Sorry about thread title. Hope everyone is back from holidays soon and will find us here.

amber Which JBrands did you get?

bonsoir I tried on those two tops in Cos before Easter and was tempted too. Bought a simple navy dress in Cos and shoes, which are not on the website Hmm. Will return this top. Cos is great at the moment I think.

Bloss, Chloe does nice messenger bags, think they are called Marcie. Also Marc by Marc Jacobs. Is the Alexa a satchel? I do like it. I also use this Anya Hindmarch a lot.

AmberNectarine · 12/04/2012 17:16

Ooh blue where are you staying? I'm looking for Sept...

blossoming · 12/04/2012 17:39

Am playing dutiful wife, will fess up later. But no totting up! Then stopped in S'sburys and bought 6 each of Brouilly and Fleurie. Will keep us happy till next half term supplemented by the Co-Op's finest if desperate!
decam, yes, no to Alexa. I think. Unless it's shiny and structured. And black!

blossoming · 12/04/2012 17:41

Lol, that's ants' MJ decam!

So I went to White Co and bought, a waterfall cardigan. Well, if mrscb can like bootcuts... (and also saw a stylish lady in the airport wearing one), also fritzi's dress in an 8 wtf. Also this top, this crinkle wool scarf and a navy linen vest which is not on site.
I had a voucher for WC, arrived this morning Wink
In the lovely shiny new Jigsaw I bought another waterfall cardigan - black cashmere quite chunky one, also not on site, but will keep me warm in draughty houses between now and the central heating coming back on. It's my first cashmere anything I think, so I hotfooted it to Lakeland and bought mothballs, more egg poachers, some tongs and a potato peeler so I can help DH who will insist on doing all the veg himself on a Sunday. On the way I popped into LK Bennett and there was a scarf in the colour 'gunmetal' so direct marketing in place, and I bought that too, also not on the site. Popped into Debenhams to get the Chanel April, then to R&B where I almost spent £245 on a bag, but resisted. Then M&S for new underwear, and summer weight grey tights for work as I will mostly be wearing skirts and dresses as I am between sizes in ALL trousers apart from jeans.
Thank heavens for not everything being on site so you can't work out how much all that was!
ollie there's a couple of long sleeve white tops in White Co?

OllieinOrange · 12/04/2012 18:37

Thats great Bloss, a capsule wardrobe in a day. How lovely. And given how hard you work for it, i wouldnt give the total cost a second thought. You're worth it and all that!

suburbanstyle · 12/04/2012 18:52

Great haul there bloss. Really like the White co. cardigan, I have a camel waterfall cardigan that I bought for keeping warm at home, but somehow manage to wear all the time!

blue I have Rayban Wayfarers and Aviators. The Aviators were a gift and like you I was terrified of breaking them, but they are actually quite robust. The pair DP chose for me were too big and when I took them back they took a smaller pair and then shaped them exactly to fit my face. They are also guaranteed against breakages for the first year which was quite reassuring.

Bonsoir · 12/04/2012 18:59

I caved in and bought the two Cos tops! I had loads of really boring errands to run (train tickets, art supplies for DD, pyjamas for DSSs...) and felt I needed a reward afterwards Blush and decided to go shopping in the Marais, where I never normally go as I lived in that direction from 1992 to 2003 and am fed up to the back teeth of the whole bobo vibe that has totally invaded the area in the last 15 years. Every time I do go I am ever more horrified by the way the once utterly romantic rue des Francs-Bourgeois and surrounding streets have morphed into a premium mall. Cos has invaded the former bath house in the rue des Rosiers Sad. Still, I made the best of a bad thing and had a very good look at the shops (did some make-up shopping in Bobbi Brown) and had lunch in the Rose Bakery where the food was surprisingly delicious but the service dire. The staff were so busy watching themselves pose that customers barely got a look in Angry.

Decameron · 12/04/2012 19:14

Lovely buys, Bloss, and my favourite wine too. :)

I also like RayBans, a lot of sunglasses are way too big on me.

Bonsoir, sounds like a good afternoon to me!

suburbanstyle · 12/04/2012 19:15

Also meant to add to MiM that I lived in leggings and tunics or tea dresses for ages post birth. I also misguidedly bought a pair of metallic birkenstocks Blush Hope you manage to find some cheap and cheerful bits to see you through the next few weeks and that you manage to get your scar sorted/some hardcore pain relief. Saw some quite nice button through shirt dresses in Primark today which looked good for breastfeeding.

AmberNectarine · 12/04/2012 19:19

I love the cardi bloss, I like waterfalls in general but DH took the piss out of me when I bought one so that went the eBay journey. Should I really be taking style tips from someone who'd have me looking like an extra in Band of Gold given the chance? White Co have some lovely stuff in at the moment, am planning on picking up a couple of little jersey dresses for summer.

Decameron · 12/04/2012 19:33

I got a White Co discount code with my supermarket order this morning, OCD18 for 15% off and free delivery.

MrsCampbellBlack · 12/04/2012 20:12

Snap Dec Smile

And I think most DH's are of the ahem more 'obvious' school of fashion. Is it short and tight then it'll be a hit.

Lovely purchases Bloss - particularly like the stripey top.

We're off out for dinner on Sat night to local very nice restaurant - will be wearing DVF I had for christmas and bargain bronze louboutins from outnet sale last year.

However feel fat so will be underpinned by spanx - poor DH Wink

Hopefully · 12/04/2012 20:20

I have a waterfall I really like from BlushBlush M&S. All your purchases look fab and v you Bloss.

Suburban I also live in tunics and leggings. Was too fat for anything else! Plus it allowed good scar healing (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it).

Am I the only one not even slightly surprised that Bonsoir caved? Grin

Marsha I always used to love getting dressed up for horse rosin competitions. Used to pretend to complain to fit in, but loved my smart riding clothes.

Am returning most of my Kettlewell order, only keeping skirt and square neck top. Quality great, as always, but some of their shapes are v old lady this season. However, return has allowed me to order Me and Em dress (ok, dresses. And a tshirt) and huge Stella and Dot order - after FLE reminded me earlier that accessories are the perfect way to add the drama I need to my outfits - have been feeling a bit frumpy of late. Will link later, am out buying chocolate after long walk to FLE's and back earlier.

Hopefully · 12/04/2012 20:21

Riding, not rosin!

MrsCampbellBlack · 12/04/2012 20:30

Love how we're all confessing to our dirtly little fashion secrets - someone will be on next saying they like mum boots Wink

I lived in the white co roll top trousers and boden cardigans for months after each of my dcs were born.

MIM hope you're ok and I didn't scare you away with my bossiness over your scar. Its just I know many medics and they do tend to ignore stuff with themselves . . .

Bonsoir - I too knew you'd get the Cos tops Smile

Emo76 · 12/04/2012 20:40

hello I love all the spring avidness taking place here!

this week has been a bit mad with DH then our nanny sick with a horrid bug, we are going away for a long weekend "en France" tomorrow with my family which is exciting (if only DD2 would stop waking up so early...we're back to 5.30am again aaaargh). have failed to start packing and am so frazzled that I can't really be bothered to give it a lot of thought (I know I will regret this once there!)

I had a panic in FCUK the other day as I had a credit note which was about to go out of date , I got some white skinny jeans they look bl**dy awful but I think I can swap them (for another credit note)

mim hope things are gradually getting more comfortable.

no mum boots here but say they came back "in" to fashion....?

OllieinOrange · 12/04/2012 20:45

Hopefully I think I have missed a post. Did DH acept the job offer away from where you live now? Big news if so!

OllieinOrange · 12/04/2012 20:51

Shall I now confess to owning some wide leg white linen trousers? Hasten to add I only really wear them to the pool/beach on holiday. Smile

Hopefully · 12/04/2012 21:26

Ollie he has turned down the local job and we are definitely relocating (assuming all goes well at meeting next week to look at contracts and chat through details etc). Which means I will be doing what I want to do, finally! I am so excited. Really hope there's no nasty surprises at the meeting. Am having huge amounts of fun window shopping for a work wardrobe now Grin

Emo hope everyone is recovered for family trip, and that you don't come down with it too! Mine are early risers but thankfully I only tend to see 5:30 am on my own terms (i.e. on running mornings).

Grr, my Stella and Dot order is not happening - keep getting frozen screen of death when I click to pay. Will phone in the morning.

FritziGreenEyes · 12/04/2012 21:27

Great buys today bloss, ollie and bonsoir!

ollie I didn't find anything I like in Esprit. Got lured in by Gisele Wink.

Hi deca! Good to have you back. Missed your posts.

Unpacked my summer stuff today and don't think I need much for summer really. Unless summer starts tomorrow and lasts until the end of September.

OP posts:
Hopefully · 12/04/2012 21:33

OK, order placed. It would help if I actually put my name on the card details bit Blush. I have ordered (among other things. Ahem), a couple of pieces from their 'la coco' range. I wasn't that struck initially, but really like the way they put things together in the video, which you can see on this product listing and some v simple fairly discreet earrings. I was seriously tempted by the palomino necklace, but just can't justify that right now, and really like the gold clutch, but think it is a bit shiny for me.

Hopefully · 12/04/2012 21:34

Fritzi you never know, we could be in for a six month heat wave.

I remember being so pleased when I was pregnant with DS1 that it was a really cool summer, but I swear it's been a freezing cold summer every single one since then too. I'm ready for some sunshine!

blossoming · 12/04/2012 21:47

Never fear ladies, for today I have purchased hard core knitwear. I predict 30C from tomorrow onwards!
I am obviously ignoring the fresh snow on the mountain.

Enjoy emo! Take scarves. And boots.

I do wish I'd lived in Paris bonsoir. I was in Annecy. Very lovely though.

hopefully I meant to say earlier that Kettlewell has gone frump-de-dump this season in a big way.

You will look fabulous mrscb. Any link to the shoes?
