Hello...you are most welcome Cake! Smile

No, auction next week...excrutiating. Oh, what will be, will be, I suppose.

Thinking of you too Bloss

Bunny....you are doing great. Lovely calm, vibes coming off from mrs Bunny and the bunnykins.

MrsJ- your fb picture is lovely (sorry Marsha and Bloss-know you can't see...take it from us, she's very pretty!)

Feb Feb sounds good! Always good to have a special event to go to at this time of year, and a 1 year party sounds fab!!!!!!!

When's everyone putting up Christmas decorations/trees etc....think we will do ours this weekend.

Thanks Vin and Verity and Georgina for the coat links...shall have a look.

hellsbelles · 06/12/2010 14:02

Bloss - ignore my previous post - sorry for my stupidity. Hugs being sent your way.

Fleecy · 06/12/2010 14:24

Would definitely be up for Feb evening meet-up but have nothing very exciting to wear - bagsie me wear the navy Janice please!

tracey and notyummy we could all stay in the same hotel. Fun!

DolceeBanana · 06/12/2010 14:32

Yes, of course we would all have to stay away...

Fleecy - when's the tree being done then?

LetThemEatCake · 06/12/2010 14:35

back properly now (ie not in car on phone)

For some reason dd and ds1 saw fit to chant "Mama!! Cashmere! Mama!! Cashmere!Mama! Cashmere!!" all the way home.

Now need coffee.

GW great outfit, have a lovely lunch

bunny well done! so glad the girls are doing well and that you are coping so fabulously

ny when are you off to Geneva?

tracey it's just me and dh for Nobu, we are having a drinks party with lots of people a few days before. Am hoping to wear HH dress for Nobu but will have to see how it is as I tried on the 4 in Primrose Hill a few weeks ago which was probably already a teensy bit big ..anyway have lost a fair bit of weight since then - and have got a 4 coming ... so we'll see.

Tree will happen somethime this week Dolce, I like to focus on C's birthday before we start on Xmas. Thanks OWW and Fritzi for the Xmas Eve tips, I have to create something in a similar vein - whole 'nother story there, let's not bother to go there Angry

yangy glad the lace dress got an outing, sounds fab! Nice work on the Herne Hill purchase Wink did you qualify for Pizza Express discount?!! Grin

fleecy yep Navy Janice is all yours, you got in first.

Cannot believe you have booked your next year's holiday already tracey...wow! Our first holiday together was in Turkey...budget in Fethiye...ooh, in 1990...(ahem)...

notyummy · 06/12/2010 14:36

Ha ha - LOVING the idea of huge Janice bitch fight.....draping at dawn Grin

Yes - same hotel to stay in, and drunken giggling when trying to find room (or is that just me? I can't be the only lush, say it ain't so?!)

MarshaBrady · 06/12/2010 14:38

NY I am extremely chatty when drinking champagne.

I do not need other um help

I am high on champagne! I always laugh when leaving a party..... as I was on Sat night with person who shared a taxi with me.

notyummy · 06/12/2010 14:40

Geneva - a week on friday. Just a long weekend. Staying with some lovely friends of ours. She is def a W and A lady at heart! I have only ever been to Geneva airport and driven straight up to the ski slopes, so am looking forward to spending some time there - and hoping it will be all festive and lovely. Smile

OllieWollieWoo · 06/12/2010 14:46

Hells - thanks for the advice - quick question - which type of Hedrin so you use - the once stuff or the spray or lotion? Have put a nitty gritty comb in shopping basket.

I should be able to make a Feb meet up - the one thing that bothers me slightly tho is the risk of bad weather hampering travle plans - last Feb was when we had all that snow wasn't it? Would March be a safer bet or is that too long to wait? Hotel sounds a good idea.

LTEC - does your Christmas Eve plans involve your MIL/SIL?????!!!! (OWW whispers hope not!).

Tracey - there are some nice craft ideas on this thread - I like the loo roll reindeer!

We are putting decorations up on Saturday morning. Mad weekend coming up. People staying Saturday afternoon and evening, departing before lunch Sunday, and then hosting big Xmas get together for friends Sunday afternoon/evening. By 3pm on Saturday I need a perfectly seasonal, tidy house with LOTS of food cooked. Food arriving Thursday night. Will have to do critical path project plan..Wink

Hoover died last night, and I have another on order to arrive Friday night (earliest date they could do.) Will be like a cat on hot bricks waiting for it to arrive, as frankly the house is looking scruffy already (died at the start of a hoovering session yesterday) so it will look awful by Friday....and I have a house full of people to clean for. Ahhh!

DolceeBanana · 06/12/2010 14:47

Yes, I am very chatty and pally when on champagne, or come to that, any alcohol. I had one G&T on Saturday night and felt literally squiffy, so had to eat something rapidly ...

I do love chapmagne though...so civilised. Grin

Yes, we painstakingly create the 'magic of christmas' in this house too...rather enjoy it. But last year DD snuck back downstairs unbeknown to us and slurped a big gulp of Port left for Father Christmas (she thought it was Ribena), promptly spat it out and tipped it all over the cream rug. Dh was not quick enough to stop her....lesson learned, knock it back quickly this year dh!

Fleecy · 06/12/2010 14:49

Tree next weekend I think dolce as we have people over the weekend after that so no time! Have you ever bought at auction before? I always wanted to and we finally did a couple of years ago. Was very exciting indeed.

Champagne and giggling hand in hand here too...

Our cleaner starts tomorrow - very excited Smile

Fleecy · 06/12/2010 14:50

I'm very excited - she's probably not!

DolceeBanana · 06/12/2010 14:50

NY you make me laugh with your critical path project plan!!! You are so funny....!Right, off to wake sleeping babes then pick up, then swimming.....and dh away tonight...busy, busy!

DolceeBanana · 06/12/2010 14:53

No, never bought at auction. At least we'll know immediately if we have it or not. But every man and literally his dog is interested so dwindling hopes by the minute. It could be fab...acreage etc. But que sera, sera...

LetThemEatCake · 06/12/2010 14:55

okay OWW you asked so that means that I can rant

So, my mum and sister are here for Xmas this year. Our last UK Xmas, one of the few chances that our dc will ever have to have both sides of family together on Xmas day. We have the biggest house (and it's a hassle to drive for an hour or so with the dc, quite frankly) so we suggested we have everyone here for the day. They have said "oh well your family are going to be there so we'd rather just see you separately and come to you Xmas Eve" (how rude!!) and SIl has said "I can't do Xmas Eve and I have a new house with a fireplace and want to spend Xmas there so I will have mum (ie MIL) and stepdad over Xmas day and you can come to me Boxing Day". So now I have to spread xmas out over 3 bloody days, 2 of them with undesirables, instead of getting it all out of the way on one day and then having a lazy day on Boxing Day. Grrrrrr.

And MiL has made noises about missing out on all the nice traditions of Xmas day (and whose fault is that??!!!!) with the dc so wants Xmas Eve to be 'special". Hence my european questioning ....

well, you asked!! Grin

Brrrrr - freezing here. So pretty though with all the trees frosted up. We will be at my parents' house for a week or so over Christmas this year so we put our decorations up yesterday to make the most of them. DD is fascinated by them - especially the tree and has positioned her little chair so that she can sit and gaze at it. So cute!

Sympathies cake on the Christmas issues. We are having a 'fake' (MIL's word, I would prefer 'first') Christmas at PILs before we go down to my parents'. I am practicing my fixed smile already.
*
NY* - agh - hoover breakage is my nightmare. I get so twitchy if the carpet starts to look ropey. WIshing you a speedy delivery Grin

Tracey What a lovely holiday to look forward to. Lucky you.

Thank you for the compliments about fb photos Blush. I'd love to make an evening meet up but think you'd realise that the camera has been quiet kind if you met me in person Grin

Bloss Am thinking of you and your family. Take care.

LetThemEatCake · 06/12/2010 15:14

OWW may have a point, would be horrid to have plans scuppered by foul weather .. also AW10 sartorial ennui may have set in by Feb whereas by March bound to be some new SS11 purchases waiting to be showcased??
