Phew! I really hope Emma Hayes doesn't start her tomorrow, though.

She has. Also, I forgot about Codina of course.

BellaAmorosa · 06/08/2024 17:56

Yeah, Of course she has. I'm watching and I don't think EF is 100% fit. I'm livid.

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 06/08/2024 22:11

Codina coming back thank goodness.

BellaAmorosa · 06/08/2024 22:15

That was my first thought, too!

Codina coming back thank goodness.

I forgot about the 3rd place play-off!

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 09/08/2024 16:00

What a dramatic end to the match.

BellaAmorosa · 09/08/2024 16:32

Yes. I'm glad Berger saved because I thought it was a bullshit penalty. I feel bad for Codina, who has played quite well. But by this stage, everyone's just tired and cross and wants to come home anyway!

Arsenal have signed Rosa Kafaji! Young Swedish schemer, heiress to role of Kosovare Asllani in the national team.
She was great in the Champions League, big part of BK Hacken's progression.

Chloe Lacasse has left! I wonder why. She was doing so well.

She is going to the US, isn't she. Closer to home maybe?

Regarding Cloe Lacasse... She was not getting enough game time. She's 31 years old, the move to Arsenal was meant to be her big break, but it didn't happen for her. JE didn't trust her, it would seem, and there's no way round that. There isn't time to work her way into the starting line-up. She wants to play for Canada more and so she needs to be a starter now. I really, really like her and I can't blame her for moving on, especially since we get a fee for her which is more than we paid Benfica, apparently.

She's off to the Utah Royals in the NWSL.

BellaAmorosa · 15/08/2024 11:42

And she had the best chant in the history of football!

BellaAmorosa · 20/08/2024 08:31

This happens to be about an ex-Arsenal Women player, but that's not the main point. Gets released from her club and starts a coaching academy at the age of 17!

The things she says about the financial hardship suffered by young players on the fringe of the first team are quite sobering. Lack of money is still a barrier to participation for some.

How former Arsenal academy star and young Lioness Alex Hennessy turned passion into purpose with coaching academy

Interview: Former Arsenal academy starlet and Alex Hennessy made the brave decision at 17 to pursue a coaching career instead of one as a professional player.
