Have watched Gypsy Wedding (you can OWW, I'll tell you how if you PM me!). I am rather Shock especially at all those gyrating little girls in micro minis. Wow.

DolceeBanana · 26/01/2011 14:29

I would go for boucle wool carpets for bedrooms..(sisal look, in soft wool)...Crucial Trading do a good range...

I have had several emails in the last few days from estate agents knocking oh, 250k off properties that have been on a while... am drawing up a list as we speak...Wink

Actually I am going to start viewing quite a bit more as am more prepared to compromise. Maybe.Ummmm......

I love clothes, but I think I love houses even more...so I do understand Tracey....

Romanholiday · 26/01/2011 14:30

Sorry for multiple posts but exhausted I so agree. I had PND after ds3 and just couldn't look at myself in the mirror. I didn't undress in front of dh for months (I think he had PND too, so probably didn't notice Grin) and I didn't buy any underwear for a year. I think this thread would have helped me then.

I don't really believe in spending a lot of money on salon beauty either. Getting waxed is hardly luxury and you can do it yourself at home much more quickly and cheaply than the faff of going for a salon. Likewise plucking/facials/exfoliating etc. I've hardly had any salon treatments that I found worth it (though I would fly back to Bangkok for another afternoon in the spa at the Oriental Hotel. Now that was nice).

traceybath · 26/01/2011 14:32

Oh Crucial Trading - thanks Dolcee - was trying to think of them Smile

Romana - I know the small girls and their provocative dancing was really shocking. Am looking forward to next week as it explores more about their day to day lifes and the spectre of DV.

Oh and I have a cream kitchenaid which I use loads and it looks lovely too - whats not to like.

PlumSykes · 26/01/2011 14:33

Sorry tracey, can't set your mind at ease re wardrobe, am too busy spray tanning my 4 yr old DD...

LetThemEatCake · 26/01/2011 14:33

that's lovely to hear exhaustednurse

good luck bloss!

apuski well done for coming through the hard times. Bet he is as bonny and bouncing as can be now.

notyummy · 26/01/2011 14:34

Hi Exhausted - good to hear that you have enjoyed the thread and it has helped you.

Apuski - That is a lovely dress!

blossoming · 26/01/2011 14:36

tracey, Brintons carpets are gorgeous. I have them in a variety of neutrals. Desert sand in bedroom I think.

traceybath · 26/01/2011 14:39

Good job Plum - I do hope she'll then be practicing her gyrating moves so that she shows the other girls how to do it at parties.

PlumSykes · 26/01/2011 14:40

Just pausing from giving the baby a tattoo to say, Tracey, I like this kind of carpet. Looks more 'stylish' that normal tufty pile, but is much softer (and easier to look after) than seagrass-type. Will be ideal for your caravan.

blossoming · 26/01/2011 14:41

Thanks ltec!

traceybath · 26/01/2011 14:54

It'll be shagpile all the way in the caravan thank you very much Smile And whats the weirdness re. the loos - so they all have to go outside to go for a wee?

I tell you though - if I were 4 years old I think that I would adore the life of a gypsy girl Grin

Thanks for more carpet recommendations - will get some samples.

LetThemEatCake · 26/01/2011 15:08

emboldened by plum's teapot and all this talk of kitchenaids, I am going to share the fact that the purchase of this bin has changed my life. I mean, it just never gets full!!

SE London ladies - please would someone go to Traid in Brixton and buy the gorgeous size 40 grey Paul & Joe sack shift with the button-through back that is there for a mere £34. Also the bright blue quilted Marc Jacobs handbag with gold hardware - £9.99.

notyummy · 26/01/2011 15:13

Finally a kitchen link I can comment on - we too have one of those bins LTEC! And yes, because our council has excellent recycling arrangements(in top 1% of country ) and we can put so much in our recycling bin, it takes us at least 10 days to fill the Brabantia.

(Before you all go 'urgh' - I sometimes do empty it bfore it is full!!)

ApuskiDusky · 26/01/2011 15:17

There's a video? Look, it opens, and closes too! (repeat for 90 seconds).

We have one too.

TheAllNewOoooh · 26/01/2011 15:45

I had one of those bins until our cats learned to open it by jumping on the lid, and proceeding to raid it for scraps. They are a bit Mary-Poppins-Carpet-Bag-Esqu though.

This is my bin and I love it Grin.

I can't believe that I'm flat out at work and pressing self-destruct by linking to bins!

It was very nice to emerge from my meeting to all the virtual wolf-whistling! I'm going to take some casual shots of the lace top tonight and see what you think. At the moment I'm inclined to return it but have a fit of the guilts because the QA ladies were so nice and gushy about it. Sucker for a good sales pitch here.

TheAllNewOoooh · 26/01/2011 15:50

Oh and sorry for the me me me posts - am truly v busy at work despite sneaking in a bit of MN but will say hello properly to you all this evening.

LetThemEatCake · 26/01/2011 15:53

oooh - nude cami underneath, skinnies and your new edelman flats as rec by sophable. Woot woot!

ApuskiDusky · 26/01/2011 16:16

lol, have a look at this - seems the group is quite prolific on the s&b board!

MarshaBrady · 26/01/2011 16:27

Stamp. Back later.....

OllieWollieWoo · 26/01/2011 16:28

Apuski - thats v, v funny! Nice to see i have finally made a top 10 list of something!

Now have an iphone (yey) but instructions are all in Dutch (noooo) so will download some later - or hand phone to DH to sort!

ApuskiDusky · 26/01/2011 16:34

OWW, I downloaded the 'iphone missing manual' from the app store when I got mine, I assume there's one for the iphone 4 now. Everything you ever wanted to know!
