quiet quite.

carciofi · 06/12/2010 15:39

Blossoming, hope your purchases arrive soon. DD loved the apron so thank you very much. Thinking of you this week.

I am waiting for a pair of Boden jeans for DD, hope they arrive before we move.

Yangymac, that sounds rough with DH away for 3 months.

I get off easy as we either stay with my dad or stay in London, we never go to my dh's family at Christmas (though they are nice).

I would love to go to Nobu, LTEC.

Went to Harrods this morning to get the security tag then chased DD around the toy department. I bribed her with a present and then bought this for myself. There is 30% off for Harrods cardholders this week.

Belated happy birthday, Bunny.

Got to do more packing now. Have fun at the meet up. I will be unpacking!

carciofi · 06/12/2010 15:41

To get the security tag taken off a bag I bought from their website, that is! Not to buy a security tag. :)

blossoming · 06/12/2010 16:03

How exciting re meet up! Book me into the a&w hotel pronto! (But 4th Feb is my rugby w/end to Cardiff to celebrate 10 yrs of finally getting it together with dh after 13 years!)

Thank you ladies for your support. I'm fine right now but am dreading Thursday. So far dh is taking the day off work and I've ordered a wreath for the grave.

hellsbelles · 06/12/2010 16:34

Tracey - glad it's good...I think it's a really useful dress for spring

LTEC - a size 4 seemed a bit big Shock?? Tracey - I've been very naughty diet wise recently so sit next to me and you'll feel better Grin

traceybath · 06/12/2010 16:37

Bloss - do you know I just can't imagine how tough Thursday is going to be for you all Sad

Actually OWW has a very good point regarding the weather - perhaps early March then?

LetThemEatCake · 06/12/2010 16:45

yay for outnet success tracey! yet again you defy the odds

hells and tracey. It's just my upper half making clothes seem big. My shoulders/ back/ rib cage are all jutty now but arse and thighs still Lopeztastic. Urgh. Honest, the way I look does not reflect what he numbers on the scales say which is most frustrating.

bloss there are no words. Just my deepest wishes and, if you'll let me, hugs

OP posts:
LetThemEatCake · 06/12/2010 16:48

what clutch bags do you all have? I only have one for evening, a luscious purple Becksondergaard (sp??) but wondering whether to ask dh for another, more grown up one for b'day.

OP posts:
traceybath · 06/12/2010 16:53

LTEC I've asked for this from DH for xmas but suspect I won't be getting it.

Right was contemplating clothes for sunday and think will wear a dress and duvet coat.

What you all going to wear?

LetThemEatCake · 06/12/2010 16:58

menus you lot!! tell me what menu you want!!!!

OP posts:
traceybath · 06/12/2010 17:02

Oh sorry - will do so now - are we all having the cheaper one?

hellsbelles · 06/12/2010 17:03

I have an M&S clutch bag from about 1982.

Tracey - swoon! Now that is a proper clutch bag.

Menus - can we all have different ones? I'm easy anyway -I'm going there again 5 days later so will get to sample the entire range of their wares!

LetThemEatCake · 06/12/2010 17:12

oh I think we can all have different?

now on another note (sorry kids eating leftover bday cake and watching shrek which means I am being v self-indulgently all about moi) - should i eaby my isabella oliver cable cosy? it is a medium so too big also has no buttons so very flappy was great for bfing but now a bit obsolete .... or should I keep it as a casual snuggler? will it be the thing that dd seeks out and wears, all full of holes, when she comes home for weekends from uni?? the thing that she snuggles up to me in whilst sharing her boyfriend/ study woes?

the point is - do I ebay it and if so, do I get a new cardi coat, one with buttons? and if so, which??

OP posts:
LetThemEatCake · 06/12/2010 17:16

OMG what plonkers

Just phoned them. Ignore the menus. Irrelevant to us. We just choose on the day. They don't know why they sent me that.

hells and colleagues - you have been warned Wink

Oh vin although it's sad I guess it's good news anyway! Well done. If you need help packing for Paris, I'll hop on a plane right now and help you Smile. Well done for being so strong, can't be easy no matter the circumstances. You definitely deserve better. Think what a weight off your shoulders it will be come Christmas.

blossoming · 06/12/2010 18:31

Stay strong vino. Is it too late to change the locks? I know it's hard, but dear me, in years to come you'll look back and wonder what took you so long. You have all our support you know that.

DolceeBanana · 06/12/2010 18:31

Oh God Cake...your ILs are being rather thoughtless aren't they? Deep breaths and it will all come together...don't let them get you down, although tricksy at times I know.

I'd ebay the IO as its too big. How was the Jigsaw one Tracey? I rather fancied it when I saw it in RL, but have this grey cable one which is so warm and goes with everything.

Just had conversation with dh who is off out on Boxing do...corporate mens thing...Hmm ...and he asked what we had planned for weekend..and so I said getting and decorating the tree...which he hates doing because I am a fussy little so and so and never go for the first tree. And then I make him trim it and place in bucket, and moan Grin Oh, really looking forward to it now!

Will really miss meeting you guys this weekend, alas. Hope we can come up with something in the New Year...

Right, bath time for the little ones...maybe catch you later....

DolceeBanana · 06/12/2010 18:33

Vin ...thinking of you, and keep strong...you go girl!!!

carciofi · 06/12/2010 19:29

Vin thank you and well done!

LTEC, I would ebay and get a Goat cardi.

LetThemEatCake · 06/12/2010 19:32

oh Vin thank goodness. stay strong and stick with it. Onwards and upwards. I can imagine that with all your shared history and indeed, tragedy, it must be so hard to leave but you will be honouring your dd's memory far more by leaving than by staying, far more so than by attending a service, far more than anything. Time for some happiness for you and it ain't going to happen with him.

A Goat cardi you say carciofi? where from?

OP posts:
carciofi · 06/12/2010 19:36

I'm thinking of this if it goes in the sale ... Tracey is it the one you bought?

GeorginaWorsley · 06/12/2010 19:42
