IPhone ate my post Angry. Summary:

hf- yay re hols and DHs job

rufus - love first dress

fleecy - like military cape

I lost one of DDs shoes. Boo hoo.

carciofi · 11/08/2010 20:59

Skinny J Brands
Barbour jacket
DKNY navy cozy
Burberry pea coat
J Crew top

Probably won't get any of it though!

carciofi · 11/08/2010 21:00

Bunnymother oh now, how annoying. My dd took one of her shoes off and threw them away last year, I didn't notice until we got home but I retraced my steps and found it in the park!

carciofi · 11/08/2010 21:00

oh no, not oh now!

rufus101 · 11/08/2010 21:11

Carciofi that salad sounds absolutely gorgeous. I love that I'd have all the ingredients to hand. I have to buy pine nuts in small packs though, I eat them by the handful if I have them!
Love the barbour jacket, I wonder is it warm. My Belstaff jacket is lovely, but not very cosy. It just looks cosy. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for you. Am away next week for a staycation, but will be back the following week.
So annoying when DCs loose their shoes. I have resorted to having one pair of shoes, one pair of trainers, one pair of wellies, as anything more and it's a nightmare keeping track . (well with 3 DC it is anyway!)

traceybath · 11/08/2010 21:14

Lordy I am morose tonight - just listening to Dolly P my guilty pleasure Blush

And then read a really sad thread and reminded myself I have an awful lot to be grateful for.

Carciofi - love all your links - do you know when the Anya Hindmarch/barbour collaboration is going to hit the shops?

Also - anyone see the J brand Gigi jeans - a cropped flare - not my bag I must say - way too Lieutenant Uhuru.

Bunny - what a pain re DD's shoes. Am off to get Bea her first shoes on Friday - rather excited about it Smile.

traceybath · 11/08/2010 21:15

Fritzi - pain about coat. What colour/shape is it?

Fleecy - I like the second cape best - how about ordering the petite version so its not too big?

FritziGreenEyes · 11/08/2010 21:17

Sorry about DD's shoe bunny. So annoying...

Love your list carciofi, the pea coat is gorgeous! Have decided to take the coat I bought today back and make a list with things I really want/need first.

notyummy · 11/08/2010 21:25

Just watching the most heart rending documentary about a very young (both under 17) couple from really rough backgrounds in the states who have made the decision to have their baby adopted. Just filmed the birth and handover. Young parents devastated but determined that baby should have a better life than them and don't feel equipped to looked after her.

Oh god. So sad- but brave as well. And potentially a good outcome for baby and adoptive family. Useless druggy parents of teenagers slagging them off for choosing adoption, but not providing any practical help as out of face and in and out of prison.

It is a grey lambskin coat with shearling on the inside, mid length, big furry collar and cuffs.

Wasn't wise to buy something so £££ as my body has changed shape compared to last winter. I lost about a stone and I'm now back to pre-pregnancy weight. I like my body right now but I'm also constantly worried that I will put the weight back on. I hope that exercising regularly will make it easier but it's complicated Sorry if TMI you only wanted to know what the coat looks like Grin

traceybath · 11/08/2010 21:34

Coat sounds lovely Fritzi - I love that whole 'Joseph' look of luxe shearling coats.

I so get you though with regards to the weight thing Smile - constant vigilence is needed by me to stay the weight I want to be.

FritziGreenEyes · 11/08/2010 21:39

rufus - Don't buy small packets of pine nuts. Big packets are more economical and you will have more money left to spend on clothes Smile. You can always put the packet in the freezer and defrost small portions.

notyummy - That's a heartbreaking story. One of my friends have two foster children. Both are from mothers with drug-related background who gave them away at birth. Every time I see them I just think how lucky they are to be able to grow up in my friend's family.

marking my place. Had lovely dinner at Jamie Oliver's tonight -
wore Giraffe print dress, Theory jacket and signature Louboutins.

Feel guilty that meal planning involves which restaurant to have dinner after work Blush

rufus101 · 11/08/2010 23:04

Defintitely the second pair Everything. Have a great time at the festival.

So sad NY. I get constantly exasperated with those kind of feckless parents. (Of the teenagers I mean) I, on the other hand was watching Private Practise on Living. I love Addison's clothes. Would love to look like that at work. Someone at work today was admiring my dress, and I said "Oh, I bought it online", which is what I seem to say all the time to this lady. So much so, that she said "Was it The Outnet?" and I said "No it was Feverdesigns". She got out her pad and pen to take down the name. She's 64! You have to admire that! Still loving her style.

Good idea with the pinenuts Fritzi didn't know you could freeze them. At least that would stop me scoffing.

rufus101 · 11/08/2010 23:05

Outfit sounds divine Choo, bet the food took second place!

MarshaBrady · 11/08/2010 23:34

Nice links as usual.

I'm going to give the cape a miss and may not buy a coat. Still have a Chloe / Vanessa B and Ralph Lauren kicking around.

And I now have loads of boots.

So I think I just want an excellent dress, for new figure (and a pile of new Wolfords).

And maybe a new bit of cashmere.

Low key.

What do others think they would like?

MarshaBrady · 12/08/2010 00:28

Oh yeah and a big scarf. Bright.

(dh out ach..)

notyummy · 12/08/2010 08:14

Choo - Loving the sound of the oufit and the venue - I shall live vicariously through you, whilst I am out here in the sticks! We are out tomorrow night actually to quite a posh gastro-pub place near us, so will have to plan for that. Mother in law and her DH with us, which is better than it sounds, as she is a very 'young' MIL who is into clothes (and wine - can drink me under the table...) and although lives far away tries to help out in any way she can.

Everything - wow, Vintage at Goodwood looks like it will be fabulous. I am sure you will lok stunning.

Marsha - Having had a recent cheap and cheerful sprees, I think I will leave it at that tbh. I don't feel the need for camel, and have a couple of pretty decent winter coats (one of which is edging towards the military trend - it's true that if you keep anything long enough it comes back into fashion!)

Oh, and I was reading a magazine this week, but annoyingly can't remember which one it was, that had different stylists showing us how to 'do' the looks of the season. One picture had a stylist trilling 'Just nod to the military trend with accessories.' She had the model wearing - I kid you not ladies - a Biggles style leather flying cap. Even on the stunning model in the picture it looked laugh out loud hilarious. I have a feeling it may have been Easy Living, which makes even more mind boggling. It said it was from ASOS, because I was desperately trying to find a link to show you (and DH who would ROFL) but I assume not in stock yet because I can't find it. Twas v amusing - and quite bonkers.

OP posts:
Whelk · 12/08/2010 08:58

Marsha- A dress and a few knits/cashmere are about the only things on my list too, (as well as the 'boyfriend/loose' jeans) I have coats and boots that I love. I have a lovely Jaegar camel top which I found in a charity shop which will do for my camel fix

I also want to move house soon so all pennies going into that account!

Famous last words though eh?

MarshaBrady · 12/08/2010 08:59

Quite, Whelk Smile.

Lol at hat ny.

DolceeBanana · 12/08/2010 09:41

Carciofi - like all the links! Do you think you actually will get any of it?

Am going to be sensible now over buying as really have quite a few things for next season...and tbh, I keep forgetting what I do have! They have been lurking in the wardrobe, so must get organised as i need to focus on house!

However, Grin I do need a showerproof coat...funky and bright coloured I was thinking...can I find though...?

Ooh Whelk, you looking too? Well, I think more is coming to market, so fingers crossed, and thanks Fritzi for your kind wishes on house front for La Famiglia Dolce...

Meant also to say thanks to Bunny for kind comments re DCs! Sorry about shoes....!

OOh Tracey! So exciting about Bea's first shoes!!! I was looking at shoes...we are a bit off that yet, although DD starting to try and walk around holding furniture (10 months), so hopefully in next couple of months! Start-rite have beautiful Caty ones...soft and so pretty...not sure if they are early walkers though...

FritziGreenEyes · 12/08/2010 09:49

Morning all! Back from my mission. Returned coat. All is well. I'm relieved and so much money saved, phew. Have to start cleaning and cooking now as my parents will visit later.

Have a lovely day everybody!

DolceeBanana · 12/08/2010 09:52

Ooh Cake - how did it go yesterday, and very importantly, what were you wearing?

Choo- your outfit sounds fab! (As usual)....!

I have my fave brown Hobbs chunky heel boots for this season and black bikers (which believe it or not got last year in Jones' children's department, and saved ££s).

Whelk · 12/08/2010 09:56

Where is vinovino? Hope you are OK?

Choo your outfit sounds fab and I am Envy at your 'meal planning'
