wednesday evening!

Managed to have a quick look around the shops, oh it's so good to be looking at clothes without being heavily pregnant again. Whilst I need to lose some weight, at least I can vaguely visualise what things could look like. So, with that in mind I have a current wish list:

Red skinnies
Cobalt skinnies
Grey skinnies
Pretty white blouse - Amber I think I'll get that Gap one that you have.
Shrunken and bleached Denim Jacket - Will go to H&M as have a voucher
Chambray shirt - I like this one
Leopard print sandals - Probably will get Red's Warehouse ones.

Would still like a new dress, am hoping Whistles will come up with something in a few weeks. Still hankering after some olive houlihans, but ideally would like to pay less that £100 for them. Ebay it is.

Amber, oh, 910's are my favourites. Which colour did you get? Have they got lots on offer?

Ollie the Whistles Peggy comes up massive in RL. I do like the WC top.

Both Cos tops are very pretty Bonsoir and a good price. I really like some of the Laura Mercier palates at the moment, this looks very pretty.

You sounds very motivated to run Marsha good for you.

Don't worry Hopefully a few days of being 'good' and you'll be back on the wagon again. I started My Fitness Pal'ing today too.

Hopefully · 10/04/2012 19:30

I love the look of all the Cos stuff, but it is totally wrong for my shape/clothing personality/life. Sigh.

suburbanstyle · 10/04/2012 20:02

Lovely to read about everybody's Easter breaks. Mine was fairly uneventful just lots of boring DIY. The bit where I can pick out cushions and candles seems to be a long way off.

Grin at Hopefully's phwoar. You have convinced me to give the shred a go. Managed to loose my scales when we moved, but can tell from the size of my muffin top I need to loose at least half a stone.

Enjoying all the blazer talk. I only have one, a boxy navy one from Gap that I wore to death last year. Have just ordered this one from Dorothy Perkins as an alternative. Is it me getting on or has Dorothy Perkins suddenly upped it's game a bit lately? Not so much in store, but keep finding really nice things on their website.

Love the sound of you outlet purchases annie. We went to an outlet centre yesterday and everything in the Kurt Geiger store was £19 or under. Sadly it was rammed and like Bonsoir I was playing the virtuous I don't need to buy things all the time card to DP so I didn't even go in.

Mrs CB I did eventually track down that picture of Lisa Armstrong in a peplum top she does indeed look fabulous. Then I noticed Emmanuelle Alt stole your white jeans and chambray shirt outfit maybe she is a lurker Grin.

Am off to start the rigmarole that is fake tanning.

OllieinOrange · 10/04/2012 20:55

Great title as always Fritzi. Did you keep any of your DP order? Just been reading the thread about all the discount codes and feel I should order something Smile
Some v prtty bird print tops - either out of stock or wrong shape for me tho. Nice zebra pony skin belt for 12 pounds before discount of anyone is looking?

So I tried Ripped in 30 today - OMG! Am scurrying back to Shred forthwith. Hated it - was all v fast and furious, JM sounded like she had swallowed a self help manual and as for Shelly at the back - shudder! She was overtanned and over muscled - not nice to look at when you are throwing yourself around the lounge getting all hot and bothered. Is 6W6P any better?

Hopefully got an email from HoF today and the Mary Portas collection as a nice brown leather jacket if you are still looking for one?

Bonsoir I saw the first Cos top you linked to last week - I loved its print and colourway.

MiM thats a great summer list. I wasn't sure about red skinnies for me but tried the Oasis cherry ones last week when trying to work out their sizing (was thinking about getting some coral ones) and liked on.
Am tempted by the WC top - just concerned it would add width to my already wide hip area. Like the Whistles one too tho - shame I cant try it on tho. Am hoping to see a cheaper alternative somewhere like Zara when I get a chance for a proper browse.

Hopefully · 10/04/2012 21:01

Thanks Ollie, I'll check it out. I am quite into Ripped now - it took a while to get over the even-more-Jillianesque-Jillian, but I like it now. I am alternating RI30 L2 and Shred L2 (I find it harder than L3), but I may brave Ripped L3 this week at some point, as I am aware that I do not actually feel like dying after L2 any more, even though I am normally running on the same day I do it (albeit 12 hours earlier).

MIM is your scar just 'recovery' kind of painful, or worryingly painful? Do get it checked out if you're really suffering - would be awful to be in agony while your DH is away!

blossoming · 10/04/2012 21:46

Hi everyone. Thank you lovely fritzi for the new thread. I was racking my brains to come up with something, but sort of glad you beat me to it! Was rofl'ing at the thought of ants feeling sorry for your outdoor furniture too.
Hope this week whizzes by for you ants. I'm sure that week will be a highly important week in your life. Are your sister and mother going to the colours at the same time as you?
marsha, I love your enthusiasm. Hope you got some good stuff. I'm with hopefully on the Sweaty Betty stuff though. Really love it. I did some running on the treadmill of the hotel gym and although I find treadmills so boring, and I get obsessed with the stats, I was completely worked out by the end of the session, to the extent of having to peel my clothes off. Lovely image! Love a good workout though. Especially afterwards.
On that note, word of caution to fleecy and anyone else doing 6w6p, I only do level one, and still get great results. Level 2 has given me bad back ache to the extent of not being able to work out at all. I think notyummy's DH had the same problem.

bonsoir, I know we have different styles, but I rate Bobbi Brown and MAC for make up, apart from mascaras, where I buy whatever, wherever, but usually £10 +.
dauphin, I stayed a las arenas resort hotel in Valencia. Really luxurious. Reminded me of the hotels in Singapore. Will definitely go back, maybe even for a long weekend sometime.

I have been reading up and thinking, I must remember.... but I have forgotten already. ollie, I really hope you're talking to your DH again though!
Last night I came home after a long journey, the car in the wrong airport etc etc, freezing cold. Was in the stylish attire of all my clothes on, including roxy, then my uggs, then my big white bathrobe over the top, and my cashmere beret. I did tell DH to leave the heating on timer when we were away... We were so not talking either!
But on an airport chic note, I really liked my roxy, closed for the first time, with 50/50s and my black jbrands with a new cross body bag! No, it was my daughter's bright pink trunki, but it did give me the idea that when you have less belly, cross body bags become an option. I will be dipping into my expensive bag savings I think.
Can't wait to get everyone back from their easter trips, thread has been way to quiet for my liking!

blossoming · 10/04/2012 21:55

Loving this toucan scarf.

AmberNectarine · 10/04/2012 21:56

MiM they're a sort of vintagey wash, I think they were just trying to get rid of sale dregs as they has a big box of tops they were selling off for £20 too, all Splendid, By Zoe etc. Worth a look if anyone's planning a Westfield trip!

ollie 6w6p good, but yes I stick to level one and it does take nearly 40 mins! I love ripped though, and yes Shelly is permatanned, but my god those abs!!

polyhymnia · 10/04/2012 21:57

bonsoir I think By Terry makeup is excellent but, as you live in Paris, where I originally discovered the products - now in all Space N Ks - I guess you are already very familiar with the range.

OllieinOrange · 10/04/2012 22:04

Agree Bloss i worry that people go on their holidays and we will never see them again! Hurry back people!
I felt bad for DH as I was v uncommunicative yesterday so left him a little smiley note by his shoes as he had an early start this am and out this evening. He rang earlier and agreed to having some extra painting done in the house. Am wondering if I have hit on a new way to get my own way to communicate with DH. Smile

I bought these and love them. Personally I prefer them to the Ash ones and they are so much cheaper. They are so comfortable, and are easing me back into heels after far too many years in flats. Smile

lololizzy · 10/04/2012 23:56

today got Manuka Doctor bee venom skin repairing cream hoping it will sort out all the dry flaky bits that Sudocrem has caused...no amount of gunk or exfolation is shifting them...wish I'd never read about the 'virtues' of Sudo'!

notyummy · 11/04/2012 00:06

Another quick hellO from me- back inSingapore this time. Normal service should resumed next week. No purchases bar face creams in duty free.

On theJM front, I wouldn't give up too easily with Ripped Ollie- I know what you mean about the self help though!! L1 Ripped v easy I think but other levels have got really good variety of different exercises in which make great alternative to shred. Your body will be challenged b the different stuff. Jillian came withe on hOliday and I hoping a combination of her, lots of runs in Oz and hotel gyms in SingapOre will have staved off the huge breakfast damage....

AmberNectarine · 11/04/2012 07:12

Oh and yy to shopping for others. I was in WC yesterday and saw a broderie top I thought ollie might like here

blossoming · 11/04/2012 09:41

Is it wrong to consider this per una top? I need more navy in my life (disclaimer).

blossoming · 11/04/2012 09:44

I should be RL shopping tomorrow. May give this a go too.

Slaymill · 11/04/2012 09:59

The hotel looks lovely bloss did they do anything for children ? Love your airport look :)

In town with DD, meeting DH for lunch later. I love school holidays and spending whole days with DD. Also made great progress with decluttering the house. Almost addictive Smile
