LTEC love the sound of your V&A mooching with cute baby boy

Thanks for new thread Mac

I'm much, much better today. Yes slightly atypical presentation Looby but all good now.

Shame about the boots Roman - haven't got mine yet.

I have to confess I am the owner of A LOT of kitchen gadgets/appliances. I've got the kitchenaid, magimix and flash hand mixer thing! Love them all. OWW the KA is fab for baking and I do loads of that so obviously essential - I've had mine for almost 10 years and the magimix for almost as long too. Both going strong although have had to replace a few bits of Magimix due to overuse Blush Looking forward to the day that I have an equally lovely kitchen to accomodate all my stuff. At the moment a lot of it has to live in the garage until required.

notyummy · 25/01/2011 17:27

Stamp!

blossoming · 25/01/2011 18:15

ollie, I have a kitchen aid stand alone mixer and a kitchen aid blender. Love both. I also have a cheap magimix type blender thing which I also use - more of a processor. Kitchen Aid mixer was a wedding present, and I use it loads to bake and make pizza bases. It looks good too. I think I need all three, the processor for making pastry, crumble topping, the blender to blend and pulse food/soup. I also want one of the hand held blenders too!
Thanks for the tip ants. I'm going to try them on this weekend.
So the boden cardigan is not going back. Wore it today. Was perfect. Quite warm, and bright for a miserable day.
ltec, did I miss you were eating meat again? Lunch sounds delish. Good luck with preparation for the move.

blossoming · 25/01/2011 18:24

carciofi, have you seen the boden maternity collection?

LetThemEatCake · 25/01/2011 18:30

bloss just chicken. It was necessary for family harmony/ being able to actively participate in meals. Despite what anyone might think, I do regard such things as highly important! Grin

hellsbelles · 25/01/2011 18:34

Phew! Thanks Mac.

Despite my power outfit my body wasn't playing ball! I seem to have some sort of infection that requires weeing every 10 minutes. Lovely. And as you can imagine, very professional in meetings.

But no matter...I have antibiotics now. Though in my haste to get it sorted I managed to get a same day appointment. As I was rushing to get there I remembered with horror that as part of my 'get groomed' process I was getting myself ready for a wax (well I have been ready for a while now!) and I think the dr would have had a heart attack if faced with my hair legs and worse. So I had to dash into a chemist, buy a bic razor and do a quick repair job in the hospital loos!

Red - I couldn't find gypsy wedding on catch up TV and then made the mistake of watching the last 5 mins of Silent Witness Shock which made me completely forget about it

Roma ouch! Poor you.

Itsnotunusual...I have that VWA and I love it. I actually wore it a lot in Summer (looks good with bare legs and a tan)...but because of my horrid bottom I did have to wear spanx - which I find with all of her dresses. Just to warn you (though you may have a lovely peachy bottom and it may not be an issue)

hellsbelles · 25/01/2011 18:35

err - just to correct my grammar - I don't actual wee in the meeting itself Grin

redllamayellowllama · 25/01/2011 18:41

Hells, here it is. And as if that wasn't amazing enough, there's another episode tonight.

I now have kitchen appliance envy.

FritziGreenEyes · 25/01/2011 18:59

mac Thanks for starting a new thread and also for your comments re: relationship issues. Food for thought...

hells Hope the ABs work and ease your discomfort. Hot water bottle and gypsy wedding for you tonight?! Smile

notyummy How did your interview go?

roma Enjoy your quiet night with a glass of that nice champagne. Might ease the pain too Wink.

I have kitchen appliance envy right now. The Kitchen Aid looks loves but I don't know if I would really use it that often as I'm only an occasional baker. What I would love to have is a gadget that shreds/slices vegetables for salads etc. Can the Kitchen Aid do that too? Or would I need a processor? Off to google and expand my vocab Grin.

Romanholiday · 25/01/2011 19:07

Marking my place, and recommending again my magimix, which does shred etc. I use it just about every day and haven't replaced any of it at all in the 7 years I've had it. Very good.

FritziGreenEyes · 25/01/2011 19:30

Thanks, have added a Magimix to my Amazon wishlist!

carciofi · 25/01/2011 19:35

Lovely dress, ItsNotUnusual.

Hells, glad to hear you don't pee in meetings!

Bloss, I just had a look at Boden maternity and not keen on it at all. I am still in normal clothes though looking a bit pudgy.

Fritzi, regular nights out sound like a great idea. I also have a Magimix, it's good.

Can't wait for Silent Witness tonight!

hellsbelles · 25/01/2011 19:37

Red THANK YOU!

Why are we talking about magimix? I must have missed something. I have one and I love it.

notyummy · 25/01/2011 19:43

Hi all - I am afraid I can't contribute on the kitchen appliance discussion as we are a bit rubbish there!

Interview went OK thanks Fritzi. I had an hour to do a a strategic planning exercise beforehand, some of which was very 'a wing and a prayer'... Interview itself was quite probing, but fair, and I don't think I embarrassed myself. It's fair to say that I don't have a huge amount of relevant experience in the role, so I had to try and adapt my past to fit Grin.

redllamayellowllama · 25/01/2011 19:50

NY, you sound really positive about it, fingers crossed it went well.

I'm in complete seasonal denial and have been looking at pretty summer dresses, which are probably my true weakness. As part of a valiant attempt to dress to suit my shape, I have found this and this. In an ideal world, I'd be looking to wear drapy and unstructured, but I'm short and curvy. Any thoughts?

hellsbelles · 25/01/2011 19:50

NY - that sounds positive. Fingers and toes crossed for you.

Red - those dresses are pretty. I think the red one might be slightly easier to wear as it looks like it has less 'bulk' at the hips, and would probably be more flattering.

ApuskiDusky · 25/01/2011 19:54

Stamp! (will return shortly, got to read the end of t'other thread first)

FritziGreenEyes · 25/01/2011 19:55

redllama I like both dresses. Not sure about the huge bow on the red linen one though...

hellsbelles · 25/01/2011 19:57

Red - can't check link this second but will shortly.

Foghorn...no - sorry!

AntPants1 · 25/01/2011 19:59

red like both dresses but love red one. Wish I could get away with something like that. But alas no so wear it for me!
