Zembo, I hope you are ok. Take care of yourself

OWW I got a lovely red leather cover for my iphone, here via US ebay. Love the sound of your tea party Smile

Vin your P is unbelevable, but you know that. I hop you find somewhere lovely for yourself and ds.

MM let us know how the clogs are, I'm very tempted now I'm a clog convert.

Belstaff owners, I am so tempted, what is the sizing like, I'm usually a 37, but sometimes 36 in boots.

NY my sympathies, I had IBS for years, it was so painful. Thankfully it has disappeared since I gave up wheat. Did you eat anything before you went out running?

Tracey glad the earing turned up. Love tagines, ds1 has decided he wants to be a vegetarian which is playing havoc with my meal-planning. I'm hoping it's a phase.

Exhausted houlihans are very unforgiving, I was v depressed after trying them on, then walked into Zara and found a look-a-like pair that were really flattering. If bloss does a thesis on bretons, I would like to do one on cuts of trousers, a few milimeters here and there seems to transform a pair of trousers, I find it fascinating!

Bloss I got my 3 dc red t-bars as their first shoes, they are in a box, I love looking at them! What's your interview outfit going to be?

Fritzi I hate packing for holidays too! It will be worth it though. I would hate sking, but a week of apres-ski sound very tempting.

monkeysmama · 02/02/2011 17:19

Those nipple things are amazing. Can you imagine the kind of attention they'd attract?

I am going to get lace tops and see which I prefer. I really like the Topshop dress but think it's more of an A/W style so may give it a miss.

If anyone sees any nice flat sandals in a 7 let me know please. I like quite blingy / fancy ones usually.

MM Snap. Saw the Topshop dress and thought, oh nice but hmmm would you want to wear dark lace in spring?

vin Just opened your link, eek! Has anyone actually seen someone wearing such things?

verity Thanks for your lovely round up of thread. I love my Belstaffs and think they are true to size. I used to be a vegetarian in my late teens and it drove my parents to despair. Was more of a fashion thing at the time though as one of the very good-looking boys in our class was vegetarian and we all followed suit. And it worked for me Grin!

vin Please forgive me if I'm overstepping the mark here but P not "allowing" you heels? Please tell me it is not true or that you are going to move to a place of your own with DS only. Of course I don't really "know" you and your P's history but I just feel that you deserve someone who adores you and applauds you for being gorgeous in heels and lipstick!

Hi. Not a very glamorous question but I am on a mission to Protect The Cashmere.

Does anyone use this type of clothes bag?

Thanks Smile

also have bought a load of clothes for the children, as ds1 was walking around with sleeves up to his elbows. A good time to get a lot of nice stuff at over 50%.

MarshaBrady · 02/02/2011 20:08

whoops it was too dull wasn't it...

I have purchased. All ok. Grin

Feelingsensitive · 02/02/2011 20:11

Thanks all for your earlier advice. For info, I am a size 14 (not good), apple shaped so a bit of a gut but nice legs, even if I do say so Wink. 5 ft 4 ins. I was concentrating on SAHM type clothes on a small budget (have about £50 a month to spend on clothes) but have just had some potentially good news. I have my first interview in many years on monday in the area I worked in pre children. Obviiously I am not getting carried away , ahem, but am now considering work and interbiew clothes along SAHM clothes.

I can't get the bold to work so bare with me;

MM - Love the blue dress. No idea what to wear with it but I would vear (sp?) towards nude tights and navy and nude heels. But I am a bit rubbish at all this stuff.

Feelingsensitive · 02/02/2011 20:14

VVV - Love the Breton top.

blossoming · 02/02/2011 20:15

verity, I am having a crisis.
I thought it was sorted. I bought the LKBennett sahara dress for the interview, to wear with the bennett cardigan in black. Then with opaques and new shoeboots.
But it's all wrong [wails].
Truth is I look frump-de-dump. Also the M&S grey coat to go over it doesn't reach the bottom of the dress - one of my bugbears.

So I tried on the shoeboots with the Gap perfect trousers in grey, and OMG the 'blossoming' top (sleeveless black top, bargain find in M&S last year), and the LKB cardigan, and DH looked relieved.
I feel comfortable, and confident, and in control.
I will be able to wear the Pure jacket over it. It really does look good with a flared leg.
Don't know what's wrong with the dress apart from the fact it is blousy at the top and tight at the middle. Something must be wrong for it to be so reduced for so long.

And by the way, I bought the Gap trousers online on Friday night. They arrived on the Monday. Free delivery, free returns. I returned the black pair the next Monday, and I got an email on the Tuesday saying they were processing the payment. Amazing. Isabella Oliver, take note.

AntPants1 · 02/02/2011 20:16

Zembo hope you feel better soon. Xx

NY you have my sympathy. I have had IBS for years. It's ok at the moment but it can be totally debilitating.

Thanks for the feedback about Lily and Lionel scarf. Will wait till after payday and then ponder whether I still want it if it is not as soft as it looks. Thing is I can not afford the LV ones so on the hunt.....

blossoming · 02/02/2011 20:17

feelingsensitive, you're not going for the same job as me are you?

AntPants1 · 02/02/2011 20:19

bloss I wore a very similar outfit yesterday but with new Kew breton. Also wore it with YOUR pure coat. Felt lovely all day xxxx

Feelingsensitive · 02/02/2011 20:20

Grin I don't think so blossoming. Yours was in health wasn't it? Mine is science related of sorts. Your interview outfit sounds lovely. Makes my thoughts of a skirt suit look most dull. Good luck with the interview.

blossoming · 02/02/2011 20:24

No, it's a teaching job sensitive. And I have to teach a class, hence the need for 'confidence' clothing.
antpants1, I have a red and white Kew breton from last year which I barely wear as I have an issue with my crotch showing, don't mind the bum showing! And it was a touch too short. But the red is a true deep red and the white is white, so it does suit me, and looks - honestly - great with the fuchsia cardigan from Boden and the grey trousers.

monkeysmama · 02/02/2011 20:24

That sounds great Bloss. I think the key is always to wear something that makes you feel confident. Good luck.

blossoming · 02/02/2011 20:26

I really do love M&S Chester georgina. There was a 12 Janice navy in the Debenhams concession too, but I left it there.

Feelingsensitive · 02/02/2011 20:26

Well I wish you the best blossoming.

Love the Great Plains dresses GW.

KILDARE4 · 02/02/2011 20:26

Bloss Shame about the dress as it looks so nice online, but the other outfit sounds great and I reckon you will feel a lot more confident in it.

Love the Oliver Bonas top (can't remember who linked to it!)' think that I will get it.

Not very W&A but does anyone have an electic Aga? am thinking of getting one as the Alpha didn't work out(problems with the flue!).

Just wondering would any of you wise ladies consider doing a quick Ebay tutorial for some of us luddites at the MOAM? Just a thoughtSmile.

traceybath · 02/02/2011 20:27

Bloss - perhaps the dress just needs lots of skin on shoe and nude heels to de-frump it?

So, DH doing important stuff in london Hmm [makes it sound way more interesting than it is] Wink so am compiling wish list.

So what do we think of

saw in town and looked pretty

love the colour/rinse

another breton

love this - is it too early to add to birthday list which isn't until august Wink

Can you tell I'm bored tonight.
